Résumé

Viral infections is the cause of liver inflammation, cirrhosis and even liver hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Despite the availability of HBV vaccine and antiviral treatment for HBV and HCV both remain a major health problem. The aim of this study To determine the seroprevalence of HBV and HCV infection among pregnant women in Sharkia governorate, Egypt.

Résumé

Objective:To investigate the change of liver function, viral load and CD4+T count in pediatric AIDS patients with HBV/HCV co-infection after HARRT therapy, and explore the effect of HBV/HCV co-infection on HAART.Methods:95 pediatric AIDS patients without HBV/HCV co-infection ( group A) ,9 pediatric AIDS patients with HBV co-infection ( group B) and 23 pediatric AIDS patients with HCV co-infection ( group C) who received HAART for 2 year were enrolled.Liver function, viral load and CD4+T count were detected before and after HAART.Results:After HAART for 2 years,26 patients (20.5%) were found with liver injury of grade 2 (1000.05 ) .Conclusion: Co-infection of HBV/HCV can aggravate the liver damage of HIV-1 infected children, but has no significant effect on HAART.

Résumé

Objective To investigate the NAT(nucleic acid amplification technique)-HBV/HCV results among single ALT(+)blood donors,in order to provide theoretical basis of optimizing strategy for blood screening. Methods A total of 28 800 samples, from December 2006 to December 2007,were studied retrospectively.ALT was tested by rate method.HBV-DNA and HCV-RNA in single ALT(+) samples were detected via NAT-HBV/HCV.The relationship between positive ALT values and ELSIA-HBV/HCV OD values was analyzed. Results A total of 2 516 ALT(+) cases were found in 28 800 samples.Of these ALT(+)cases,8 positive cases were found via NAT-HBV/HCV,including 5 HBV-DNA(+) and 3 HCV-RNA(+) cases. The positive rates of NAT-HBV/HCV for the donors with ALT values ≤80 U/L were significant lower than those with ALT values≥81 U/L(P

Résumé

At Viet Duc Hospital from 1998 to 1999, 50 HIV(+) intravenous drug users, aged in average 26,4 were investigated. Anti HCV serum (+) in 62%, HCV Co-infected 30% and HBV 46%, co- infected with only HBV 16%, HIV, HBV, HCV 3 viruses co- infected 32%. The co- infected incidence was 50% in the year 1998 and 66% in 1999; 22% had not HBV and HCV co- infection. HBV and HCV co-infection characteristies: hiver cell degradation in 46,65% of HIV + HCV+ HBV co- infected; 68,75% in HIV+ HCV co- infection; 87,5% in HIV+ HBV co- infection. There were no much difference in term of the number of lymphocyte and monocyte between patients of 3 virus- infection, 2 virus infection and only HIV infection
