El valor de la colagenasa en heridas agudas y crónicas / The value of collagenase in acute and chronic wounds

Se presenta en este trabajo una serie de pacientes con heridas agudas y crónicas, tratados con colagenasa como tratamiento tópico único o combinado. Se describe el producto y su papel en el manejo de heridas, junto a una búsqueda bibliográfica detallada sobre las características de esta enzima y su papel en el proceso de cicatrización.

A series of patients with acute and chronic wounds treated with collagenase, as single or combined topical treatment is presented in this work. This material and its role in wound management with a detailed literature search on the characteristics of this enzyme and its role in the healing process are described.

Heridas agudas y crónicas causadas por picaduras y mordeduras de animales / Acute and chronic wounds caused by bites and stings of animals

Se presenta la metodología de trabajo en el servicio, para el manejo de heridas agudas y crónicas en pacientes con mordeduras, las características de este tipo de lesiones y una revisión bibliográfica sobre el tema.

We present the methodology of work in the service, for the management of acute and chronic wounds in patients with bites, the characteristics of this type of injury and a literature review on the subject.

Manejo de las miasis en heridas agudas y crónicas: Presentación de casos y revisión de la bibliografía / Acute and chronic wound in myasis management: Cases report and bibliography review

Se presentan casos de heridas tratadas localmente, producidas por diferentes tipos de miasis cutáneas.

Fifteen cases of wound due to cutaneous myiasis are reported. Local treatment and the subtypes of myasis are reviewed.
