RESUMO
Para establecer si existe relación entre el crecimiento y el efecto de la fuerza lingual que pueda influir sobre la oclusión dental, se realizo un estudio de corte transversal descriptivo comparativo, midiendo la fuerza lingual en protrusión con un glosómetro externo en niñas con edades entre los 7 -11 años con oclusión molar clase I, presencia de los cuatro primeros molares permanentes en boca y que no hubiesen recibido tratamiento de ortopedia u ortodoncia. Además, se determinó el peso, la estatura y la edad como variables representativas del crecimiento. Al comparar estas variables con la fuerza lingual en protrusión se encontró una relación positiva con la estatura y la edad, y no se encontró relación con el peso. Con estos hallazgos se establece que existe una relación entre el crecimiento y la fuerza lingual, que podría afectar la oclusión dental en estas edades.
To establish if there is a relation between growth and the effect of the lingual force that could infer upon dental oclusión, a study of the comparative descriptive transverse curve, measuring the lingual protusion force with an external glosometer in girls with ages between 7-11 years with a molar oclusión class I, with the presence of the four I permanent molars in the mouth, and that they had not received ortopedics or ortodontics. Also the weight, height and age were determined as representative variables of growth. When comparing this variables with the lingual protusion force, a positive relation with age, height was found, and also the relation of another thing that was found help us establish that there is a relation between growth and lingual force that could affect the dental oclusión in this ages.
