RESUMO
El objetivo de esta investigación fue establecer la asociación entre el consumo ideológico sobre la Política de Seguridad Democrática (PSD) y la imagen del presidente Álvaro Uribe Vélez con el consumo de bienes, productos o servicios nacionalistas en jóvenes universitarios de Bogotá-Colombia. Para ello se realizó un estudio de tipo descriptivo multidimensional que permite el análisis cuantitativo de preguntas abiertas y cerradas. Se construyó y aplicó un cuestionario orientado a indagar por las dimensiones psicológica, social y cultural del consumo ideológico a 251 jóvenes universitarios. Los principales resultados muestran que en algunos segmentos de la población existe un consumo ideológico de la PSD que se asocia con el consumo de productos que fortalecen la identidad colombiana y que en la imagen de Uribe Vélez se simbolizan la gran mayoría de características que los participantesasociaron con la PSD.
The objective of this research was to establish the link between the ideological consumption of the Democratic Security Policy (DSP in English or PSD in Spanish) and President Álvaro Uribe Vélezs image, with the consumption of nationalistic goods, products or services in young college students in Bogotá, Colombia. To this end, a descriptive multidimensional type study was conducted, which allowed for the quantitative analysis of open and closed-ended questions. A survey aimed at inquiring about the cultural, social and psychological dimensions of the ideological consumption was developed and administered to 251 college youth. The main results show that in some segments of the population there is an ideological consumption of the DSP associated with the consumption of products which strengthen the Colombian national identity, and symbolized in Uribe Vélezs image are the majority of characteristics participants associated with DSP.
