RESUMO

Helicobacter pylori (Hp) is a Gram-negative bacterium, mainly and specifically colonized on the surface of gastric mucosa, and closely related to upper gastrointestinal diseases such as chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer, gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma, and gastric cancer. At present, the infection rate of Hp in the world has been more than half of the population. In China, due to a series of reasons such as the abuse of antibiotics, the infection rate of Hp has already exceeded the world average. Solving the problem of antimicrobial resistance has become the key to the successful eradication of Hp. This article reviewed the advances in study on molecular mechanisms of antibiotic resistance of Hp.
