A investigação psicológica sobre a moralidade: anotações de um projeto / Psychological research on morality: notes on a project

O artigo apresenta um projeto de pesquisa em curso sobre a constituição da moralidade. Sintetizam-se duas etapas distintas do processo: a) primeiro se indagou sobre a noção que as crianças têm da responsabilidade, podendo observar-se a maneira pela qual evoluem desde uma perspectiva objetiva a uma subjetiva, mas verificando também a aparição precoce de reflexões infantis que mostram sua compreensão da responsabilidade sobre as conseqüências não desejadas, mas, embora involuntariamente, causadas; b) na segunda etapa, atualmente em processo, aborda-se, pela investigação psicológica empírica, a problemática da liberdade dos sujeitos em relação à norma. A relação do eu consigo mesmo, tal como é considerada por Foucault, e as operações de alienação e separação, nos termos de Lacan, são tomadas como modelos para a compreensão dos processos que se estudam.

The article discusses a research project that is presently being carried out on the establishment of morality. Two separate phases are briefly described: a) in the first place an examination of the notion that children have of responsibility was carried out. The evolution of a subjective to an objective point of view was observed, while finding that the early manifestations of infantile thoughts show a comprehension of responsibility in undesirable consequences, even when caused involuntarily; b) in a second phase, in progress at the present, the question of the subject’s freedom in relation to the norm is approached by means of empirical psychological research. The relation of the ego with itself, as described by Foucault, and the alienation/separation operation, as considered in Lacan’s terms, are the models used to understand these processes.
