RESUMO
A reabilitação de maxilas atrófica é um grande desafio para cirurgiões e protesistas. Muitas técnicas têm sido propostas, dentre elas, o uso de implantes zigomáticos tem se mostrado eficiente e de baixa morbidade. O objetivo do presente artigo foi relatar um caso de implantes zigomáticos instalados através de cirurgia minimamente invasiva, reduzindo descolamento mucogengival e preservando os tecidos moles peri-implantares.
Rehabilitation of atrophic maxillae is a challenge to surgeons and prosthodontics. Several techniques have been suggested, being zygomatic fixtures efficient and showing low morbidity. The aim of this paper is to report a case of one with zygoma fixtures inserted through a minimally invasive approach, reducing the need for mucogingival detachment and at the same time protecting the peri-implant soft tissue.
