Resumo As tecnologias eHealth contribuem na promoção das práticas parentais de cuidado para bebês pré-termo. Não obstante, é notável a abundância de informações e aplicativos disponíveis, a disparidade na qualidade, facilidade de uso e confiabilidade desses recursos. Este artigo objetiva examinar as tecnologias eHealth direcionadas aos pais para o cuidado de bebês pré-termo. Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa nas principais bases de dados da área da saúde (Capes, EBSCO, BVS, PubMed, Scholar e SciELO), com a seleção de publicações de 2011 a 2022, em português e inglês, sobre a utilização de tecnologias eHealth voltadas aos cuidados de bebês pré-termo. Identificaram-se 13 artigos com temáticas sobre: as tecnologias da informação e comunicação nas estratégias de educação e a promoção da saúde de bebês pré-termo e seus pais; e importância da avaliação e validação das tecnologias eHealth na promoção da saúde materno-infantil. Tecnologias eHealth validadas adequadamente podem desempenhar um papel fundamental em apoiar os pais na promoção da saúde e na prestação de cuidados ao bebê pré-termo após a alta hospitalar. Isso, por sua vez, tem o potencial de impulsionar a evolução dos sistemas de saúde e a melhoria das práticas clínicas.


Abstract The eHealth technologies promote parental care practices for preterm infants. Nonetheless, we should underscore the abundant information and available apps and disparities in these resources' quality, usability, and reliability. This article examines eHealth technologies directed at parents to care for preterm infants. An integrative review was conducted across the principal health databases (Capes, EBSCO, BVS, PubMed, Scholar, and SciELO), selecting works published from 2011 to 2022 in Portuguese and English, focusing on the use of eHealth technologies for the care of preterm infants. We identified 13 articles related to information and communication technologies in strategies for educating and promoting the health of preterm infants and their parents and the importance of evaluating and validating eHealth technologies in maternal and child health promotion. Properly validated eHealth technologies can be crucial in supporting parents in promoting health and providing care for preterm infants after hospital discharge, which, in turn, can drive the evolution of healthcare systems and improve clinical practices.

Este estudio, tuvo como finalidad, determinar la relación entre Estilos de crianza y Conductas agresivas en Estudiantes de Secundaria del Centro Poblado Samán, 2023. Por tal manera, este estudio fue de tipo cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, corte transversal- correlacional. Además, se usaron para la recopilación de la información, los instrumentos de, Escala de Estilos de crianza de Steinberg, adaptado por Merino y Arndt y Cuestionario de Agresión de Buss y Perry, adaptado por Matalinares, Yaringaño, Uceda, Fernández, Huari Campos y Villavicencio. Para lo cual, la muestra de este estudio estuvo conformada por 160 alumnos de ambos sexos. Para el análisis de los datos se usó del programa Paquete Estadístico para las Ciencias Sociales, mediante ello, se obtuvo como resultado una relación significativa, moderada e inversa (Spearman =-0.638, significancia <0.05) entre las dos variables de estudio. Por tal sentido, a medida que el estilo de crianza baja, la tendencia a manifestar conductas agresivas aumenta. Basándose en los resultados, se concluye, la forma en cómo los progenitores interactúen con sus hijos, esto desarrollará su comportamiento. Por ello, en los sujetos que sus progenitores han desarrollado autonomía, interés en sus actividades, supervisión de la conducta y además emplean una comunicación empática en los reglamentos, habrá menor posibilidad de que estos presenten agresivas conductas. Al contrario, los individuos con poca supervisión, falta de atención por parte de sus padres, y la falta de asertividad de sus cuidadores, habrá mayor posibilidad de que estos expresen conductas agresivas.


The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Parenting Styles and Aggressive Behaviors in High School Students of the Samán Population Center, 2023. Therefore, this study was quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional-correlational design. In addition, the Steinberg Parenting Styles Scale, adapted by Merino and Arndt, and the Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire, adapted by Matalinares, Yaringaño, Uceda, Fernández, Huari Campos and Villavicencio, were used to collect information. For this reason, the sample of this study was made up of 160 students of both sexes. To analyze the data, the Statistical Package for Social Sciences program was used, resulting in a significant, moderate and inverse relationship (Spearman =-0.638, significance <0.05) between the two study variables. Therefore, as the parenting style decreases, the tendency to manifest aggressive behaviors increases. Based on the results, it is concluded that the way parents interact with their children will develop their behavior. Therefore, in subjects whose parents have developed autonomy, interest in their activities, behavioral supervision and also use empathetic communication in regulations, there will be less possibility of them presenting aggressive behaviors. On the contrary, individuals with little supervision, lack of attention from their parents, and lack of assertiveness from their caregivers will be more likely to express aggressive behaviors.


O objetivo deste estudo foi determinar a relação entre estilos parentais e comportamentos agressivos em estudantes do ensino médio do Centro Populacional Samán, 2023. Portanto, este estudo teve um desenho quantitativo, não experimental, transversal e correlacional. Além disso, foram utilizadas para coletar informações a Escala de Estilos Parentais de Steinberg, adaptada por Merino e Arndt, e o Questionário de Agressão de Buss e Perry, adaptado por Matalinares, Yaringaño, Uceda, Fernández, Huari Campos e Villavicencio. Por esse motivo, a amostra deste estudo foi composta por 160 estudantes de ambos os sexos. Para análise dos dados foi utilizado o programa Statistical Package for Social Sciences, resultando em relação significativa, moderada e inversa (Spearman =-0,638, significância <0,05) entre as duas variáveis do estudo. Portanto, à medida que o estilo parental diminui, aumenta a tendência para manifestar comportamentos agressivos. Com base nos resultados conclui-se que a forma como os pais interagem com os filhos irá desenvolver o seu comportamento. Portanto, em sujeitos cujos pais desenvolveram autonomia, interesse em suas atividades, supervisão comportamental e também utilizam comunicação empática nas regulamentações, haverá menor possibilidade de apresentarem comportamentos agressivos. Pelo contrário, indivíduos com pouca supervisão, falta de atenção dos pais e falta de assertividade dos cuidadores terão maior probabilidade de expressar comportamentos agressivos.

