Résumé

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus) is an important vegetable crop in the world. Agrobacterium-mediated transgenic technology is an important way to study plant gene functions and improve varieties. In order to further accelerate the transgenic research and breeding process of cucumber, we described the progress and problems of Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transgenic cucumber, from the influencing factors of cucumber regeneration ability, genetic transformation conditions and various additives in the process. We prospected for improving the genetic transformation efficiency and safety selection markers of cucumber, and hoped to provide reference for the research of cucumber resistance breeding and quality improvement.

Résumé

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) plays an important role in the fight against coronavirus diseasef-2019 (COVID-19) epidemic. A total of 241 Chinese patent medicines and 242 prescriptions were recommended by the state and 26 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. A total of 53 varieties of commonly used medicinal materials were selected by analysis, of which 20 were common key varieties in medicinal materials of Chinese patent medicines and prescriptions, including Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Forsythiae Fructus, Pogostemonis Herba, etc. At the same time, some cold-quilt medicines and ethnic medicines also played an important role in the epidemic. By evaluating the supply and regeneration ability of the key varieties of TCM resources under the current COVID-19 epidemic situation, means of the source, regeneration cycle, medicinal parts, new production and market information of 53 kinds of TCM at present, it is suggested that the artificial cultivation of Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma and Paeoniae Radix Rubra can be strengthened, the development of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos, Isatidis Radix and other domestic medicinal materials can be controlled. In response to the change in market demand, the production variety structure and planting area of Chinese medicinal materials were timely adjusted to improve the quality standard and safety index of Chinese medicinal materials, and in order to provide ideas for the rational allocation of TCM resources and the development of Chinese medicinal materials industry under the epidemic situation.

Résumé

Heart failure is the leading cause of death in cardiovascular diseases.Despite effectiveness of current clinical treatment,it is not satisfactory in general,so more effective and optimal therapies are under seeking. All available evidences show that cardiac muscles have limited regenerative capacity in adult mammals, while some vertebrates, such as zebrafish and salamander, can completely recover through perfect regeneration following myocardial injury.In-depth investigation into underlying mechanism may facilitate the development of human heart's potential of scarless healing. In this review paper,we summarized recent progresses in distinct cardiac regenerative capacity and their main influencing factors of several model animals through comparative analysis.

Résumé

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to investigate on the regenerative capacity by using different size of graft materials around bony defect around implant. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Dental implant fixtures(Bio-TIS, Korea) were placed into the tibia of 8 rabbits. After placement of implant, artificial defects were created for each group, and the size of bone graft materials were used according to each designated group. 4 weeks after surgery, 8 rabbits were sacrificed. The histologic and histomorphometrical study were done for comparison of the regenerative capacity using 80-90micrometer and 200~1000micrometer size of grafting materials of OCS-B(R). RESULT: Matured bone formation was significantly increased more in Group E1(80-90micrometer) than in Group E2(200~1000micrometer). Group E1(80-90micrometer) showed more significant augmentation in marginal length of graft material per unit area than Group E2(200~1000micrometer). Group E1(80-90micrometer) showed more interspace in graft material than Group E2(200~1000micrometer). Control group showed no new bone formation around and inside of implanted fixture. CONCLUSION: Small grafting material size has great influence on bone regeneration.

Résumé

The purpose of this study was to evaluate on the biodegradability, biocompatibility and tissue regenerative capacity of synthetic biodegradable membranes-Resolut(R), Guidor(R) and Biomesh(R). To evaluate the cell attachment on the membranes, in vitro, the number of gingival fibroblasts attached to each membrane was counted by hemocytometer. Cytotoxicity test for the membranes was performed by MTT test with gingival fibroblast For evaluation of guided bone regenerative potential, the amount of new bone formation in the rat calvarial defects(5mm in diameter) beneath the membranes was observed for two weeks and examined of the specimens by Massons trichrome staining. Biodegradability was observed for 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks after implantation of each materials under the skin of rats and examined the specimens with H & E staining. The number of cell attachment were the greatest in Biomesh(R) and followed by Resolut(R). Cell viability of three membranes was almost similar levels. Biodegradability of Resolut(R) was the highest among three membrane and the potential of guided bone regeneration was the greatest in the Biomesh(R) and Resolut(R) was followed. These results suggested that commercially available biodegradable membranes were non-toxic and highly potential to guided bone regeneration.
