Résumé

The history of Western Pacific Region Index Medicus (WPRIM), and advances in its journal selection, retrieval service platform construction and data acquisition were described. The daily record of users showed that WPRIM is of certain international influencing power, but is not a matured regional international index medicus. Suggestions were put forward for its popularization, project development funds, journal review and data acquisition.

Résumé

PURPOSE: To evaluate and compare the diagnostic performance of Humphrey Matrix frequency doubling technology perimetry (Matrix) global indices with standard automated perimetry (SAP) for glaucoma discrimination. METHODS: Forty-seven healthy and 63 glaucomatous subjects were included in this study. Glaucoma was defined as having glaucomatous optic disc and glaucomatous visual field defect. Correlations of mean deviation (MD) and pattern standard deviation (PSD) between Matrix and SAP were evaluated. Areas under receiver operating characteristic curves (AUCs) for discriminating healthy from glaucoma, sensitivity, and cut-off value at fixed specificity of MD and PSD were determined in Matrix and SAP. RESULTS: MD and PSD from Matrix were highly correlated with SAP data in glaucomatous eyes (r=0.80, 0.69 p<0.001, <0.001). The AUCs of MD and PSD from Matrix (0.941, 0.921) were of comparable diagnostic capability to SAP data (0.876, 0.923, p=0.068, 0.927). The sensitivity at 90% specificity of MD was 67.9% in SAP, 76.4% in Matrix, with the cut off value of MD at 90% specificity at -3.10dB in SAP and -3.72dB in Matrix. CONCLUSIONS: MD and PSD data from Matrix and SAP significantly correlated in glaucomatous eyes and showed similar diagnostic performance for discriminating healthy from glaucoma however, both MD and PSD are scaled differently on SAP and Matrix, which suggests that application of these parameters in a manner similar to that used in SAP should be employed with caution.

Résumé

To evaluate the validity of FDT as a field analyzer by comparing to Humphrey perimetry with global indeces.FDT is known as a easy to use and convenient device, and there is restriction in pupil size and refractive error within 7 diopters. Forty-two glaucoma patients[79 eyes]were included in this study. All subjects performed FDT N-30 and HFA C30-2 apart 15 minutes on same day.Mean age of subjects were 48.18 +/-16.46years[from sixteen to seventy four years].Twenty-five men and seventeen women were included in this study. Test duration was 4.92 +/-1.08 minutes with FDT N-30 and 13.79 +/-3.32 minutes with HFA C30-2.In global index mean deviation was 14.63 +/-9.52 decibel with HFA C30-2 and 10.33 +/-6 .8 3 decibel with FDT.There was a significant correlation with coefficient correlation 0.940 between two tests[p<0.01]. Pattern standard deviation was 7.89 +/-3 .8 5 decibel in HFA C30-2 and 7.80 +/-3.13 in FDT.There was a significant correlation with coefficient correlation 0.702 between FDT PSD and HFA C30-2 PSD, and 0.691 between FDT PSD and HFA C30-2 CPSD, too[P<0.01].In diagnosing glaucoma, sensitivity and specificity of FDT was 86% and 70% respectively. FDT is thought to be convenient and effective screening tool in glaucoma patients for with a high correlation with HFA C30-2.

Résumé

The Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer and The Octopus Visual Field Analyzer in Early Primary Open Angle Glaucoma Visual field measurements are useful tool not only for diagnosis but also for management ealuation of early glaucoma. To know the relationship between the results of visual field which were performed by the Humphrey and the Octopus, the 25 disc data which have shown the general reduction of sensitivity on two continuous separate sessions in Humphrey viual field analyzer were transmitted into the Peridata Standard Printout Mode of GIX program on the Octopus 1-2-3. We compared the aspect of Bebie curve of Octopus 1-2-3 and the difference of the global indices between Humphrey and Octopus in the basically input data of age related standard sensitivity of visual field. The general reduction of sensitivity in Humphrey visual field analyzer showed the sensitivity loss in Bebie curve of Octopus 1-2-3(p0.05) but were difference the CPSD and SF(p<0.05). In the comparison of the correlation on global indices between the two field analysis. MD and PSD were closely correlated r=0.657, PSD r=0.697, p<0.001), CPSD and SF were statistically correlated(p<0.001) but had lower correlation coefficients(CPSD r=0.478, SF r=0.389). Thus we conclude that there are little differences between the results of two field analyzers.
