Objective To investigate the effects of long noncoding RNA(lncRNA)-NRON on apoptosis following myocardial infarc-tion(MI)in mice. Methods The C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into four groups:sham operation(Sham)group,MI group,MI combined with lncRNA-NRON interference lentivirus(MI+shNRON)group, and MI combined with the negative control(NC)lentivirus(MI+NC)group. The expression of lncRNA-NRON was detected using real-time PCR.In addition, the pathology of the myocardial tissue injury was analyzed using HE staining, the myocardial infarction size was examined using TTC staining, and the extent of apoptosis was assessed using the TUNEL assay, respectively. The RPISeq database was used to predict the probability of interaction between lncR-NA-NRON and the voltage-dependent anionic channel protein(VDAC).The effect of lncRNA-NRON on the expression of VDAC protein was detected using Western blotting. Results The lncRNA-NRON expression was significantly increased in the MI group, and the tar-geted knockdown of lncRNA-NRON resulted in alleviation of the pathological myocardial tissue injury, reduction in the myocardial infarc-tion area, and inhibition of apoptosis. The probability of interaction between lncRNA-NRON and VDAC reached 0.9,indicating a high probability of their association.Additionally,lncRNA-NRON could regulate the protein expression of VDAC.Conclusion Knockdown of lncRNA-NRON could reduce the occurrence of myocardial injury following myocardial infarction. This effect may be attributable to a spe-cific mechanism wherein lncRNA-NRON affects the process of apoptosis by binding to VDAC,consequently suppressing its expression.

RÉSUMÉ

External physicochemical factors and emotional changes often lead to intermittent facial flushing in patients with rosacea, accompanied by burning, stinging, and itching sensations. Many studies have demonstrated that neurovascular dysfunction and neurogenic inflammation induced by neuropeptides released following the activation of ion channels were associated with the occurrence of rosacea. This review summarizes research progress on the role of ion channels in the pathogenesis of rosacea and provides evidence for further research on ion channels as potential therapeutic targets for rosacea.

RÉSUMÉ

Objective:Trigeminal neuralgia(TN)is a common neuropathic pain.Voltage-gated potassium channel(Kv)has been confirmed to be involved in the occurrence and development of TN,but the specific mechanism is still unclear.MicroRNA may be involved in neuropathic pain by regulating the expression of Kv channels and neuronal excitability in trigeminal ganglion(TG).This study aims to explore the relationship between Kv1.1 and miR-21-5p in TG with a TN model, evaluate whether miR-21-5p has a regulatory effect on Kv1.1,and to provide a new target and experimental basis for the treatment of TN. Methods:A total of 48 SD rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:1)a sham group(n= 12),the rats were only sutured at the surgical incision without nerve ligation;2)a sham+ agomir NC group(n=6),the sham rats were microinjected with agomir NC through stereotactic brain injection in the surgical side of TG;3)a sham+miR-21-5p agomir group(n=6),the sham rats were microinjected with miR-21-5p agomir via stereotactic brain injection in the surgical side of TG;4)a TN group(n=12),a TN rat model was constructed using the chronic constriction injury of the distal infraorbital nerve(dIoN-CCI)method with chromium intestinal thread;5)a TN+antagonist NC group(n=6),TN rats were microinjected with antagonist NC through stereotactic brain injection method in the surgical side of TG;6)a TN+miR-21-5p antagonist group(n=6),TN rats were microinjected with miR-21-5p antagonist through stereotactic brain injection in the surgical side of TG.The change of mechanical pain threshold in rats of each group after surgery was detected. The expressions of Kv1.1 and miR-21-5p in the operative TG of rats were detected by Western blotting and real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction.Dual luciferase reporter genes were used to determine whether there was a target relationship between Kv1.1 and miR-21-5p and whether miR-21-5p directly affected the 3'-UTR terminal of KCNA1.The effect of brain stereotaxic injection was evaluated by immunofluorescence assay, and then the analogue of miR-21-5p(agomir)and agomir NC were injected into the TG of rats in the sham group by brain stereotaxic apparatus to overexpress miR-21-5p.The miR-21-5p inhibitor(antagomir)and antagomir NC were injected into TG of rats in the TN group to inhibit the expression of miR-21-5p.The behavioral changes of rats before and after administration were observed, and the expression changes of miR-21-5p and Kv1.1 in TG of rats after intervention were detected. Results:Compared with the baseline pain threshold, the facial mechanical pain threshold of rats in the TN group was significantly decreased from the 5th to 15th day after the surgery(P<0.05),and the facial mechanical pain threshold of rats in the sham group was stable at the normal level, which proved that the dIoN-CCI model was successfully constructed.Compared with the sham group, the expression of Kv1.1 mRNA and protein in TG of the TN group was down-regulated(both P<0.05),and the expression of miR-21-5p was up-regulated(P<0.05).The results of dual luciferase report showed that the luciferase activity of rno-miR-21-5p mimics and KCNA1 WT transfected with 6 nmol/L or 20 nmol/L were significantly decreased compared with those transfected with mimic NC and wild-type KCNA1 WT,respectively(P<0.001).Compared with low dose rno-miR-21-5p mimics(6 nmol/L)co-transfection group, the relative activity of luciferase in the high dose rno-miR-21-5p mimics(20 nmol/L)cotransfection group was significantly decreased(P<0.001).The results of immunofluorescence showed that drugs were accurately injected into TG through stereotaxic brain. After the expression of miR-21-5p in the TN group, the mechanical pain threshold and the expression of Kv1.1 mRNA and protein in TG were increased. After overexpression of miR-21-5p in the sham group, the mechanical pain threshold and the expression of Kv1.1 mRNA and protein in TG were decreased. Conclusion:Both Kv1.1 and miR-21-5p are involved in TN and miR-21-5p can regulate Kv1.1 expression by binding to the 3'-UTR of KCNA1.

