Test y evaluación neuropsicológica / Tests and neuropsychological assessment

Históricamente la evaluación neuropsicológica ha pasado por una serie de etapas según el centro de interés predominante (Manga y Ramos, 1999): Se ha pasado desde cuando con un único test, por ejemplo, Test de Bender, se buscaba conocer la existencia o no de daño cerebral “organizacidad”, década de 1940 a 1990, pasando por la siguiente etapa de baterías de test, por ejemplo versión para niños de la batería Halstead Reitan), hasta la etapa más actual de los perfiles funcionales. Es en este momento en el que se desarrolla el siguiente artículo, el cual tiene como objetivo analizar el papel que los tests y baterías neuropsicológicos desempeñan en la evaluación neuropsicológica, en concreto, en el desarrollo de un perfil neuropsicológico, que orientará la posterior rehabilitación neuropsicológica. Paralelamente se presentan algunos de los instrumentos que tradicionalmente han sido empleados en el ámbito de la evaluación neuropsicológica junto a las baterías neuropsicológicas.

History, the assessment neuropsychology have goned passed several moments dependens on which have been the dominant interest (Manga y Ramos, 1999): At the begging, the attention was one single test or instrument, for example The Bender Test. At this moment, the question was the look for the organic substract, the decade 1940 to 1990. The next phase was the applying several tests, for example the children version of Halstead Reitan battery. Actually, the attention is in designing the functional profile. In this moment is focus this paper, which has the aim to study the roll which play the tests in the assessment neuropsychology, to try the neuropsycholgy profile which will settle the neuropsychology rehabilitation.

Neuropsicología y esquizofrenia / Neuropsychology and schizophrenia

En este artículo nos centramos en analizar los estudios que avalan la existencia de un deterioro en el rendimiento de pruebas neuropsicológicas estandarizadas especialmente las que implican atención, memoria, funcionamiento ejecutivo y funcionamiento cognitivo general y están presentes no sólo en la esquizofrenia sino también en otros trastornos del espectro de la psicosis.

In this paper we focus our attention to study the several researches that support the existence of a deterioration in the performance of tests neuropsychology standardized specially those who imply attention, memory, executive functioning and cognitive general functioning and these are present not only in the schizophrenia but also in other disorders of the spectrum of the psychosis.
