A Referência a Marx no Ensino de Lacan / The Reference to Marx in Lacan's Teachings

RESUMO A referência a Marx forma uma constante no ensino de Lacan. Rastreando o conjunto de tais referências, vemos Marx surgir, desaparecer, para, logo em seguida, ressurgir no interior do pensamento lacaniano. Tal diálogo manifesta a persistência de um núcleo central. Nesse sentido, consideramos que o interesse de Lacan em formalizar a relação existente entre os conceitos de sujeito do significante, de Outro e de gozo constitui o núcleo de tal diálogo do começo ao fim. Nosso artigo tratará da recorrência desse núcleo temático, percorrendo sucessivamente três diferentes momentos desse diálogo na obra de Lacan.

ABSTRACT The reference to Marx forms a constant in Lacan's teachings. Tracing all these references we see Marx emerge, disappear, then reappear in Lacanian thought. Such dialogue expresses the persistence of a central core. In this sense, we consider that the interest of Lacan to formalize the relationship between the concepts of subject of the signifier, Other and enjoyment is the core of this dialogue from beginning to end. Our paper will address the recurrence of this thematic cluster, successively traversing three different moments of dialogue in Lacan's work.

Partindo da perspectiva lacaniana, examina-se a relação entre declínio da função paterna e novos sintomas. Critica-se a assimilação entre declínio da função paterna e declínio do Nome-do-pai. Investiga-se o termo novos sintomas, demonstrando seu caráter contraditório. Conclui-se que a decadência da Lei social é compatível com a inscrição do Nome-do-pai; e que tal declínio engendrou novas patologias, mas que não são assimiláveis a sintomas...

"New symptoms" and paternal function decline: a critical examination of the question. From the Lacanian perspective, it explores the relationship between the decline of the paternal function and the new symptoms. It criticizes the assimilation between paternal function decline and the decline of the Name-of-the-Father. It examines the term new symptoms, showing its contradictory character. It concludes that the decline of social law is compatible with the inscription of the Name-of-the-Father, and that such a decline engendered new pathologies, but these are not assimilable to symptoms...

Peirce, Lacan e a questão do signo indicial / Peirce, Lacan and the problem of the indexical sign

Pouca atenção é dada, na literatura psicanalítica, às relações entre Lacan e Peirce. No entanto, a referência a Peirce é uma constante no ensino de Lacan a partir dos anos 1960. Por outro lado, a análise desta referência permite situar uma importante descontinuidade teórica no ensino de Lacan. Ela diz respeito a uma reforma importante da teoria do significante, cujo pivô é a introdução do conceito de signo. O artigo visa explicitar as diferenças teóricas entre Peirce e Lacan, assim como o uso particular que este faz de certos conceitos provenientes do pragmatismo.

The relationship between Lacan and Peirce has not been given much consideration in the psychoanalytical bibliography. However, the reference to Peirce is a constant in Lacan's teachings from the sixties. On the other hand, the analysis of this reference permits us to situate an important theoretical discontinuity in his teachings. This discontinuity concerns an important modification in the theory of the signifier based on the introduction of the concept of sign. The article aims to explicit the theoretical differences between Peirce and Lacan and their particular use of some concepts coming from pragmatism.

De la représentation freudienne au signifiant lacanien: sur la pertinence de l'interprétation structurelle de l'inconscient / Da representação freudiana ao significante lacaniano: acerca da pertinência da interpretação estrutural do inconsciente / From Freudian representation to Lacanian signifying: the pertinence of structural interpretation of the unconscious

Cet article voudrait expliciter quelques aspects de l'œuvre freudienne dont Lacan se sert pour la lecture structurale de la psychanalyse. En prenant pour base les indications fournies par le psychanalyste français, il s'agit donc de poursuivre un double but: expliciter les concepts le plus saillants de l'interprétation lacanienne de l'inconscient en montrant que celle-ci est déjà ouverte par l'œuvre de Freud, ainsi que signaler la valeur heuristique de la elaboration de Lacan, dans la mesure où ce parcours contribuerait à rendre plus intelligible certains concepts de la théorie freudienne de la représentation. On conclut par là que la théorie lacanienne ne se réduit nullement à la simple importation et application dans la psychanalyse des concepts provenant de la linguistique structurale.

Este artigo visa explicitar alguns aspectos da obra freudiana dos quais se serve Lacan para a leitura estrutural da psicanálise. Tomando por base as indicações fornecidas pelo psicanalista francês, trata-se de perseguir uma dupla finalidade: explicitar os conceitos mais pregnantes da interpretação lacaniana do inconsciente para mostrar que esta leitura estava já aberta pela obra ela mesma de Freud, assim como assinalar o valor heurístico da elaboração de Lacan, na medida em que tal percurso contribuiria a tornar mais inteligível certos conceitos da teoria freudiana da representação. Conclui-se assim que a teoria lacaniana não se reduz de maneira nenhuma à simples importação não-autorizada e aplicação na psicanálise de conceitos provenientes da linguística estrutural.

Based on the indication provided by Lacan, this paper aims to clarify aspects of Freud's work that provided the structural reading of psychoanalysis. The paper pursues a dual objective: to outline the outstanding concepts of Lacanian interpretation of the unconscious, showing these are the result of an interpretation of Freud's work, and highlight the heuristic value of the development of Lacan, to the extent where this path contributed to make some very difficult concepts of Freud's theory of representation intelligible. It concludes that the Lacanian theory can in no way be reduced to a simple importation and application of the concepts from structural linguistics to psychoanalysis.

Muitas vezes ignorada, a importância dada por Lacan à obra de Frege se mostra na verdade cada vez mais considerável. Citada pelo psicanalista desde os anos 1950, a importância dessa obra evolui na mesma medida que o ensino lacaniano. Este privilégio é devido não somente à crescente sofisticação da reflexão de Lacan, mas sobretudo a seu esforço em determinar uma questão bastante específica: como isolar a articulação existente entre a estrutura diferencial do significante e a economia pulsional? Este problema encontra sua formulação mais explícita na elaboração lacaniana do conceito de Um, que é justamente realizada através de um diálogo constante com o logicismo fregeano

Cited by the analyst since the 1950s, the importance of this work will grow as much as Lacanian learning evolves. This privilege is not only due to the increasing sophistication of the Lacan's thinking, but especially to the effort to determine a very specific question: how to isolate the relationship that exists between the differential structure of meaning and the pulsional economy? This problem finds its most explicit formulation in the development of One Lacanian concept, which is made precisely through a constant dialogue with the Fregean logicism