Objective:To study and analyze the status quo and influencing factors of breast cancer patients′ concern about the upbringing of their minor children, and to provide a reference for clinical improvement of the level of breast cancer patients′ concern about parenting.Methods:A total of 247 breast cancer patients in the daytime ward of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital from March to May 2023 were selected by convenience sampling. The General Information Questionnaire, Parenting Concerns Questionnaire, Parenting Sense of Competence Scale were selected for cross-sectional investigation. The multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of breast cancer patients′ worries about the upbringing of their minor children.Results:Finally, 240 valid questionnaires were ultimately collected. There were 12 patients with breast cancer aged 20-29 years old, 76 patients aged 30-39 years old, 117 patients aged 40-49 years old, and 35 patients aged ≥50 years old. The total score of breast cancer patients′anxiety about minor children′s rearing was (37.34 ± 2.56) points. The scores of each dimension were in order of (15.14 ± 1.02) worry about the actual impact on children, (11.15 ± 0.83) worry about the emotional impact on children, and (11.05 ± 0.71) worry about the parents of children. The total score of parenting competence (66.54 ± 11.68) points. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that parenting competence, educational level, number of underage children, per capita monthly income of families, and TNM stage (T: tumor primary lesion; N: regional lymphnode involvement; M: remote metastasis situation) affected parenting anxiety ( t values were -15.24-8.56, all P<0.05), which could explain 81.2% of the total variation in parenting anxiety level. Conclusions:Breast cancer patients′ concern about the upbringing of minor children is at a medium level, so medical staff should give relevant intervention measures to breast cancer patients with different characteristics, in order to provide reference for reducing the level of concern about the upbringing of minor children.

Small for gestational age (SGA) infants are more likely to experience neurocognitive impairments compared to appropriate for gestational age (AGA) infants. This paper reviews recent research on the neurocognitive development of SGA children. SGA can lead to a "brain-sparing effect" due to growth restriction, which may affect cerebral blood flow and brain structure. However, this does not guarantee normal brain development. Restrictive blood flow can result in changes in brain structure, such as reduced total white matter and gray matter volume in various brain regions, including the cerebral cortex, hippocampus and cerebellum, ultimately leading to decreased head circumference. SGA children also exhibit lower scores in all neurocognitive domains, including intelligence, attention, memory, and executive function. This may result in poor academic performance and an increased risk of social, behavioral, and neurological problems, such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, visual and hearing impairments, as well as comorbidities like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD), autism spectrum disorder(ASD), anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. Several risk factors for SGA-related neurocognitive impairments have been identified, including gestational hypertension, abnormal gestational weight, smoking, and catch-up growth. Studies have shown that the best interventions to improve cognitive dysplasia include nutrient supplementation, continued breastfeeding, high-quality education, and appropriate early intervention (responsive parenting) are effective in improving cognitive outcomes for SGA children.

【Objective】 To explore the relationship between parental meta-emotion philosophy and family rearing environment in infants and toddlers, in order to provide guidance for building a positive family rearing environment. 【Methods】 The Parental Meta-Emotion Philosophy Scale was used to measure parents′ social emotions. Family rearing environment of infants was investigated by combining demographic data and Family Rearing Environment Scale. Independent sample t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, Spearman correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression were utilized to analyze the relationship between parental meta-emotion philosophy and the family rearing environment. 【Results】 A total of 370 infant caregivers were included in the study. The average age of infants was (27.81±7.76) months, with 192 boys (51.9%) and 178 girls (48.1%). Parents′ education level (F=4.71), whether they were the only child or not (t=8.85), whether the infant attended nursery or not (t=-2.49), and the per capita monthly income of the family (F=4.77) showed statistical significance in relation to the differences observed among the family rearing environments of infants and toddlers (P<0.05). Multivariate analysis indicated that the emotional teaching dimension of parental meta-emotion philosophy had a positive predictive effect on the overall level of the infant′s family rearing environment (β=0.50, 95%CI: 1.11 - 1.59), while the emotional loss dimension had a negative predictive effect (β=-0.15, 95%CI: -0.85 - -0.07). 【Conclusion】 The parental meta-emotion philosophy is closely related to the family rearing environment and serves as an important factor influencing it. It is supposed to improve parents′ emotional literacy and enrich their knowledge of parental meta-emotion philosophy, so as to help build a positive family rearing environment.

