Objetivo: Estabelecer a soroprevalência de sífilis em pacientes submetidos à reprodução assistida. Método: Estudo descritivo retrospectivo feito de janeiro a dezembro de 2011, em pacientes submetidos à reprodução assistida de baixa e alta complexidade no Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Federal de Goiás e na Clínica Fértile Diagnósticos, em Goiânia. Os testes usados para o diagnóstico da sífilis foram o não treponêmico e o treponêmico. Resultados: No Hospital das Clínicas foram encontradas 320 mulheres. Dessas, 253 apresentavam o teste não treponêmico negativo e 67 não fizeram o exame. Na Clínica Fértile Diagnósticos foram selecionados 1.942 pacientes, 896 mulheres e 728 homens. Desses, 318 não fizeram as sorologias necessárias para iniciar o tratamento e foram coletados dados de 1.624 pacientes. Conclusão: A soroprevalência geral de sífilis em pacientes submetidos à reprodução assistida é de 0,11%, com 0% em amostra feminina pública a 0,11% em amostra feminina privada. Para a amostra masculina privada a prevalência foi de 0,14%.
Objective: To determine the seroprevalence of syphilis in patients undergoing assisted reproduction. Method: Retrospective descriptive study conducted from january to december 2011 in patients undergoing assisted reproduction of low and high complexity at the Hospital and Clinic Fertility Diagnostics in Goiania. The test used for the diagnosis of syphilis was not treponemal test and treponemal. Results: In the Hospital das Clinicas found 320 women. Negative not treponemal test werefound in 253 of these patients and 67 were not screened. In Fertile Diagnostics were selected in 1,942 patients, 896 women and 728 are men. Of this total, 318 did not perform serology necessary to start treatment, and then collected data from 1,624 patients. Conclusion: The overall prevalence of syphilis in patients undergoing assisted reproductionis 0.11%, and considering the female sample was 0% public and private female sample was 0.11%, and the sample was male private 0.14%.