RÉSUMÉ

Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent cell death caused by phospholipid peroxidation damage of polyunsaturated fatty acids on cell membranes and involves several pathways, including the iron homeostasis regulatory pathway, the cystine glutamate reverse transporter (system Xc) pathway and the voltage-dependent anion channel (VDAC) pathway. Ferroptosis is involved in the development of several diseases (e. g. myocardial infarction, stroke, cancer and degenerative diseases). The ubiquitination is an important post-translational modification of various protein molecules in the organism. Studies have shown that regulating the ubiquitination of ferroptosis pathway-related molecules can control cellular ferroptosis. Targeting the ubiquitination of ferroptosis pathway-related molecules can effectively promote or inhibit ferroptosis, which is expected to be a new strategy for the treatment of cancer or cardiovascular diseases. In this paper we review the progress of the ferroptosis pathways and the ubiquitination modification of ferroptosis-related molecules.

Objective:To investigate the effects and mechanism of exosome (EXO)-loaded kringle V11 (KV11) delivery on corneal neovascularization (CNV).Methods:KV11 was bound to the surface of endothelial cell-derived exosomes by using CP05, an EXO-targeting anchoring peptide, to produce EXO-KV11.The binding efficiency and optimal concentration ratio were determined using the Apogee flow system.A total of 100 8-week-old healthy male SPF grade SD rats were selected, 10 of which were randomly selected as a normal control group without any treatment. The CNV model was established by alkali burn in the other 90 rats, which were randomly divided into three groups, EXO-KV11 group, KV11 group, and normal saline group by the random number table method, with 30 rats in each group. Each group was injected subconjunctivally with 100 μl of EXO-KV11 (25 μg), KV11 (25 μg), or normal saline every other day from the first day after the alkali burn, respectively. The CNV of rats was observed on days 1, 4, 7, and 14 after alkali burn. The CNV area was calculated by ventricular perfusion with fluorescein isothiocyanate-dextran (FITC-dextran) and corneal angiography. The amount of CNV lumen was observed by hematoxylin and eosin staining. The distribution of CD31 in rat corneas was determined by immunohistochemical method. The expression levels of voltage-dependent anion channel 1(VDAC1), endoplasmic reticulum stress, autophagy and apoptosis-associated proteins were detected by Western blot. This study was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Peking University People's Hospital (No.20210019). All animal procedures complied with the regulations of the Vision and Ophthalmology Association and the Animal Protection and Use Committee of Peking University. Results:The optimal concentration ratio of KV11 to EXO was 4∶1 and the binding affinity reached up to 87.5% by Apogee flow cytometers. On days 7 and 14 after alkali burn, there were significant differences in CNV area among the four groups ( F=4.613, 15.590; both at P<0.05). On day 7 after alkali burn, the CNV area was smaller in EXO-KV11 group than in KV11 and normal saline groups, with statistically significant differences (both at P<0.05). On day 14 after alkali burn, the CNV area was smaller in EXO-KV11 and KV11 groups than in normal saline group, and smaller in EXO-KV11 group than in KV11 group, showing statistically significant differences (all at P<0.05). The results of quantitative analysis of corneal fluorescence mounts showed that the relative CNV fluorescence area of the normal saline group, KV11 group and EXO-KV11 group