【Objective】 To investigate the current state of infant responsive caregiving and to analyze its correlation with caregiver parenting confidence, in order to provide theoretical basis for improving the level of responsive care for infants and young children. 【Methods】 A cross-sectional survey was conducted from October 2022 to February 2023 to select 1 028 infants and young children under 3 years old who underwent health examinations in the Department of Child Healthcare. Participants completed a general data questionnaire, the Karitane Parenting Confidence Scale, and the Infant Responsive Caregiving Scale. Hierarchical multiple linear regression analysis was used to investigate the related influencing factors of infant responsive care and to analyze the relationship between caregiver parenting confidence and responsive caregiving. 【Results】 The level of responsive caregiving was found to be associated with various factors such as infant age(χ2=21.196), mode of pregnancy(Z=-2.072), history of pregnancy protection during pregnancy(Z=-4.713), history of pregnancy complications (Z=-4.504), gestational week at birth(χ2=41.358), small for term infants(Z=-3.497), neonatal intracranial hemorrhage(Z=-5.425), neonatal hyperbilirubinemia(Z=-2.184), maternal education level(χ2=9.419), family income(χ2=11.211) as well as type of family (χ2=15.360)(P < 0.05). Additionally, a significant correlation was observed between parenting confidence and responsive caregiving(r=0.421,P<0.001). Hierarchical multiple linear regression analysis revealed that caregiver parenting confidence had a significant positive effect on the level of responsive caregiving (B=0.623, P<0.05), even after controlling for the effect of demographic factors. 【Conclusion】 The level of infant responsive caregiving is influenced by caregiver parenting confidence, and increasing caregiver parenting confidence can effectively improve the quality of responsive caregiving for infants and young children.

BackgroundMindful parenting is related to the physical and mental health of adolescents, but only few empirical studies have been conducted on the mindful parenting and none has addressed on the impact and actor-partner effects of mindful parenting on adolescents' aggressive behaviors via parenting stress. ObjectiveTo explore the impact and actor-partner effects of mindful parenting on adolescents' aggressive behaviors via parenting stress, so as to provide references for improvements in family education and interventions on behavioral problems in adolescents. MethodsA sample of 907 subjects (including family members and students) from three classes in each of five grades from grade 5 in elementary school to grade 9 in junior high school in Mianyang, Sichuan Province were selected from September 8 to 15, 2023. Parents were assessed with Mindfulness In Parenting Questionnaire (MIPQ) and Parenting Stress Index-Short Form (PSI-SF), and students were required to fulfill aggressive behavior scale of Youth Self-Report (YSR). Pearson correlation analysis was utilized to examine the correlation among the above scales. The actor-partner interdependence model was used to analyze the impact of mindful parenting on their own and their spouses' parenting stress, as well as the impact on adolescents' aggressive behaviors via parenting stress. ResultsA total of 472 families completed the effective questionnaires. Both father and mother's mindful parenting exhibited an actor effect on adolescents' aggressive behaviors via their own parenting stress, with the effect size of -0.018 (P=0.002) and -0.026 (P=0.012). The partner effect sizes of father's mindful parenting and mother's mindful parenting on adolescents' aggressive behaviors via their spouse's parenting stress were -0.006 (P=0.026) and -0.007 (P=0.012), respectively. ConclusionMindful parenting has been proven to have specific indirect impact on adolescents' aggressive behaviors through their own and their spouse's parenting stress, and the actor effect and partner effect are found both significant. Resumo A escravidão é um evento crítico na formação da sociedade brasileira e, em particular, no modo como a mulher negra foi (e ainda é) a ela integrada. As mulheres negras foram o esteio da formação social brasileira, de modo que, hoje, partem do lugar de quem carrega quatro séculos de escravização. Nesta etnografia, buscamos reconhecer na voz de Carolina, mulher preta, em situação de rua, na Pequena África do Rio de Janeiro, sentidos sobre ser mulher, a maternidade no contexto da situação de rua e suas relações com as políticas públicas. A história de Carolina ajuda a compreender o espaço em que ser mulher ganha sentidos a partir da capacidade reprodutiva e o que forja de negociações para ter possibilidades de maternar. A rua é vivida por ela como espaço de liberdade, mas também de insegurança e precariedade. "Entregar" o filho para o sistema de adoção legal tem sentidos diferentes daqueles construídos por agentes de Estado. Para Carolina, a "entrega" de um filho significa a ruptura com qualquer possibilidade de "tornar-se mulher" e "mãe". É urgente uma agenda de Estado antirracista que paute, na lógica da reparação, a dramática realidade de mulheres em situação de rua e seus descendentes.


Abstract Slavery is a critical event in the establishment of Brazilian society, and in particular, how Black women were (and still are) integrated into it. Black women were the mainstay of Brazilian social formation. So, today, they start from the place of someone who carries four centuries of enslavement. This ethnography seeks to recognize in the voice of Carolina, a Black woman living on the streets in Little Africa in Rio de Janeiro, the meanings of being a woman, motherhood in the context of homelessness, and its relationships with public policies. Carolina's story helps us understand the space in which being a woman acquires meanings from the reproductive capacity and what it forges in negotiations toward mothering possibilities. She experiences the street as a space of freedom but also of insecurity and precariousness. "Handing over" the child to the legal adoption system has different meanings than those constructed by State agents. Carolina believes that "handing over" a child means breaking with any possibility of "becoming a woman" and "mother". There is an urgent need to have an anti-racist State agenda that guides the dramatic reality of women living on the streets and their descendants under the reparatory rationale.

Resumo Este estudo investigou os efeitos de um programa de intervenção para casais na transição para a parentalidade sobre a saúde mental da mulher e a conjugalidade avaliada pelo casal. Um casal com baixa escolaridade foi submetido a uma adaptação para o contexto brasileiro, em modalidade domiciliar, do programa Bases da Família, com avaliação piloto por um delineamento experimental de caso único com medidas repetidas. O Self-Reporting Questionnaire e o Inventário Beck de Depressão avaliaram a saúde mental da mulher, e a Escala de Ajustamento Diádico e observações da comunicação do casal foram as medidas da conjugalidade. Houve aprimoramento da comunicação do pai e aumento da satisfação diádica autorrelatada pela mãe. O programa não foi eficaz para o favorecimento da saúde mental materna. O foco do programa em dimensões individuais e conjugais da transição para a parentalidade beneficia o relacionamento do casal, entretanto, parece não favorecer a saúde mental materna.


