RESUMO

<p><b>UNLABELLED</b>OBJECITVE: To established an efficient method for simultaneous quantification of 7 compounds belonging to 4 chemical types in Psoralea corylifolia processed by different methods, and to elucidate variations of 4 kinds of compounds in different processed P. corylifolia.</p><p><b>METHOD</b>The chromatographic separation was performed on an ACUITY C18 column using acetonitrile and 0.1% formic acid aqueous solution in the gradient elution at 0.4 mL x min(-1). Detection wavelength was set at 246 nm. Column temperature was fixed at 50 degrees C.</p><p><b>RESULT</b>The 4 kinds of compounds including psoralenoside, isopsoralenoside (benzofuran glycosides), psoralen, isopsoralen, psoralidin (coumarins), bavachin (flavonoids), and bakuchiol (meroterpenes) were separated in 25 min. The correlation coefficients of those compounds were over 0.9993 in the tested range. The intra- and inter-day precisions were below 1.5%. The average recoveries ranged from 99.2% to 106%.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>This method is simple, rapid and accurate, which can be used for the determination of the 4 kinds of compounds in different processed P. corylifolia. In P. corylifolia processed by different methods, the contents of benzofuran glycosides, flavonoids, and meroterpenes in P. corylifolia processed by Leigong's method decrease obviously, while the contents of psoralen and isopsoralen increase significantly.</p>

RESUMO

A rapid and sensitive analytical method was developed for the simultaneous determination of fumonisins B1 and B2 in traditional Chinese medicines by HPLC-MS/MS. The detection limits for fumonisins B1 and B2 were 0.25 ng x mL(-1) corresponding to 2 microg x kg(-1) in samples. Recoveries from different samples spiked with fumonisins B1 and B2 at levels ranging from 0.2 to 3 mg x kg(-1) were 84.0%-96.1% and 86.3%-99.3%, respectively. Among the total of 34 samples purchased from local markets, ten samples of which were visibly moldy samples due to inappropriate storage, and 24 were normal samples. The results showed that 6 of the visibly moldy samples and 5 of the normal samples were contaminated with total fumonisins at levels ranging 82.4-2349 microg x kg(-1) and 102-729 microg x kg(-1), respectively.

RESUMO

The excretion characteristics of stilbene glycoside (THSG) and its beta-cyclodextrin inclusion in bile, urine and feces after oral administration to rats were studied. Bile for 24 h, urine and feces for 72 h were collected. The content of THSG was determined by HPLC-UV. The established HPLC-UV method was available for the analysis of THSG in excreta and corresponded to the requirement of biological sample analysis. After given THSG and its beta-cyclodextrin inclusion, the amount of prototype THSG in feces were 3.27% and 0.61%, meanwhile THSG in bile were 0.20% and 0.18%, respectively. Only a little THSG was found in urine. The result showed that beta-cyclodextrin inclusion reduced the fecal excretion of THSG. However, the characteristic of urinary and biliary excretion wasn't changed.
