Técnica alternativa de moldagem em prótese parcial removível / An impression technique alternative in removable partial dentures

Introdução: a obtenção do modelo anatômico representa um passo importante no diagnóstico e planejamento de uma prótese, portanto esse deve ser obtido através de uma técnica de moldagem correta, observando todos os acidentes anatômicos relevantes a uma boa moldagem. Objetivo: enfatizar, através de relato de caso clínico, que a técnica de moldagem modificada pode alcançar o sucesso quando indicada e realizada corretamente. Relato de caso: este trabalho relata uma técnica alternativa de moldagem para Prótese Parcial Removível Classe I de Kennedy inferior em pacientes com rebordos reabsorvidos e excessos de tecido mole. Considerações finais: a técnica de moldagem, valendo-se da utilização de uma técnica alternativa, permite a obtenção de uma correta impressão da área edêntula mediante uma técnica de simples execução.

Introduction: obtaining the anatomical model represents an important step in the diagnosis and planning of prosthesis, so it must be obtained through a correct molding technique, observing all anatomical accidents relevant to a good impression. Objective: to emphasize, through a clinical case report, that the modified molding technique can achieve success when indicated and performed correctly. Case report: This paper reports an alternative molding technique for Kennedy's Class I Removable Partial Prosthesis in patients with resorbed edges and soft tissue excesses. Final considerations: the technique of molding using an alternative technique allows the correct impression of the edentulous area to be obtained through a simple technique.

Guided bone regeneration associated with L- PRF vertical bone gain: A case report

Every day have been increased the number of patients in the dental office looking for oral reabilitações, many of them being a challenge to the dentist surgeon. Currently, implants are installed on guided bone regeneration, the use of membranes, titanium threads and bone substitutes are key parts for correcting bone defects and to support the implant. Thereunto, the aim of this study was the description of a case addressing the methods and materials used for guided bone regeneration with the use of L-PRF for vertical bone gain. The patient showed the absence of the elements 22, 23 and 24, and a bony defect arc in this region. The installation of the implants, followed by guided bone regeneration support with a titanium mesh was indicated. The use of guided bone regeneration technique involving the mesh titanium implants, bone and lyophilized bovine L-PRF membrane showed a viable technique, the succeeding vertical bone gain until the implant platform.
