Es indispensable, que al considerar como ayuda diagnostica primordial la tele-radiografía de perfil en la elaboración de un diagnostico enfocado a un plan de tratamiento, ésta nos muestra una verdadera relación intermaxilar tanto sagital como vertical en el momento que la mandíbula se encuentra en relación céntrica o cercana a esa posición condilar dictada por los músculos y no de máxima intercuspidación o dictada por los dientes, como habitualmente son tomadas las tele-radiografías. Esto siempre y cuando la diferencia entre OC y RC sea mayor de 2 mm, al realizar la cuantificación de esta diferencia utilizando un indicador de posición mandibular.

This is important if the diference between CR and CO gets greater that 2 mm when we measure whit a mandibular position indicator.
