RESUMO

Objective:To investigate the prevalence of depression symptoms in residents, and to analyze the demographic characteristics, training status and psychological influencing factors in order to provide the evidence for the mental health management and intervention of residents in China at current stage. Methods:A total of 1 050 participants from eight different training centers in Shenyang, Dalian, Jinzhou and Fushun of Liaoning Province were investigated by Pittsburgh sleep quality index, International physical activity questionnaire, Survey of perceived organizational support, Psychological capital questionnaire and Minnesota satisfaction questionnaire, which covered questions including social demographic information, training information, sleep status, physical activity, organization support, psychological capital, job satisfaction and depressive symptoms of residents. SPSS 22.0 were used to carry out statistical analysis such as logistic regression. Results:A total of 962 valid questionnaires were collected and the results showed that 44.59% (429/962) of residents had depressive symptoms. High training grade ( ORPGY-3=1.775, P=0.006) and poor quality of sleep ( OR=1.662, P<0.001) were risk factors of depressive symptoms, whereas psychological capital ( OR=0.962, P<0.001) and job satisfaction ( OR=0.972, P=0.001) were protective factors of depressive symptoms. Conclusion:The prevalence of depressive symptoms is high in residents. Training grade, sleep quality, psychological capital and job satisfaction are closely associated with the high prevalence of depressive symptoms, which should be paid more attention to.

RESUMO

Background/Aims@#The incidence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is increasing annually. Studies have suggested that psychosocial disorders may be linked to the development of GERD. However, studies evaluating the association between psychosocial disorders and GERD have been inconsistent. Thus, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies that evaluated the association between psychosocial disorders and GERD. @*Methods@#We systematically searched the PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, and Web of Science databases until October 17, 2020. Pooled OR with 95% CI and subgroup analyses were calculated using a random-effects model. Subgroup analyses were performed to identify thesources of heterogeneity. Sensitivity analysis by one-study removal was used to test the robustness of our results. @*Results@#This meta-analysis included 1 485 268 participants from 9 studies. Studies using psychosocial disorders as the outcome showed that patients with GERD had a higher incidence of psychosocial disorders compared to that in patients without GERD (OR, 2.57; 95% CI, 1.87-3.54; I2 = 93.8%; P < 0.001). Studies using GERD as an outcome showed an association between psychosocial disorders and an increased risk of GERD (OR, 2.23; 95% CI, 1.42-3.51; I2 = 97.1%; P < 0.001). The results of the subgroup analysis showed that the non-erosive reflux disease group had a higher increased risk of anxiety than erosive reflux disease group (OR, 9.45; 95% CI, 5.54-16.13; I2 = 12.6%; P = 0.285). @*Conclusion@# @*Results@#of our meta-analysis showed that psychosocial disorders are associated with GERD; there is an interaction between the two.

RESUMO

ObjectiveTo study the chemical structure of gardenia blue pigment and its inhibitory activity against monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B), in order to seek a potential feasible way for rational utilization and value enhancement of iridoids in Gardeniae Fructus. MethodIridoid glycosides in Gardeniae Fructus were hydrolyzed by cellulase to obtain their aglycones and reacted with amino acids. Then, the products were purified by column chromatography packed with D101 macroporous resin and preparative liquid chromatography to obtain gardenia blue pigments, and the gardenia blue pigments were identified by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS). Benzylamine was used as the reaction substrate of MAO-B and in vitro incubated with gardenia blue pigment monomers, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was employed to determine the production of benzaldehyde for evaluating the inhibitory effect of gardenia blue pigments on MAO-B, the mobile phase was methanol (A) -50 mmol·L-1 potassium phosphate buffer (B, pH 3.2) (2∶3), and the detection wavelength was 245 nm. ResultEight compounds of gardenia blue pigment A-H were synthesized and identified. In MAO-B inhibition test, compared with geniposide, the inhibitory activity of gardenia blue pigment D and E was significantly enhanced (P<0.05). Compared with the 6β-hydroxygeniposide, the inhibitory activity of gardenia blue pigment G and H was significantly enhanced (P<0.05, P<0.01). All the four gardenia blue pigments showed better MAO-B inhibitory activity than the prototype compounds. ConclusionGardenia blue pigment is a simple compound formed by one molecule of amino acid and one molecule of iridoid. Some gardenia blue pigments have better MAO-B inhibitory activity than the prototype compounds. The activity of gardenia blue pigment produced by different substrates is different, and the high-value gardenia blue pigment can be prepared based on experimental optimization, which can expand the application range of gardenia blue pigment and enrich the comprehensive utilization of iridoids from Gardeniae Fructus.

RESUMO

Four new 3, 4-seco-labdane diterpenoids, nudiflopenes J-M, were isolated from the leaves of Callicarpa nudiflora along with six known compounds. The structures of these diterpenoids were determined by comprehensive spectroscopic analysis. All the isolated compounds were evaluated for their inhibitory effects on NO production in LPS-stimulated RPMs and RAW264.7 cells. The results suggest that nudiflopenes J-M and other four known compounds showed significant inhibitory effects against NO production comparable to the positive control dexamethasone.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of thoracic duct ligation during transthoracic esophagectomy on preventing post-operative chylothorax in different tumor locations.

METHODSBetween March 2003 and June 2007, 243 patients with thoracic esophageal carcinoma underwent esophageal resection in our hospital. All the cases were divided into five groups according to tumor localization, including cervical, upper middle, middle, lower middle and lower sections. Each was then subdivided into 2 groups: with and without intraoperative thoracic duct ligation. Statistical analysis was carried out to evaluate the relevance between ligation and non-ligation of the thoracic duct during esophagectomy and the incidence of post-operative chylothorax.

RESULTSA total of 8 cases of post-operative chylothorax was recorded and the incidence was 3.3%. Incidence with respect to tumor location was as follows: cervical section: ligation subgroup 3 cases and non-ligation subgroup 5 cases; upper middle section: no one for both ligation and non-ligation subgroups; middle section: ligation subgroup 0/26 and non-ligation subgroup 1/28 (3.6%); lower middle section: ligation subgroup 1/39 (2.6%) and non-ligation subgroup 1/35 (2.9%); lower section: ligation subgroup 1/37 (2.7%) and non-ligation subgroup 2/44 (4.5%). Logistic regression analysis revealed no significant difference between ligation and non-ligation subgroup in the prevention of post-operative chylothorax (P>0.05).

CONCLUSIONThoracic duct ligation as preventive measure can not decrease the incidence of chylothorax secondary to esophagectomy.
