Effect of traditional Chinese medicine and compounds for supplementing qi and activating blood circulation and inducing resuscitation on regulating stem cells to promote nerve repair of acute ischemic stroke / 中国组织工程研究

BACKGROUND:Endogenous neurogenesis and exogenous stem cell transplantation in the brain show great therapeutic potential for neurological diseases including ischemic stroke,repairing and replacing lost neurons,promoting synaptic remodeling,and inhibiting apoptosis.Traditional Chinese medicine and compound therapy for supplementing qi,activating blood circulation and inducing resuscitation for the treatment of neurological dysfunction after ischemia have certain advantages,targeting nerve repair through a variety of ways,including promoting endogenous neurogenesis and exogenous stem cell survival,proliferation,homing,and inducing neuronal differentiation. OBJECTIVE:To summarize the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine and compound for supplementing qi,activating blood circulation and inducing resuscitation to promote nerve repair in the acute phase of ischemic stroke,in order to provide a reference for the research and treatment of new drugs in ischemic stroke. METHODS:The articles from CNKI and PubMed databases about traditional Chinese medicine and compound for supplementing qi,activating blood circulation and inducing resuscitation in promotion of nerve repair in the acute phase of ischemic stroke from 2010 to 2022 were searched,with"supplementing qi and activating blood circulation;inducing resuscitation;traditional Chinese medicine(TCM);compounds;ischemic stroke;nerve repair;stem cells"as Chinese and English search terms.After excluding old and duplicate views,the retrieved literature was analyzed and collated,and a total of 124 articles were included for analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)The definition of stem cells,ischemic stroke and the nerve repair pathway in the acute phase of ischemic stroke were sorted out.(2)The mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine and compound for supplementing qi,activating blood circulation and inducing resuscitation to promote nerve repair in the acute phase of ischemic stroke was summarized,mainly including promoting stem cell proliferation,improving stem cell viability and survival rate,promoting nerve cell homing,inducing stem cell differentiation to neurons,inhibiting apoptosis of nerve cells,promoting axon regeneration,regulating angiogenesis and remodeling,improving the level of neurotrophic factors and repairing the integrity of the blood-brain barrier.(3)Through the existing research,the relevant factors and signaling pathways of traditional Chinese medicines and compounds for supplementing qi,activating blood circulation and inducing resuscitation to promote nerve repair in the acute phase of ischemic stroke were summarized,such as Nestin protein expression,DCX protein expression,brain-derived neurotrophic factor,vascular endothelial growth factor and Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway,Notch signaling pathway,PI3k/Akt signaling pathway,BDNF/TrkB signaling pathway and ERK/MAPK signaling pathway.It provides a relevant reference for future research on ischemic stroke-specific drugs and new clinical treatment methods.

Role of Supplementing Qi and Activating Blood in Preventing Relapse After Recovery of Community-acquired Pneumonia with Syndrome of Lung Deficiency and Collateral Stasis / 中国实验方剂学杂志

Community-acquired pneumonia （CAP） is a respiratory infection which takes a long time to fully recover after clinical symptoms are alleviated in the short term. It affects the physical health and quality of life of the patients in the long term and can occur repeatedly， which is related to inflammation， immunity， and the coagulation function. Lung Qi deficiency and collateral stasis are the key pathogenesis of CAP at the recovery stage. The development of CAP is accompanied by the decreased production and the increased consumption of Qi， which results in lung Qi deficiency. At the same time， heat pathogen forces the blood to move improperly， which depletes Qi and damages fluid， resulting in lung collateral stasis. Lung Qi deficiency and collateral stasis are causal and influence each other. The patients at the recovery stage of CAP generally present deficient lung Qi and healthy Qi， impaired immune function， and weakened defense function. However， pathogenic Qi， coagulation function changes， and thrombosis exist， and some coagulation factors are associated with the prognosis of CAP. The Chinese medicines for tonifying lung and supplementing Qi can help replenish healthy Qi， consolidate the body foundation， and regulate the inflammation. The Chinese medicines for activating blood and resolving stasis can dredge the lung collaterals， clear the pathogenic Qi， improve the microvascular circulation， and inhibit the inflammatory response. The Chinese medicines for supplementing Qi and activating blood can replenish healthy Qi and dispel pathogen to regulate immunity， inhibit inflammation， and alleviate the clinical symptoms， thus promoting the recovery from pneumonia. From lung Qi deficiency and collateral stasis， this paper summarizes the application and explains the scientific connotation of supplementing Qi and activating blood in preventing relapse after recovery of CAP， providing ideas for using this method to assist in preventing relapse after recovery of CAP.

Clinical study on preventing deep vein thrombosis of lower limb after total hip replacement with supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation / 中国现代医生

Objective To explore the clinical effect of supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation in preventing deep venous thrombosis after total hip arthroplasty. Methods A total of 60 inpatients undergoing total hip replacement surgery in our hospital from March 2016 to December 2017 were selected. According to the different treatment methods, they were divided into control group and observation group. There were 30 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation by taking activating blood circulation and diminishing swelling decoction after total hip arthroplasty, and the control group was treated with administrating Asprin orally after total hip replacement. Compared the treatment effect of the two groups. Results After total hip arthroplasty, the excellent and good rate and the incidence of complications in the observation group were all superior to the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0. 05). Conclusion The use of supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation method to prevent the formation of deep venous thrombosis after total hip arthroplasty is an ideal treatment.