Abstract This study investigated the effects of an intervention program for couples during the transition to parenthood on women's mental health and conjugality as assessed by the couple. A couple with low levels of education underwent a Brazilian-adapted version of the Family Foundations program, with a home-based intervention, using pilot evaluation through a single-case experimental design with repeater measures. The Self-Reporting Questionnaire and the Beck Depression Inventory assessed maternal mental health, while the Dyadic Adjustment Scale and observations of couple communication measured couple functioning. There was an improvement in the father's communication and an increase in the mother's self-reported dyadic satisfaction. The program was not effective in promoting maternal mental health. The program's focus on individual and conjugal dimensions of the transition to parenthood benefits the couple's relationship; however, it does not seem to favor maternal mental health.


Resumen Este estudio investigó los efectos de un programa de intervención para parejas en la transición a la parentalidad sobre la salud mental de la mujer y la conyugalidad evaluada por la pareja. Una pareja con bajo nivel educativo fue sometida a una adaptación del programa Family Foundations para el contexto brasileño, con una intervención en el hogar, evaluado mediante un diseño experimental de caso único con medidas repetidas. El Self-Reporting Questionnaire y el Inventario de Depresión de Beck evaluaron la salud mental materna, y la Escala de Ajuste Diádico y observaciones de la comunicación evaluaron la conyugalidad. Hubo una mejora en la comunicación del padre y un aumento en la satisfacción diádica autoinformada por la madre. El programa no fue efectivo para favorecer la salud mental materna. El enfoque del programa en las dimensiones individuales y conyugales de la transición a la parentalidad beneficia la relación de pareja; sin embargo, no parece favorecer la salud mental de la mujer.

Resumo: Sintomas de ansiedade e depressão na infância têm sido amplamente investigados na atualidade. Os estudos apontam que esses sintomas têm natureza multifatorial, sendo os fatores ambientais, como as caraterísticas do funcionamento familiar, alvo de atenção dos pesquisadores. Por isso, este estudo avaliou a correlação e o poder preditivo dos fatores da parentalidade e da coparentalidade em sintomas clínicos de ansiedade e depressão nos filhos. Os participantes, 50 indivíduos que vivem em coabitação com o parceiro e têm pelo menos um filho com idade entre 7 e 11 anos, preencheram um instrumento composto por seis escalas, que avaliaram a parentalidade, a coparentalidade e a sintomatologia na prole. Os resultados indicaram correlações baixas e moderadas entre os fatores da parentalidade e da coparentalidade e os sintomas emocionais e comportamentais dos filhos. O conflito familiar coparental e a supervisão do comportamento foram preditores de 16% dos sintomas de ansiedade generalizada na prole e a triangulação familiar de 17% dos sintomas de depressão. Evidencia-se, como indica a literatura, que os filhos são suscetíveis à qualidade do funcionamento dos subsistemas parental e coparental.


Abstract: Anxiety and depression symptoms in the early childhood have been investigated extensively in current times. Studies have point out that these symptoms have a multifactorial nature, with environment factors, such as the characteristics of the familiar functioning, as the researchers' target. Therefore, this study evaluated the correlation and the predictive power of parenting and co-parenting factors on clinical symptoms of anxiety and depression in the children. The participants, 50 individuals who lived in cohabitation with their partners and that had at least one child aged between 7 and 11 years old, filled in a form composed of six scales; which evaluated the parenting, the coparenting, and the offspring symptomatology. The results revealed low and moderate correlations between the parenting and coparenting variables and the emotional and behavioral symptoms of the children. The coparental familiar conflict and the behavior monitoring were predictors of 16% of the generalized anxiety symptom in the offspring, and the familiar triangulation of 17% of the depression symptoms. It shows, as the literature suggests, that the children are vulnerable to the quality of the functioning of the parental and coparental subsystems.


Resumen: Los síntomas de ansiedad y depresión en la infancia son ampliamente investigados en la actualidad. Los estudios demuestran que los síntomas son multifactoriales, de los cuales los factores ambientales y las características de funcionamiento de la familia están en el centro de la atención de los investigadores. Por lo tanto, este estudio evaluó la correlación y el poder predictivo de los factores de la parentalidad y de la coparentalidad en los síntomas clínicos de ansiedad y depresión en los niños. Los participantes, 50 individuos que conviven con su pareja y tienen al menos un hijo, de entre 7 y 11 años, completaron una herramienta que se compone de seis escalas que evaluaban la crianza, la coparentalidad y la sintomatología en sus hijos. Los resultados indicaron correlaciones bajas y moderadas entre los factores de la parentalidad y de la coparentalidad y los síntomas emocionales y conductuales de los niños. El conflicto familiar coparental y la supervisión del comportamiento fueron predictores del 16% de los síntomas de ansiedad generalizada en la descendencia y la triangulación familiar del 17% de los síntomas de depresión. Esto coincide con la literatura al indicar que los niños son susceptibles a la calidad del funcionamiento de los subsistemas parental y coparental.

