RESUMO
The development of ceramic systems amplified the number of alternatives to modern restorative dentistry in an attempt to replace the infrastructure of metal dentures; high-performance ceramics have been improved and increasingly used in dentistry in search of an aesthetic improvement. Among the dental ceramic, zirconia has emerged as a promising and versatile material, due to their biological properties, mechanical and optical, which certainly has accelerated the routine use of CAD-CAM crowns, bridges, abutments and prostheses on implants, technicians and dentists.