Review of clinical research on the supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation method in treatment of chemotherapy-induced bone marrow suppression of lung cancer / 国际中医中药杂志

Lung cancer, as the highest incidence and mortality in the world, has become a majorkiller of human health. Most patients received chemotherapy to alleviate symptoms and prolong life when they are in the middle and advanced stage of lung cancer. The supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation method of traditional Chinese medicine maybe the breakthrough point for lung cancer. Thus, this paper reviewed the clincial research on the single agent, compound and Chinese patent medicine, which relected the meaning of upplementing Qi and activating blood circulation, for bone marrow suppression caused by lung cancer chemotherapy.

Evaluation of effect of supplementing Qi and activating blood decoction based on combined model of "intestinal out-cardiac muscle cells" and discussion of its mechanism / 中国中药杂志

This research firstly establishes the oxidative damage model of H9c2 induced by H2O2 and screens the concentration range of intestines absorption liquid of Qi benefiting and blood circulation activating formula which possess external myocardium protection function. Then, the thesis chooses 4 dosages to conduct experiments：examining the protection function of intestines absorption liquid of Qi benefiting and blood circulation activating formula on H9c2 to provide reference for clinical prevention and curing of relative heart diseases of oxidative stress injury; as well as examining the H9c2 cardiac muscle cell vigour, cellular morphology, SOD, MDA and other indexes to primarily evaluate and discuss the functional mechanism of intestines absorption liquid of Qi benefiting and blood circulation activating formula. The results show that the intestines absorption liquid of Qi benefiting and blood circulation activating formula has relatively better protection function toward the H9c2 cardiac muscle cell damage induced by H2O2 and presents concentration dependency to some extent. The intestines absorption liquid of Qi benefiting and blood circulation activating formula can increase SOD vigour, and decrease MDA emission, thus decreasing the formation of abnormal cell and strengthening the oxidation resistance of cardiac muscle cell. The intestines absorption liquid of Qi benefiting and blood circulation activating formula has protection function to some extent.

Change of Capillary Pericapillary Cells in Rats with Myocardial Infarction and Effect of Supplementing Qi and Activating Blood Circulation Herbs / 中国中医药信息杂志

Objective To observe the change of capillary pericapillary cells in rats with myocardial infarction and the influence of supplementing qi and activating blood circulation herbs, and explore its mechanism of improving myocardial perfusion. Methods The rat model was established by ligaturing the left anterior descending coronary artery. On the base of ECG evaluation, successfully modeled rats were randomly divided into the model group, group treated with supplementing qi and activating blood circulation Chinese medicine (activating blood and supplementing qi group), group treated with Perindopril (Perindopril group), group treated with Tongxinluo Capsules (Tongxinluo group). The sham-operation group was taken as the control. There were totally 5 groups. The model group and the sham-operation group were treated with normal saline. The changes of myocardial capillary density (MCD) and number of pericapillary cells on the 7th, 28th day after medicinal administration were observed. Results On the 7th and 28th day, the MCD decreased significantly and the number of capillary pericapillary cells increased significantly in the model group compared with the sham-operation group (P<0.01). The MCD increased significantly in the activating blood and supplementing qi group, Perindopril group and Tongxinluo group compared with the model group (P<0.01). The number of pericapillary cells decreased significantly in the activating blood and supplementing qi group, Perindopril group and Tongxinluo group compared with the model group (P<0.01). Conclusion The supplementing qi and activating blood circulation herbs can improve regional myocardial blood supply by decreasing the number of pericytes and promoting regeneration of capillary.

Clinical analysis on 60 critically ill patients treated by supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation method (益气活血法) / 中国中西医结合急救杂志

Clinical Study on the Method for Supplementing Qi and Activating Blood Circulation for Treatment of 30 Cases of Multiple Infarctional Dementia / 中医杂志

Objective:To observe clinical therapeutic effect of Xiaoshuan Yizhi Capsules on multiple infarctional dementia(MID).Methods:50 cases of MID were randomly divided into Xiaoshuan Yizhi Capsules treatment group and Hydergine control group.Their symptoms and signs,cumulative scores of Haseguwa's Dementia Scale(HDS)and Mini-mental state examination(MMSE),blood lipids,hemorheologic indexes,superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity in red cells,plasma lipids of peroxide(LPO)content were investigated. Results:The total effective rate was 90% in the treatment group,and Xiaoshuan Yizhi Capsules not only improved symptoms and signes,increased cumulative scores of HDS and MMSE,and also regulated blood lipids,decreased hemorheologic indexes,raised SOD activity and decreased LPO content.Conclusion:Xiaoshuan Yizhi Capsule is superior to Hydergine in treatment of MID.