Abstract Objectives: to identify the factors and variables that interfere with the maternal perception of security at postpartum. Methods: a cross-sectional study, carried out in three Portuguese hospital units, with a non-probabilistic sample of 352 puerperal women, recruited from the postpartum units on the day of hospital discharge after delivery. Maternal sociodemographic and obstetric characteristics, as well as data on monitored pregnancy, childbirth and infant feeding, were collected through the application of a questionnaire developed by the researchers. For the analysis of maternal perception of security, the instrument "Parents' postnatal sense of security" (PPSS) was used. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. Results: women who lived with their partner (t (349) = - 2.34, p=0.020), were multiparous (t (349) = - 2.26, p=0.025), had pregnancy monitored (t (349) = -3.25, p=0.001), had a positive childbirth experience (F (1, 351) = 7.07, p=0.008) and those who exclusively breastfed during hospitalization (F (2, 351) = 11,43, p<0.001), presented greater perception of security at postpartum. Conclusions: the factors that affect the maternal perception of security at postpartum are cohabitation with a partner, parity, monitored pregnancy, childbirth experience and infant feeding. Defining which factors interfere with maternal security at postpartum may contribute to the construction of intervention programs that promote the maternal perception of security at the time of hospital discharge after delivery.


Resumo Objetivos: identificar os fatores que interferem na percepção de segurança materna no pós-parto. Métodos: estudo transversal, realizado em três unidades hospitalares portuguesas, com uma amostra não probabilística de 352 puérperas recrutadas nos serviços de internamento, no dia da alta hospitalar após o parto. As caraterísticas sociodemográficas e obstétricas maternas, assim como os dados relativos aos cuidados pré-natais, ao parto e ao tipo de aleitamento, foram recolhidos através da aplicação de um questionário desenvolvido pelas investigadoras. Para a análise da percepção de segurança materna foi usado o instrumento "Parents' Postnatal Sense of Security" (PPSS). Foi utilizada estatística descritiva e inferencial para a análise de dados. Resultados: as mulheres que viviam com o companheiro [t (349) = - 2,34, p=0,020], as multíparas (t (349) = - 2,26, p=0,025), as que vigiaram a gravidez [t (349) = -3,25, p=0,001], as que tiveram uma experiência de parto positiva [F (1, 351) = 7,07, p=0,008] e as que amamentaram em exclusivo durante o internamento [F (2, 351) = 11,43, p<0,001], apresentaram maior percepção de segurança no pós-parto. Conclusões: os fatores que interferem na percepção de segurança materna no pós-parto são a coabitação com o companheiro, a paridade, a vigilância da gravidez, a experiência de parto e o tipo de aleitamento. Determinar os fatores que interferem com a segurança materna no pós-parto pode contribuir para a construção de programas de intervenção promotores da percepção de segurança materna no momento da alta hospitalar após o parto.

Resumen La gestación por sustitución (GS) se ha instalado como una vía de acceso a la homoparentalidad masculina y pese a que en Argentina no está reglamentada, se lleva adelante en un escenario "paralegal". Desde hace tiempo, organizaciones LGBT proponen su regulación bajo el argumento de que la GS representa la única opción que tiene una pareja de varones homosexuales de tener un/a hijo/a con lazo genético, aunque sólo con uno de ellos, y reconocer consecutivamente ambos vínculos filiatorios. A través del trabajo etnográfico realizado en el marco de un proyecto de investigación de posgrado, nuestro objetivo es recuperar las experiencias de parejas gays que buscan la legitimidad de los procesos de GS y el acceso igualitario en el sistema de salud. En ello, apuntamos a una reflexión que articula la construcción de políticas públicas en salud y los reclamos de sectores del movimiento LGBT, poniendo el foco en los sentidos de la experiencia colectiva, en los modos en que estos actores organizan sus demandas familiaristas y en las concepciones y prácticas que articulan esos reclamos con la producción de políticas públicas.


Abstract Surrogacy (GS) has been established as a means of access to male homoparenting and, despite not being regulated in Argentina, it is negotiated in a "paralegal" scenario. For some time now, LGBT organizations have proposed regulation based on the argument that GS represents the only option available for a male homosexual couple to have a child with a genetic link, albeit with only one of them, and consecutively acknowledge the family ties of both. By means of ethnographic work carried out within the scope of a postgraduate research project, our objective is to ascertain the experiences of male homosexual couples who seek the legitimacy of GS processes and equal access to the healthcare system. With this in mind, we seek a reflection that articulates the construction of public health policies and the claims of sectors of the LGBT movement, focusing on the meanings of the collective experience, on the ways in which these actors organize their family demands, and on the conceptions and practices that articulate these claims with the production of public policies.

Resumo O ensaio teórico parte de seis reportagens sobre casais homoafetivos e pessoas gays e lésbicas para interseccionar homoparentalidade e adoção de crianças com deficiência, pelas lentes das ciências humanas e sociais em saúde coletiva. As reportagens foram interpretadas à luz dos estudos sobre adoção homoparental e adoção de crianças com deficiência. Abordagens feministas sobre cuidado e deficiência também compuseram o olhar interpretativo, operando como teias expressivas das gramáticas do capacitismo. Verificou-se que as abordagens midiáticas endossam o direito à constituição familiar e à adoção de crianças com deficiência por famílias homoparentais, sem aprofundar criticamente a categoria deficiência e sem destacar apoio à adoção de todos os perfis de adotandos. E que as intersecções entre homofobia e capacitismo incrementam lógicas discriminatórias e de opressão, sendo a união de grupos considerados "indesejáveis" uma estratégia de governamentalidade que revela a complexidade das gramáticas do capacitismo aplicadas aos direitos sexuais e reprodutivos de adotantes LGBTQIA+ e aos direitos fundamentais de crianças e adolescentes com deficiência disponíveis para adoção.


