RESUMO

【Objective】 To investigate the expression of BMP8A in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and the relationship between its expression level and clinicopathological features of PTC patients. 【Methods】 Based on TCGA and GEO databases, we analyzed and screened BMP8A, one differentially expressed gene related to PTC. From April 2019 to October 2019, 35 cases of thyroid papillary carcinoma and the tumor-adjacent tissues were collected from the Department of Gastrointestinal Gland Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. Real-time PCR was used to detect the expression of BMP8A in PTC and tumor-adjacent tissues, and the relationship between different expression levels and clinicopathological features of the patients was analyzed and compared. Then, we used Western blotting for verification. 【Results】 Both Real-time PCR and Western blotting analyses proved that the expression of BMP8A in PTC was significantly lower than that in the tumor-adjacent tissues (P<0.05), and the expression of BMP8A was also significantly decreased in PTC tissues with cervical lymph node metastasis compared with those without metastasis(P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 BMP8A has a low expression in papillary thyroid carcinoma, and its expression level is related to cervical lymph node metastasis. BMP8A may be a suppressor gene of PTC. This may provide a new direction for further exploring the mechanism of cervical lymph node metastasis in PTC and preventing recurrence after surgery.

RESUMO

Since the examination of doctor's qualifications came into effect, methods that are set by standard to judge whether one passes the examination or not were in dispute all the while. This article is going to introduce four kinds of methods (Angoff method、Modified Angoff method、Nedelsky method、Borderline group method) which are commonly used at home and abroad. Summarizing their advantages, disadvantages and the usage in the process of standards setting in various countries, we aim to provide reference for setting cutoff score of the examination of doctor's qualifications in China.

RESUMO

@# ObjectiveTo observe effect of combined treatment for piriformis syndrome and analyze its cause, pathoge nesis, pathology and recovery mechanism.Methods73 piriformis syndrome cases were divided randomly into two groups. The control gro up (35 cases) was given routine treatment, but the treatment group (38 cases) ad ded with thermal therapy, computerized medium frequency electrotherapy, manual t herapy, etc. After two courses, therapeutic effects were observed and assessed w ith standards for hip joint function. Results Of the control group,14 cases were cured,9 effectual,9 effective, and 3 ineffecti ve; of the experiment group, 23 cured,9 effectual, 5 effective, and 1 ineffecti ve. By statistical analysis, the therapeutic effect in the treatment group is su perior to those in the control group (P<0.05). Hip joint fu nction is assessed by scores as: the median point before and after the treatment for the control group is 18.00,the experiment group is 27.50, with statistical ly significance difference (P<0.01).The average cure time f or the experiment group is 11.04±5.10 days, fewer than that for the control gro up (14.79±5.79 days)(P<0.05).Conclusions Comb ined treatment used for piriformis syndrome can produce remarkable therapeutic e ffect, and various types of therapies can play such coordinate roles as promotin g blood circulation, repercussion, anti-inflammation, analgesia, relaxing adhes ion and softening scar.