were (8.3±1.7)%, (5.2±1.6)%and (3.4±0.7)%, respectively, showing a statistically significant overall comparison difference ( F=11.735, P<0.01). The relative CNV fluorescence area was larger in KV11 and normal saline groups than in EXO-KV11 group, and larger in normal saline group than in KV11 group, showing statistically significant differences (all at P<0.05). On day 14 after alkali burn, massive neovascular lumens were observed in the matrix of the normal saline group. The number of neovascular lumens in KV11 group was smaller than that in normal saline group. The corneal structure appeared normal in EXO-KV11 group, and neovascular lumens were rare.Numerous CD31-positive cells were observed in the corneal stroma of the normal saline group, which formed into lumen structures. The number of lumens surrounded by CD31-positive cells in the corneal stroma was smaller in KV11 group than in normal saline group, and smaller in EXO-KV11 group than in KV11 group. There were significant differences in the relative expression levels of VDAC1, protein kinase R-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase (PERK), p62, cleaved caspase 3 among the four groups ( F=35.960, 8.947, 17.791, 101.168; all at P<0.01). The relative expression levels of VDAC1, PERK, p62, cleaved caspase 3 were higher in EXO-KV11 group than in KV11 and normal saline groups, showing statistically significant differences (all at P<0.001). There was no significant difference in the relative expression of microtubule-associated proteins 1A/1B light chain 3B (LC3B)Ⅱ/LC3BⅠ protein among all four groups ( F=0.445, P=0.727). Conclusions:EXO-KV11 can inhibit CNV more remarkably than KV11.EXO-KV11 inhibits CNV by promoting the expression of VDAC1 and PERK and suppressing the autophagic flux.

Objective:To investigate the relation between rs2298771 genotype in voltage-gated sodium channels 1A ( SCN1A) polymorphism and antiepileptic drug (AED) response in children with epilepsy. Methods:Sixty-two children with epilepsy admitted to Department of Neurology, Zhangjiakou First Hospital from June 2022 to December 2023 were divided into AED response group and AED resistance group ( n=31) according to their response to AED. In addition, 31 children with pharyngitis or mild gastroenteritis admitted to Department of Pediatrics at the same period were selected as control group. Real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to analyze the rs2298771 genotype in SCN1A polymorphism, and differences in rs2298771 genotype and allele in SCN1A polymorphism were compared among the 3 groups. Relation between rs2298771 genotype in SCN1A polymorphism and AED response was analyzed. Multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors for AED response in children with epilepsy. Results:(1) Significant differences in type of first seizure and AEDs were noted between AED response group and AED resistance group ( P<0.05); compared with the AED resistance group, the AED response group had significantly lower seizure frequency, significantly longer duration after last seizure, and statistically higher proportions of children with normal EEG or with one kind of AED ( P?0.05). (2) Compared with the control group and AED response group, the AED resistance group had significantly higher rs2298771 GC genotype and G allele, and statistically lower rs2298771 AA genotype and A allele in SCN1A polymorphism ( P?0.05). (3) In the AED response group, rs2298771 AA and AG genotype in SCN1A polymorphism were positively correlated with levetiracetam ( P?0.05); in AED resistance group, rs2298771 AG genotype in SCN1A polymorphism was positively correlated with topiramate and valproic acid ( P<0.05). RÉSUMÉ