Abstract The present theoretical essay is based on six reports concerning same-sex couples and gay and lesbian people in order to interconnect homoparenting and the adoption of children with disabilities, through the lenses of human and social sciences in public health. The reports were interpreted in light of studies on same-sex adoption and the adoption of children with disabilities. Feminist approaches related to care and disability were also included in the interpretative perspective, operating as expressive webs of grammars of ableism. It was found that media approaches endorse the right to family formation and the adoption of children with disabilities by homoparental families, but with little critical depth on the category of disability and without highlighting support for the adoption of all adoptee profiles. Moreover, the intersections between homophobia and ableism increase discriminatory and oppressive logics, with the union of social groups considered to be "undesirable" representing a strategy of governmentality that reveals the complexity of grammars of ableism, applied to the sexual and reproductive rights of LGBTQIA+ adopters and to the fundamental rights of children and adolescents with disabilities who are available for adoption.

Resumo Este estudo objetiva analisar as experiências de um homem trans durante o período gravídico-puerperal e a perspectiva de enfermeiras obstetras em formação, a partir das dinâmicas e da organização dos cuidados de saúde obstétricos em ambiente hospitalar. Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem qualitativa, baseado em estudo de caso, em que utilizou entrevistas e observações diretas para a coleta das informações. A análise foi feita a partir do marco teórico e normativo do Processo de Enfermagem, da Teoria dos Cuidados e da perspectiva teórico/crítica do transfeminismo. Os resultados estão organizados em seis categorias: Homem trans em contexto de gestação, parto e puerpério; parceria e dimensões parentais; dilemas enfrentados pelo casal grávido; impressões registradas pela profissional de enfermagem; compreensão do caso sob a lente teórica e epistemológica; implicações para os profissionais da saúde. Destaca-se a necessidade de promover espaços de educação permanente junto aos profissionais da saúde e reformular legislações de maneira a viabilizar a elaboração de políticas públicas baseada no respeito à diversidade e cuidado equânime, reconhecendo as especificidades da população trans nos contextos da gestação, parto e puerpério.


Abstract This study aims to analyze the experiences of a transgender man during the gestational-puerperal period and the perspective of obstetric nurses in training based on the dynamics and organization of obstetric healthcare in a hospital setting. This qualitative study is based on a case study approach, employing interviews and direct observations to collect data. The analysis was based on the theoretical and normative framework of the Nursing Process, the Theory of Caring, and the theoretical/critical perspective of transfeminism. The results are organized into six categories: Transgender man in the context of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum; partnership and parental dimensions; dilemmas faced by the pregnant couple; impressions recorded by the nursing professional; understanding of the case through a theoretical and epistemological lens; implications for healthcare professionals. We underscore the need to promote spaces for continuing education among healthcare professionals and to reformulate legislation in a way that enables the development of public policies based on respect for diversity and equitable care, recognizing the transgender population's specificities in the contexts of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.

Resumo Buscou-se compreender os sentidos e significados do exercício parental entre homens trans que engravidaram antes da transição de gênero por meio de uma pesquisa qualitativa, na qual participaram cinco interlocutores, cuja análise foi realizada à luz das teorias sociais de gênero. Os resultados demonstraram uma experiência parental sujeitada a um campo de tensão e negociações, além de uma produção subjetiva que oscilava entre a transgressão e a acomodação da perspectiva cultural da sua própria vivência. Identificou-se práticas de violências que reiteraram as vulnerabilidades sociais, deflagraram as fragilidades dos serviços de saúde e provocaram efeitos deletérios em homens trans que engravidam antes da transição de gênero.


Abstract This qualitative study, with five participating interlocutors, sought to understand the senses and meanings of parenting among trans men who became pregnant before gender transition. Analysis was conducted in light of social theories of gender. The results demonstrated an experience of parenthood subject to a field of tensions and negotiations, as well as subjective production that oscillated between transgression and accommodation of the cultural perspective of their own experience. The forms of violence found to be practiced reiterated social vulnerabilities, exposed healthcare service weaknesses and produced harmful effects on transgender men who become pregnant before gender transition.

Resumo Pessoas sexo-gênero-diversas e que são não-monogâmicas tensionam a cisnormatividade e a mononormatividade. Em termos científicos, há uma nebulosidade quanto aos arranjos parenterais dessas pessoas. Assim, esta etnografia objetiva compreender a percepção de pessoas sexo-gênero-diversas não-monogâmicas sobre parentalidades. O referencial teórico utilizado partiu dos estudos não-monogâmicos, amor e sexualidade das Ciências Sociais e Humanas em Saúde da Saúde Coletiva, e o metodológico da etnografia digital. O trabalho de campo ocorreu entre 2021 e 2022, em um grupo on-line do WhatsApp. A observação participante foi empregada no grupo e foram realizadas entrevistas on-line semiestruturadas. Emergiram duas categorias: a) Os nós das parentalidades não-monogâmicas e b) As parentalidades coletivas. Na primeira, se explora a importância do vínculo nas redes afetivas e expõe as barreiras desses arranjos familiares. Já na segunda, se descreve a importância do viver em comunidade, bem como o resgate à ancestralidade indígena e negra. O resgate à ancestralidade e às formas de se viver em comunidade ganham relevo à medida que se compreende a importância que estes possuem na vivência das parentalidades de pessoas sexo-gênero-diversas e que são não-monogâmicas.


Abstract Sex-gender-diverse and non-monogamous strain cisnormativity and mononormativity. In scientific terms, the parenting arrangements of these people are uncertain. Thus, this ethnography aims to understand the perception of non-monogamous sex-gender-diverse people about parenting. The theoretical framework adopted is derived from non-monogamous studies, love and sexuality from the Social and Human Sciences in Public Health and the digital ethnography methodological framework. Fieldwork occurred from 2021 to 2022 through an online WhatsApp group. Participant observation was employed in the group, and semi-structured online interviews were held. Two categories emerged: a) The non-monogamous parenting nodes and b) Collective parenting. In the first, the importance of bonds in affective networks is explored, and the barriers to these family arrangements are exposed. The second describes the importance of living in a community, and Indigenous and Black ancestry is revived. The revived ancestry and ways of living in a community gain importance as we understand their relevance in the experience of parenting for sex-gender-diverse people who are non-monogamous.

