Objective:To delve into the understanding and experience of empty nesters regarding internet plus medical services, identifying factors that may influence their willingness to adopt such services. The goal is to promote the effective application among empty nesters. Methods:From March to May 2023, a qualitative descriptive research method was employed. The 13 subjects were selected from the Southwest Hospital of AMU, Geleshan Community Health Service Center, Shandong Road Community Health Service Station and Yuzhou Road Community Health Service Center, all of them were empty nesters who were hospitalized and examined. The study was grounded in the technology acceptance model and utilized content analysis to thoroughly examine the interview data. Results:Among the 13 empty nesters, 6 males and 7 females, aged 60 to 85 years old. A total of 4 themes were extracted: perceived usefulness, perceived eased of use, willingness to adopt, and need to use. Conclusions:Empty nesters have the demand and willingness to use internet plus medical services, but they are limited by technical difficulties and perceived risks, so it is suggested that relevant institutions should make targeted adjustments.

Purpose/Significance To identify the influencing factors of users'willingness to use knowledge service of hospital library.Method/Process Based on the technology acceptance model, the theory of expectation confirmation model and perceived risk theory, the model and hypothesis of users'willingness to continue using knowledge service of hospital library are established.A questionnaire is de-signed and made, which is distributed to the staffs of Affiliated Tongji Hospital of Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology by random sampling method. The structural equation model is used to validate and analyze the conceptual model.Result/Conclusion The findings show that expectation confirmation, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use,and perceived interac-tivity all have positive effects on satisfaction.Of these, perceived usefulness is the most significant factor. Therefore, the key to ensure that users continue to use the library knowledge service is to enhance the usefulness of the service.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: With the advances in technologies, self-service kiosks at foodservice operations are becoming a new way of service provision. This study examined the relationships among the menu information quality, nutrition information quality, technology acceptance characteristics, and customer behavioral intention toward the kiosks in fast food restaurants.SUBJECTS/METHODS: A survey with a self-administered method was distributed online and offline. The sample consisted of customers who had used the kiosks at fast food restaurants in the last six months prior to the survey. The study hypotheses were tested by applying structural equation modeling.RESULTS: Structural equation modeling revealed the positive impacts of menu information quality and nutrition information quality, technology acceptance characteristics, and behavioral intention toward kiosks at fast food restaurants. On the other hand, one hypothesis (Hypothesis 4) on the impact of nutrition information quality on the perceived usefulness was rejected.CONCLUSION: The study is the first to investigate nutrition and menu information at foodservice kiosks and relate them to technology acceptance. The study is very timely and adequate in the time of the 4th industrial revolution. The critical importance of the presentation of nutrition information and menu information at the kiosks at fast food restaurants was verified. The academic and industrial implications of the study findings were discussed.

Objective To explore the current status of the application of health portals in the field of public health, and analyze the factors affecting users' adoption of health portals, so as to provide a theoretical basis for promoting the use of health portals and promoting health management. Methods Referring to domestic and foreign literature, integrating the technology acceptance model and the dual motivation factor theory, a comprehensive analysis framework was built, and the influencing factors of whether various groups of people adopt health portals were analyzed from multiple dimensions. Results The current status of health portal applications around special groups and specific purposes was analyzed. A comprehensive analysis dimension was constructed with perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use as the basic framework, service quality, social norms and users themselves as specific indicators, and positive and negative impacts as specific directions. Conclusion From the perspective of service, society and individuals, analyzing the positive and negative factors that affect users’ adoption of health portals, it is necessary to strengthen the use of health portals by special groups such as the elderly, to further improve disease prevention and control, deepen public health services, and promote the development of healthy China.

OBJECTIVES: We assessed the public acceptance of a health information exchange (HIE) and examined factors that influenced the acceptance and associations among constructs of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). METHODS: We collected data from a survey of 1,000 individuals in Korea, which was administered through a structured questionnaire. We assessed the validity and reliability of the survey instrument with exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha coefficients. We computed descriptive statistics to assess the acceptance and performed regression analyses with a structural equation model to estimate the magnitude and significance of influences among constructs of TAM. RESULTS: Eighty-seven percent of the respondents were willing to use the technology, and the average level of agreement with the need for the technology was 4.16 on a 5-point Likert scale. The perception of ease of use of the technology significantly influenced perceptions of usefulness and attitudes about the need for HIE. Perceptions of usefulness influenced attitude and behavioral intention to use HIE, and attitude influenced intention. Age showed a wide range of influences throughout the model, and experience with offline-based information exchange and health status also showed noteworthy influences. CONCLUSIONS: The public acceptance of HIE was high, and influences posited by TAM were mostly confirmed by the study results. The study findings indicated a need for an education and communication strategy tailored by population age, health status, and prior experience with offline-based exchange to gain public buy-in for a successful introduction of the technology.

With the increasing use of the internet and the spread of smartphones, health information seekers obtain considerable information through the internet. As the amount of online health information increases, the need for quality management of health information has been emphasized. The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the intention of using accredited online health information by applying the extended technology acceptance model (Extended-TAM). An online survey was conducted from September 15, 2016 to October 3, 2016, on 500 men and women aged 19–69 years. The results showed that the greatest factor influencing the acceptance of the accredited health information was perceived usefulness, and the expectation for the quality of the accreditation system was the most important mediator variable. In order to establish the health information accreditation system as a means to provide easy and useful information to the consumers, it is necessary to carry out quality management and promote the system through the continuous monitoring of the accreditation system.
