Guided bone regeneration-assisted orthodontic treatment for closing the space of missing central incisors / 华西口腔医学杂志

Long-term missing teeth can lead to alveolar bone loss in the edentulous area. Guided bone regeneration (GBR) is a bone augmentation method. It is widely used in clinical practice and broadens the indications of orthodontic treatment to a certain extent. This article reports a case of an adult patient with edentulous space in the maxillary central incisor, which was successfully closed through orthodontic treatment combined with GBR. This study will provide a re-ference for future clinical work.

Application of single-retainer all-ceramic resin-bonded fixed partial denture in the maintenance of missing incisor gap after orthodontic treatment in adolescents: a case report / 华西口腔医学杂志

This article reports a case of an orthodontic adolescent patient without a right inferior incisor. The right lower canine was used as the abutment. The single-retainer all-ceramic resin-bonded fixed partial denture was used to restore the complete dentition. Thus, the missing space was filled, and the function and aesthetics were restored.
