RESUMO
From August 1992 to August 1995, twenty-two operations in the foot and ankle were done in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Menia University Hospital in fifteen children [ten boys and five girls] suffering from severe club foot deformity, seven with bilateral and eight with unilateral affection. Their ages ranged from 3 to 3.5 years. One of the unilateral deformity aged 13 years had severe equinovarus deformity due to burn contracture. They were treated by soft tissue release and skin flaps either rotation or multiple Z plasty supplemented with El-Khouly external fixator. The results according to Mittal 1987 were excellent in seventeen feet and good in four feet and poor in one foot

Four patients suffering from tumoral calcinosis were treated by using phosphate-binding antacid to lower the intestinal absorption of phosphorus in Menia University Hospital between September 1992 and September 1994 [period of follow up about 24 months]. The results were excellent in two cases and good in the other two cases

20 cases with cubitus valgus deformities following nonunited lateral condyle of the humerus were corrected by medial closing wedge osteotomy. Their ages ranged from 15 to 26 years with a mean of 18 years. The cases were clinically and radiologically assessed. The valgus angular deformity as measured 1st humeral elbow wrist angle ranged from 25 to 52 degrees with a mean of 36.25 degrees. The results according to criteria of Oppenheim, revealed an excellent results in 75%, good results in 15% and poor results in 10% of the cases