@#Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) has been widely used in various fields of dentistry. The diagnosis of root fractures, especially vertical root fractures (VRFs) with CBCT images, has been a research hotspot since then. Research on this area mainly includes the following five aspects: ① the diagnostic efficiency of CBCT images for root fractures; ② the influence of scanning parameters on the diagnostic accuracy of CBCT images in root fractures, such as scanning field of view, spatial resolution, tube current and tube voltage; ③ whether the application of image postprocessing techniques, especially metal artifact reduction (MAR), can improve the diagnostic accuracy of root fractures after root canal treatment and/or there is a post core in the root canal; ④ establishment and validation of clinical diagnosis model for vertical root fracture; and ⑤ application of artificial intelligence technology and contrast agent in root canals for the diagnosis of CBCT image in root fractures. Compared with periapical radiographs, CBCT images can improve the diagnostic accuracy of root fractures in nonendodontic treated teeth; however, for teeth that have undergone endodontic treatment, the diagnosis of VRF must be combined with clinical signs. Vertical bone resorption in the buccolingual (palatal) direction is a characteristic indicator of VRF. The width of the VRF is an important factor affecting the diagnostic accuracy, but the voxel size used in CBCT scanning is not a necessary factor affecting its diagnostic accuracy; the fracture direction does not affect the diagnostic accuracy of the VRF. Image postprocessing techniques, especially MAR, cannot improve the diagnostic accuracy of VRF and may also reduce the diagnostic efficiency, so they are not recommended for clinical application.

This study aimed to investigate the underlying mechanism of Zhenwu Decoction in the treatment of heart failure by regulating electrical remodeling through the transient outward potassium current(I_(to))/voltage-gated potassium(Kv) channels. Five normal SD rats were intragastrically administered with Zhenwu Decoction granules to prepare drug-containing serum, and another seven normal SD rats received an equal amount of distilled water to prepare blank serum. H9c2 cardiomyocytes underwent conventional passage and were treated with angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ) for 24 h. Subsequently, 2%, 4%, and 8% drug-containing serum, simvastatin(SIM), and BaCl_2 were used to interfere in H9c2 cardiomyocytes for 24 h. The cells were divided into a control group [N, 10% blank serum + 90% high-glucose DMEM(DMEM-H)], a model group(M, AngⅡ + 10% blank serum + 90% DMEM-H), a low-dose Zhenwu Decoction-containing serum group(Z1, AngⅡ + 2% drug-containing serum of Zhenwu Decoction + 8% blank serum + 90% DMEM-H), a medium-dose Zhenwu Decoction-containing serum group(Z2, AngⅡ + 4% drug-containing serum of Zhenwu Decoc-tion + 6% blank serum + 90% DMEM-H), a high-dose Zhenwu Decoction-containing serum group(Z3, AngⅡ + 8% drug-containing serum of Zhenwu Decoction + 2% blank serum + 90% DMEM-H), an inducer group(YD, AngⅡ + SIM + 10% blank serum + 90% DMEM-H), and an inhibitor group(YZ, AngⅡ + BaCl_2 + 10% blank serum + 90% DMEM-H). The content of ANP in cell extracts of each group was detected by ELISA. The relative mRNA expression levels of ANP, Kv1.4, Kv4.2, Kv4.3, DPP6, and KChIP2 were detected by real-time quantitative PCR. The protein expression of Kv1.4, Kv4.2, Kv4.3, DPP6, and KChIP2 was detected by Western blot. I_(to) was detected by the whole cell patch-clamp technique. The results showed that Zhenwu Decoction at low, medium, and high doses could effectively reduce the surface area of cardiomyocytes. Compared with the M group, the Z1, Z2, Z3, and YD groups showed decreased ANP content and mRNA level, increased protein and mRNA expression of Kv4.2, Kv4.3, DPP6, and KChIP2, and decreased protein and mRNA expression of Kv1.4, and the aforementioned changes were the most notable in the Z3 group. Compared with the N group, the Z1, Z2, and Z3 groups showed significantly increased peak current and current density of I_(to). The results indicate that Zhenwu Decoction can regulate myocardial remodeling and electrical remodeling by improving the expression trend of Kv1.4, Kv4.2, Kv4.3, KChIP2, and DPP6 proteins and inducing I_(to) to regulate Kv channels, which may be one of the mechanisms of Zhenwu Decoction in treating heart failure and related arrhythmias.

