Résumé

ObjectiveTo investigate the mechanism of Renshentang, recorded in Synopsis of Golden Chamber, in the treatment of atherosclerosis (AS) based on the autophagic effect of transient receptor potential vanilloid subtype 1 (TRPV1) on arterial smooth muscle. MethodFourteen SPF-grade 8-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were assigned to the normal group and 70 8-week-old apolipoprotein E knockout (ApoE-/-) mice were assigned to the experimental group. The AS model was induced by a high-fat diet in the mice in the experimental group for eight weeks. The model mice were then randomly divided into model group, low-, medium-, and high-dose Renshentang groups (2.715, 5.43, and 10.68 g·kg-1·d-1), and simvastatin group (0.02 g·kg-1·d-1). Drug treatment lasted eight weeks. Serum was taken and serum total cholesterol (CHO), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels were measured by assay kits to observe the changes in lipid levels in mice. The aorta was stained with hematoxylin-eosin (HE) to observe the overall pathology of the aortic root and oil red O staining was used to detect the lipid deposition in the aortic plaque and calculate the percentage of the aortic root area to the lumen area. The protein expression of TRPV1, adenylate-activated protein kinase (AMPK), phosphorylated AMPK (p-AMPK), autophagy effector-1 (Beclin-1), and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3Ⅱ) in mouse aortic tissues was determined by Western blot. ResultCompared with the normal group, the model group showed increased serum CHO, TG, and LDL-C levels, decreased HDL-C, and increased aortic root plaque area (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, the Renshentang groups showed decreased levels of CHO, TG, and LDL-C in serum (P<0.05, P<0.01), especially in the low- and medium-dose Renshentang groups (P<0.01). Compared with the normal group, the simvastatin group and the Renshentang groups showed reduced aortic root plaque area (P<0.05), especially in the high-dose Renshentang group (P<0.01). Compared with the normal group, the model group showed decreased relative expression levels of TRPV1, p-AMPK/AMPK, Beclin-1, and LC3Ⅱ/LC3Ⅰ(P<0.05, P<0.01). Compared with the model group, the medium- and high-dose Renshentang groups showed increased relative expression levels of TRPV1, p-AMPK/AMPK, Beclin-1, and LC3Ⅱ/LC3Ⅰ(P<0.05,P<0.01). ConclusionThe anti-AS effect of Renshentang recorded in Synopsis of Golden Chamber may be achieved by up-regulating TRPV1 expression to restore the level of autophagy mediated by AMPK.

Résumé

[Objective]To explore the application of the pathogenesis of"weak yang and stringy yin"in the treatment of atherosclerosis. [Methods] Analyze the symptoms and prescriptions of atherosclerosis in the Synopsis of the Golden Chamber, and refer to the literatures on the prescriptions. To describe the concept of atherosclerosis from the "virtual" and "real" two aspects of the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis; access to the literature on the anti-cut Guibao White Liquor Soup, Gualou Xiebai Pinellia Decoction, Guizhi Tang, Guizhi Decoction, Ginseng Decoction, Jizhi Amethyst Decoction, Aconitum Red Stone Pills, Rhubarb Pills and Dazhuai Decoction, and other classic prescriptions of the Golden Chamber. [Results] Although there was no disease of atherosclerosis in Chinese medicine, there were many descriptions of its symptoms and etiology and pathogenesis. "The virtual", "standard" were its main pathogenesis,"Golden Chamber"in the proposed"weak yang and stringy yin" theory, and created a large number of prescriptions, such as Gualou Xiebai white liquor soup, Gualou Xiebai Pinellia Soup, Citrus aurantium Decoction Guizhi Decoction, Guizhi Decoction, Ginseng Decoction, Jizhi Feizhi Decoction, Aconitum Red Stone Pills, Rhubarb Pills and Da Chai Hu Tang. According to the literature, "Golden Chamber" in these prescriptions can be used to treat atherosclerosis. [Conclusion] The general theory of the pathogenesis of"chest palsy"and"weak yang and stringy yin"in the Synopsis of the Golden Chamber is the same as the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. According to this pathogenesis Zhongjing created a large number of prescriptions, modern pharmacological studies have shown that they can treat atherosclerosis. Therefore, we can extend "weak yang and stringy yin" of the pathogenesis theory to the treatment of atherosclerosis. This treatment is worthy of our further exploration, for the present use, to be effective.

Résumé

Purpose]Research on otolaryngology disease properties and the classical prescription method, explore the mechanism and the application of the treatment of otolaryngology disease. [Methods]Selection of swel ing ear, ear vertigo, slowly closing pus ent common diseases such as ear, combined with the Treatise on Febrile Disease and Synopsis provisions, analysis of the disease by syndrome differentiation thinking, expound the classical prescription principles and the range for the treatment of the disease. [Results]Treating most otolaryngology disease can use the classical prescription, the curative effect of treatment of otolaryngology disease has obvious advantages. [Conclusion]It has been verified by classical prescription and clinical use, efficacy, and the system of subtlety, ingredients to streamline, familiar with the classical prescription treatment of otolaryngology disease, wil improve the level of physician treatment based on syndrome differentiation and patients to reduce the economic burden, has broad prospects.

Résumé

This article explores the therapy mechanism and principle of Ze Qi Decoction syndrome in Diseases,Synopsis of Golden Chamber. The position, pathogenesis and diseases about Ze Qi Decoction syndrome are revealed. The feasibility of Ze Qi Decoction in treating lung cancer is proposed by clinical experience and experimental results. The four principles of Ze Qi Decoction(removing water retention and improving yang, dispersing phlegm and eliminating stagnation, invigorating the spleen and strengthening body resistance, clearing stagnated heat)can be summarized as cold and heat in combination, reinforcement and elimination in combination. The main clinical application of Ze Qi Decoction is to treat lung cancer, metastastic tumor of lung and so on.The treatment methods focus on regulating the activities of qi in the organs. The spleen is the foundation of acquired constitution;the treatmeng principal should be based on the spleen.Herba Euphoribiae Helioscopiae should be decocted first to remove the toxicity to protect the stomach.

Résumé

In this article, the professor LI respectively discuss the using of the ten merthods of tocolysis by eliminating disease in Synopsis of Golden Chamber from aspects of his own practical experience, original text and practical applications. The ten methods are: tonifying and harmonizing both yin and yang and keepping ying and weiqi in balance, eliminating blood stasis and dissolving abdominal mass and regulating qi and blood, warming yang and dispersing cold and warming uterus for tocolysis, moisturizing dryness by nourishing blood and clearing heat and relieving qi stagnation, inducing resuscitation and diuresis, excreting dampness and activating yang, tonifying blood and invigorating the spleen, clearing and dissipating dampness and heat, invigorating the spleen for eliminating dampness, warmming the middle warmer for tocolysis.