RESUMO. Frente ao número crescente de crianças menores de dois anos expostas às telas, preocupações com o desenvolvimento dos bebês têm emergido e sido foco de discussões acadêmicas e clínicas. Para buscar compreender as razões que levam os pais a disponibilizarem as mídias digitais aos bebês, entrevistas foram conduzidas com mães e pais de crianças com idades entre dez e 17 meses, domiciliados na região metropolitana de Porto Alegre, Brasil. Apesar das orientações das sociedades de pediatria, verifica-se discrepância entre a divulgação deste conteúdo e o acesso a ele. Os pais, por desconhecimento e também por necessidade, disponibilizam diferentes mídias ao bebê, que é percebida em diversas situações como positiva e facilitadora nos cuidados com a criança; os pais alegam que o acesso precoce pelo bebê é importante para aprimorar a destreza cognitiva e capaz de gerar interação familiar. Por outro lado, apresentam preocupações diante do uso de telas em detrimento de outras formas de brincar. Evidencia-se que os pais precisam de orientações e suporte, assim como os profissionais devem considerar as necessidades das famílias ao elaborar diretrizes a fim de orientá-los.


RESUMEN Frente al creciente número de niños menores de dos años expuestos a las pantallas, preocupaciones sobre el desarrollo de los bebés han sido el foco de discusiones académicas y clínicas. Para comprender porque madres y padres exponen a sus hijos a tecnologías digitales se han realizado entrevistas en profundidad con madres y padres de bebés con edades entre 10 y 17 meses, domiciliadas en la región metropolitana de Porto Alegre, Brasil. A pesar de las pautas recomendadas por las sociedades pediátricas sobre al acceso a las pantallas, los padres muestran discrepancia acerca de las mismas. Los progenitores, debido tanto a la falta de conciencia, como a la necesidad comparten sus dispositivos con los bebés. Los padres afirman estar preocupados por el futuro de los niños y perciben el acceso temprano a la tecnología como una herramienta importante para mejorar las habilidades cognitivas y fortalecer los lazos familiares. También señalaron que las potencialidades en el uso para generar interacciones familiares, destacando la supervisión de los padres. Por otro lado, los padres manifiestan preocupación ante el uso de la tecnología a expensas de otras formas de juego. Los progenitores necesitan orientación y apoyo, al igual que los profesionales deben considerar las necesidades de las familias al formular recomendaciones.


ABSTRACT. Considering the large number of children under the age of two that are constantly exposed to digital screens, concerns about child development have been emerging and becoming the focus of academic and clinical discussions. In order to understand the reasons why parents expose their infants to digital technologies, we conducted in-depth interviews with mothers and fathers of infants aged between 10 and 17 months living in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, Brazil. Despite the guidelines of local pediatric societies, our data points to divergences between what is recommended by the board of pediatrics and the patterns of screen exposure documented in our study. Parents, out of unawareness and/or urgent need, introduce their babies to digital technologies. Parents claimed to be concerned with the future of children and perceived early access to digital technology as an important tool to improve cognitive skills and to strength family bonds. Conversely, parents had concerns in face of technology at the expense of other forms of play. Our findings highlight that parents need additional guidance and support, while professionals should weight needs and daily challenges experienced by families when formulating guidelines.

Abstract Introduction The COVID-19 pandemic led countries' governments to rapidly establish lockdowns and social distancing, which altered family routines and the quality of family relationships worldwide. Objectives This exploratory cross-sectional study aimed to identify the impacts of the social distancing and lockdown in parenting practices of caregivers from Brazil, Mexico, and the USA, and to analyze the continuity of parenting intervention support for children and their families at the beginning of the pandemic in these countries. Methods The sample consisted of 704 caregivers of children (286 from Brazil, 225 from Mexico, and 193 from the USA) who answered an online survey about parenting practices before/after quarantine, caregiver/child routines, feelings related to quarantine, changes in everyday life since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, contact with health professionals, and sources of parenting information. Results Data indicate that caregivers from the three countries experienced similar parenting practices during this time, and did not report significant changes before and after the lockdown. They sought information about parenting predominantly via social media. Those receiving previous mental health care perceived the transition from in-person to telehealth services during the pandemic as feasible and acceptable. Conclusion This study will be helpful for clinicians and parents to contextualize their practices amid long-standing effects that the COVID-19 pandemic can have on children and their families during and post-pandemic from multiple cultural backgrounds.

Resumo Em contextos familiares vulnerabilizados por transtornos mentais graves como os transtornos alimentares (TA), os vínculos podem constituir fator de risco ou proteção. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar as representações da estrutura e organização familiar e das dinâmicas vinculares das famílias de origem e constituída, na ótica de pais de jovens com anorexia ou bulimia. Foi utilizado o método clínico-qualitativo, com proposições teóricas da Psicanálise Vincular. O genograma foi aplicado a cinco participantes. Os dados foram submetidos à análise temática. As configurações vinculares que emergiram das formulações discursivas dos pais mostraram famílias de origem numerosas, representação do vínculo com a mãe como acolhedor e com o pai como afetivamente empobrecido. Na família constituída, o relacionamento conjugal se caracterizou por um padrão de complementaridade fusional; com as filhas, a vinculação foi representada como harmônica, o que diverge da literatura. Ser herdeiro de modelos parentais pouco contenedores e com vínculos conflituados pauta o modo como os participantes representam suas vivências de paternidade.