Background The converter stations of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines generate special total electric fields. At present, few investigations have been conducted on total electric fields in the workplace of converter stations from an perspective of occupational health. Objective To understand the current situation of total electric field strength in the workplace of converter stations. Methods Using purposive sampling, a calibrated HDEM-1 direct current (DC) total electric field strength measurement system was used to measure the total electric fields of 12 converter stations serving 6 DC lines in Southeast and Southwest China according to the Measurement method for total electric field strength and ion current density of the converter stations and DC transmission lines (DL/T 1089—2008). The results were evaluated according to occupational exposure limits recommended by The limits of electromagnetic environment at ±800 kV UHV DC converter station (DL/T 275—2012), the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH), and the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). Results A total of 615 check points were planned, the total electric field strength was 0.05-37.05 kV·m−1, and the median was 10.45 kV·m−1. The total electric field strength of 39 check points (6.3%) exceeded 25 kV·m−1 (the limits of ACGIH and ICNIRP), and the total electric field strength of 12 check points (2.0%) exceeded 30 kV·m−1 (the limit of DL/T 275—2012). There were statistically significant differences in the total electric field strength values and the proportions of exceeding 25 kV·m−1 between the neutral regions and the positive regions and between the neutral regions and the negative regions (P < 0.01). The proportion of total electric field strength exceeding 30 kV·m−1 in the negative regions was higher than that in the positive regions (P < 0.01). There were no significant differences in the total electric field strength of converter stations at different voltage levels and different altitudes (P > 0.05). There were no significant differences in the proportions of total electric field exceeding 25 kV·m−1 and exceeding 30 kV·m−1 in converter stations at different voltage levels and different altitudes (P > 0.05). Conclusion The total electric field in some workplace of converter stations exceeds selected limits. Converter station operators may be exposed to high-strength total electric field for a short time.

RÉSUMÉ

Hv1 is the only voltage-gated proton-selective channel in mammalian cells. It contains a conserved voltage-sensor domain, shared by a large class of voltage-gated ion channels, but lacks a pore domain. Its primary role is to extrude protons from the cytoplasm upon pH reduction and membrane depolarization. The best-known function of Hv1 is the regulation of cytosolic pH and the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase-dependent production of reactive oxygen species. Accumulating evidence indicates that Hv1 is expressed in nervous systems, in addition to immune cells and others. Here, we summarize the molecular properties, distribution, and physiological functions of Hv1 in the peripheral and central nervous systems. We describe the recently discovered functions of Hv1 in various neurological diseases, including brain or spinal cord injury, ischemic stroke, demyelinating diseases, and pain. We also summarize the current advances in the discovery and application of Hv1-targeted small molecules in neurological diseases. Finally, we discuss the current limitations of our understanding of Hv1 and suggest future research directions.

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the variations in the expression of voltage-gated sodium (Nav) channel subunits during development of rat cerebellar Purkinje neurons and their correlation with maturation of electrophysiological characteristics of the neurons.@*METHODS@#We observed the changes in the expression levels of NaV1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.6 during the development of Purkinje neurons using immunohistochemistry in neonatal (5-7 days after birth), juvenile (12-14 days), adolescent (21-24 days), and adult (42-60 days) SD rats. Using whole-cell patch-clamp technique, we recorded the spontaneous electrical activity of the neurons in ex vivo brain slices of rats of different ages to analyze the changes of electrophysiological characteristics of these neurons during development.@*RESULTS@#The expression of NaV subunits in rat cerebellar Purkinje neurons showed significant variations during development. NaV1.1 subunit was highly expressed throughout the developmental stages and increased progressively with age (P < 0.05). NaV1.2 expression was not detected in the neurons in any of the developmental stages (P > 0.05). The expression level of NaV1.3 decreased with development and became undetectable after adolescence (P < 0.05). NaV1.6 expression was not detected during infancy, but increased with further development (P < 0.05). NaV1.1 and NaV1.3 were mainly expressed in the early stages of development. With the maturation of the rats, NaV1.3 expression disappeared and NaV1.6 expression increased in the neurons. NaV1.1 and NaV1.6 were mainly expressed after adolescence. The total NaV protein level increased gradually with development (P < 0.05) and tended to stabilize after adolescence. The spontaneous frequency and excitability of the Purkinje neurons increased gradually with development and reached the mature levels in adolescence. The developmental expression of NaV subunits was positively correlated with discharge frequency (r=0.9942, P < 0.05) and negatively correlated with the excitatory threshold of the neurons (r=0.9891, P < 0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#The changes in the expression levels of NaV subunits are correlated with the maturation of high frequency electrophysiological properties of the neurons, suggesting thatmature NaV subunit expressions is the basis of maturation of electrophysiological characteristics of the neurons.

