After the application of Altmetrics in medical library and its development in China and foreign countries were described, the author pointed out that Altmetrics can help medical library to perfect its collection structure, improve its reader service, strengthen its connection with users, and bring a new direction for medical library and biomedical researchers to improve their impact.

Objective To design and implement the academic impact power information platform for the secondary disciplines of clinical medicine in order to keep abreast of their advantages and disadvantages. Methods An index system for the assessment of secondary disciplines of clinical medicine was constructed with the bibliometric methods according to the factual data. Results Its functions of query analysis, batch input, and editing of the index data of different disciplines were achieved in higher education institutions using the ASP. NET technology based on the data processing, indexing and statistical analysis. Conclusion The platform can provide the data support for the develop-ment and scientific research management of secondary disciplines, and thus playing an important role in promoting the innovative research and management of clinical medicine.

Objective To study the application of citation frequency, relative impact power and social network analysis in evaluation of scientific papers. Methods A total of 37919 papers onfemale fertility maintenance published in 2006-2015 were evaluated by citation frequency, relative impact power and social network analysis, respectively. Their coincidence and correlativity, and the effect of citation structure on the papers sequenced according to their citation frequency, relative impact power and social network were analyzed. Results The local citation frequency could measure the publication time of papers and the effect on their sequence. Conclusion Global citation frequency can measure the effect width and depth of papers, intermediary centrality can help to find the core papers, and ap-proximate centrality can help to measure the early published papers.

PURPOSE: To report a case of traumatic retinal detachment associated with ocular injury in incomplete diving. METHODS: A 15-year-old female complaining of floaters before the eyes was referred to our hospital. In both fundus, we found retinal holes in inferonasal quadrant. We investigated physical properties of retinal detachment associated with diving. RESULTS: When the human body falls down from 10 m height, the impact power is the same as the pressure exerted by 595 kg weight to the body for one second. And this power may cause retinal detachment. CONCLUSIONS: Today there are many sport activities and retinal injuries can occur by various mechanism. We report our clinical experience with retinal detachment associated with diving.