Abstract Family contexts made vulnerable by severe mental disorders, such as eating disorders (ED), may have family bonds as a risk or protection factor. This study aimed to analyze the representations of family structure and organization and the bonding dynamics of background and constituted families from the perspective of parents of young people with anorexia or bulimia. The clinical-qualitative method and theoretical propositions of Linking Psychoanalysis were used. A genogram was applied to five participants. Data were analyzed by thematic analysis. The representations of bonding configurations that emerged from fathers' discursive formulations showed numerous families of origin and bonding with the mother represented as welcoming and with the father as emotionally impoverished. In the constituted family, the marital relationship was characterized by a pattern of fusional complementarity; with the daughters, the bonding was represented as harmonious, which diverges from the literature. Being an heir of parenting models that are not very containing and show conflicting bonds shapes the way participants represent their experiences of parenthood.


Résumé Dans des contextes familiaux fragilisés par des troubles mentaux graves, tels que les troubles des conduites alimentaires (TCA), les liens familiaux peuvent être un facteur de risque ou de protection. Cette étude analyse les représentations de la structure et de l'organisation familiale et la dynamique des liens familiaux, qu'ils soient d'origine et constitués, du point de vue des pères de jeunes souffrant d'anorexie ou de boulimie. On a utilisé la méthode clinique-qualitative et des propositions théoriques de la Psychanalyse des Configurations des Liens, en appliquant le génogramme à cinq participants. Les données ont été soumise à une analyse thématique. Les configurations de liens qui émergent des formulations discursives des pères montrent des familles d'origine nombreuse, une représentation du lien avec la mère comme chaleureux et avec le père comme affectivement appauvri. Dans la famille constituée, la relation conjugale est caractérisée par un schéma de complémentarité fusionnelle; chez les filles, le lien est représenté comme harmonieux, ce qui diffère de la littérature. L'héritage de modèles parentaux peu soutenants et avec des liens conflictuels est un facteur dans la représentation que les pères font de leurs expériences de parentalité.


Resumen Los contextos familiares vulnerados por trastornos mentales graves, como los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria (TCA), pueden tener el vínculo familiar como factor de riesgo o de protección. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar las representaciones de la estructura y organización familiar, y las dinámicas de vinculación de las familias de origen y constituidas desde la perspectiva de los padres de jóvenes con anorexia o bulimia. Se utilizó el método clínico-cualitativo y las proposiciones teóricas del Psicoanálisis Vincular. Se aplicó el genograma a cinco participantes. Los datos pasaron por un análisis temático. Las representaciones de las configuraciones vinculares que surgieron de las formulaciones discursivas de los padres mostraron familias de origen numerosas, vínculo representado como acogedor con la madre y empobrecido emocionalmente con el padre. En la familia constituida, la relación marital se caracterizó por un patrón de complementariedad fusional; con las hijas, el vínculo se representó como harmonioso, divergiendo de la literatura. Ser heredero de modelos parentales poco contenedores y con vínculos conflictivos, orienta cómo los participantes representan sus experiencias de paternidad.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to comprehend men's perception of paternal parenthood while caring for infants to promote child development. Methods: this qualitative study adopts an exploratory approach and was conducted with undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff who are fathers of infants up to 6 months old from a higher education institution, excluding fathers from mononuclear families. Data collection occurred through semi-structured interviews and was analyzed using thematic categorical analysis. Results: fifteen men participated in the study. From the analysis, two empirical categories emerged: "Perception of being a father: challenges and novelties" and "Promotion of child development: actions carried out by fathers". Fathers revealed feeling unprepared, the need for emotional support, and recognized activities aimed at their children's development. Final Considerations: the relevance of the paternal figure for child development is highlighted, as well as the need for public policies to encourage paternal parenthood.


RESUMEN Objetivos: comprender la percepción de los hombres en relación con la paternidad ejercida en el cuidado de los lactantes para promover el desarrollo infantil. Métodos: estudio cualitativo, de enfoque exploratorio, realizado con estudiantes, profesores y personal administrativo que son padres de lactantes de hasta 6 meses de edad de una institución de educación superior, excluyendo a padres de familias mononucleares. La recolección de datos se realizó a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas y se analizó bajo el enfoque del análisis temático categorial. Resultados: participaron en la investigación 15 hombres. A partir del análisis, surgieron dos categorías empíricas: "Percepción sobre ser padre: desafíos y novedades" y "Promoción del desarrollo infantil: acciones realizadas por los padres". Los padres revelaron sentirse poco preparados, la necesidad de apoyo emocional y reconocen las actividades promovidas para el desarrollo de sus hijos. Conclusiones: se destaca la importancia de la figura paterna para el desarrollo infantil y la necesidad de políticas públicas que fomenten la paternidad activa.

A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio de entrevista semiestruturada e foi analisada à luz da análise categorial temática. Resultados: participaram da pesquisa 15 homens. A partir da análise, emergiram duas categorias empíricas: "Percepção sobre ser pai: desafios e novidades" e "Promoção do desenvolvimento infantil: ações realizadas pelos pais". Os pais revelaram sentir-se despreparados, a necessidade de apoio emocional e reconhecem as atividades promovidas para o desenvolvimento de seus filhos. Considerações Finais: destaca-se a relevância da figura paterna para o desenvolvimento infantil e a necessidade de políticas públicas de incentivo à parentalidade paterna.
