We describe a case of 16-year-old girl who reported with diminution of vision in left eye for past seven months with appearance of white reflex. Slit lamp biomicroscopy revealed the presence of a live grayish white cyst in the anterior chamber. The ultrabiomicroscopic evaluation revealed a large live Cysticercus cellulosae cyst in anterior chamber. The CT-scan of the brain revealed multiple non-contrast enhanced lesions with calcification in brain parenchyma. The patient was started on oral prednisolone and oral albendazole. The cyst was removed in toto from the eye by double incision technique. The patient achieved visual acuity of 6/12 post-operatively.

We present three cases of persistent corneal edema secondary to presumed dead adult filarial worms lying in the anterior chamber with their attachment to the endothelium. Two of them were initially diagnosed as descemet's fold with corneal edema. Two patients underwent penetrating keratoplasty and in one case, surgical removal was partly possible with clearing of cornea.

A case of anterior internal ophthalmomyiasis is described. A 27-year-old female from Northern Brazil presenting with anterior uveitis and vitritis had a fly larva surgically removed from the anterior chamber of the left eye. The species was Cochliomyia hominivorax. The larva was covered by macrophages and foreign body giant cells characterizing a foreign body granulomatous reaction.
Um caso de oftalmomiíase interna anterior é descrito. Uma mulher de 27 anos proveniente da região Norte do Brasil com uveíte anterior e vitreíte teve uma larva de mosca cirurgicamente removida da câmara anterior do olho esquerdo. A espécie identificada foi Cochliomyia hominivorax. A larva estava coberta por macrófagos e células gigantes de corpo estranho, caracterizando uma reação granulomatosa de corpo estranho.

Intraocular infestation by live Gnathostoma spinigerum is a rare occurrence in humans. Most of the published reports are from South-East Asia. We report a case of intravitreal gnathostomiasis, where the worm was removed live and intact by pars plana vitrectomy.

We report a rare case of intraocular Gnathostomiasis, where a live worm, intracameral in location, was successfully removed. Its identity was confirmed by microscopy.

La gnatostomiasis humana es una enfermedad rara, cuya frecuencia aumentó en los últimos años; es ocasionada por la infestación de un nematodo, Gnathostoma, el cual se adquiere por ingestión de pescado crudo. El presente trabajo describe el caso de una paciente de 27 años de edad, residente de Uxpanapa, Ver., a quien se le encontró una larva de 3er. estadio alojada en la cámara anterior del globo ocular derecho, que se extrajo quirúrgicamente con éxito; se identificó como Ghathostoma probablemente spinigerum.