RÉSUMÉ

Weightlessness in the space environment affects astronauts' learning memory and cognitive function. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation has been shown to be effective in improving cognitive dysfunction. In this study, we investigated the effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on neural excitability and ion channels in simulated weightlessness mice from a neurophysiological perspective. Young C57 mice were divided into control, hindlimb unloading and magnetic stimulation groups. The mice in the hindlimb unloading and magnetic stimulation groups were treated with hindlimb unloading for 14 days to establish a simulated weightlessness model, while the mice in the magnetic stimulation group were subjected to 14 days of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation. Using isolated brain slice patch clamp experiments, the relevant indexes of action potential and the kinetic property changes of voltage-gated sodium and potassium channels were detected to analyze the excitability of neurons and their ion channel mechanisms. The results showed that the behavioral cognitive ability and neuronal excitability of the mice decreased significantly with hindlimb unloading. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation could significantly improve the cognitive impairment and neuroelectrophysiological indexes of the hindlimb unloading mice. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation may change the activation, inactivation and reactivation process of sodium and potassium ion channels by promoting sodium ion outflow and inhibiting potassium ion, and affect the dynamic characteristics of ion channels, so as to enhance the excitability of single neurons and improve the cognitive damage and spatial memory ability of hindlimb unloading mice.

Objective:To evaluate the degree of left atrial fibrosis in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation(AF) using four-dimensional automic left atrial quantitation(4D Auto LAQ).Methods:A total of 60 patients with persistent AF who underwent transcatheter radiofrequency ablation in the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from March 2022 to March 2023 were included. Patients were grouped according to the low-voltage area (mild<5%, moderate 5%-20%, severe>20%). General clinical data, conventional echocardiogram parameters, left atrial strain and related parameters of each group were compared. The relevant factors were obtained by Logistic regression analysis. The factor with the highest accuracy and its cut-off value was obtained by the ROC curve. Results:Sixty patients with persistent atrial fibrillation, were divided into mild low-voltage group(22 cases), moderate low-voltage group(20 cases), and severe low-voltage group(18 cases). There were statistical differences in gender, CHA2DS2-VASc score, peak value of early diastolic velocity of mitral inflow/average peak value of early diastolic tissue Doppler velocity of mitral annulus (E/e′), left atrial diameter (LAD), left atrial volume index (LAVI), left atrial maximal volume (LAVmax), left atrial minimal volume (LAVmin), left atrial total emptying fraction (LAEF), left atrial reservoir longitudinal strain (LASr), left atrial reservoir circumferential strain (LASr-c), left atrial myocardial work (LA MW, LA MW-c), left atrial stiffness (LA stiffness, LA stiffness-c) among the 3 groups(all P<0.05). The LASr had the highest correlation with low voltage area ( rs=-0.814, P<0.001). Logistic regression analysis showed that CHA2DS2-VASc, LAD, LAVI, LAVmax, LAVmin, LAEF, LASr, LASr-C, LA MW, LA MW-C, LA stiffness and LA stiffness-c could all predict the low voltage area(all P<0.05). The LA stiffness had the highest AUC (0.952). The cut-off value of severe low voltage was 1.15, the sensitivity was 94.4%, and the specificity was 83.3%. Conclusions:4D Auto LAQ can be used to evaluate the degree of left atrial fibrosis. The correlation between LA stiffness and substrate voltage mapping is the highest.
