Crianças em acolhimento institucional: dificuldades e possibilidades para a reinserção familiar / Institutionalized children: difficulties and possibilities for family reintegration

Este artigo investigou as dificuldades e possibilidades no processo de reinserção familiar de crianças de zero a sete anos que estiveram acolhidas em uma instituição no período de junho de 2015 a julho de 2016, em Belém/PA. Para a coleta de dados utilizou-se o formulário de caracterização da criança e a ficha de reintegração familiar, por meio da pesquisa documental. Os dados foram analisados quantitativamente por meio da estatística descritiva. Os resultados apontam que é urgente a necessidade da produção de estudos que abordem a reinserção a fim de contribuir na reflexão da prática das instituições de acolhimento e o aprimoramento das políticas públicas.

This article investigated the difficulties and possibilities in the family reintegration process of children from zero to seven years old who were admitted to an institution from June 2015 to July 2016, in Belém / PA. For the data collection, the child's characterization form and the family reintegration form were used, through documentary research. Data were quantitatively analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicate that there is an urgent need to produce studies that address reinsertion in order to contribute to the reflection of the practice of the host institutions and the improvement of public policies.

Metas e estratégias de socialização de pais e avós de crianças em acolhimento institucional / Goals and strategies of socialization of parents and grandparents of children in institutional care

Estudos mostram que metas e estratégias de socialização são conhecimentos, valores e padrões de comportamento que cuidadores esperam que suas crianças apresentem quando adultas. O estudo objetivou conhecer as metas e estratégias de socialização de 30 pais e 30 avós de crianças em acolhimento institucional. A partir de entrevista semiestruturada, as respostas com frases ou palavras de mesmo sentido foram agrupadas e organizadas em categorias. Nos dois grupos, prevaleceram metas de socialização voltadas ao desenvolvimento pessoal, tais como "ser estudioso", "ter uma boa profissão". As estratégias mais mencionadas pelos participantes foram "estudar" e "ter amor e carinho da família". Foram observadas diferenças nas metas de socialização emitidas por pais e avós no que se refere à importância dada por eles às relações familiares para o desenvolvimento infantil, mesmo quando a criança, como é o caso da população pesquisada, foi afastada do convívio com os pais ou outro responsável como uma medida de proteção sociojurídica

Studies show that socialization goals and strategies are knowledge, values and behavior patterns that caregivers hope their children show in adulthood. The objective of this study was to compare socialization and strategies of 30 parents and grandparents of children in Institutional Care. From semi-structured interviews, the answers with phrases or words of the same meaning were grouped and organized into categories. In both groups, socialization goals geared to personal development such as "be studious", "have a good profession" prevailed. The most mentioned strategies by the participants were "to study" and "have family love and affection." Differences were observed in the socialization goals issued by parents and grandparents in terms of the importance given by them to family relationships as regards children's development, even when the child, as in the case of the surveyed population, was removed from living with parents or with another person responsible for him/her as a measure of protection
