RESUMO

Objective To analyze the incidence and risk factors of de novo malignant tumors in renal transplant recipients. Methods Clinical data of 1 549 renal transplant recipients were retrospectively analyzed, including the basic status, pathological type and incidence rate of patients with de novo malignant tumors after renal transplantation. The survival situation of these patiensts was assessed. And the risk factors of de novo malignant tumors after renal transplantation were identified. Results The incidence rate of de novo malignant tumors in renal transplant recipients was 3.03%(47/1 549). The 47 recipients were (48±12) years old when undergoing renal transplantation, and they were (55±12) years old when diagnosed malignant tumors. The time interval between transplantation and diagnosis was 66 (36, 100) months. Among the de novo malignant tumors, colorectal cancer was the most common, with a cumulative incidence rate (CIR) of 0.58%. The survival time of 47 recipients with de novo malignant tumors after renal transplantation was 59 (2, 135) months, and the 5-year survival rate was 50%. The recipients with the age > 45 years old when undergoing renal transplantation was a risk factor for de novo malignant tumors after renal transplantation (P < 0.05). Conclusions The incidence rate of de novo malignant tumors is relatively high in renal transplant recipients. The recipients with the age > 45 years old when undergoing renal transplantation is a risk factor for de novo malignant tumors.

RESUMO

Literature of TCM contains abundant information of Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine information is characterized by its high degree of knowledge-intensive and complex inter-knowledge, so it is difficult to integrate and share knowledge. TheShanghanlun is one of the Chinese medical classics, and it includes the rules and methods of syndrome differentiation and treatment and it showed good effects in the clinical application. However, it is difficult to master for beginners. As a kind of knowledge organization tool, topic maps can flexibly define the relationship between knowledge, which realizes the visualization of knowledge network, and integrates and shares the distributed knowledge. This paper focused on the current situation of topic maps researches. The topic maps was used to organize the original content ofShanghanlun, construct the concept model of it and explore the specific application of topic maps technology in the field of traditional Chinese medicine.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND:Knee osteoarthritis is characterized by inreversible pathological changes, belonging to arthragia syndrome. The goal of the treatment is to release or relieve symptoms and delay joint degeneration. Jianxi Qianggu Pil is an empirical formula developed by the Third People’s Hospital of Jingzhou, School of Basic Medical Science, Wuhan University, China. This prescription can nourish liver and kidney, eliminate wind and disperse cold, expel wet and dredge the col aterals, consolidate bone and reinforce knee. OBJECTIVE:To observe the protective effect of Jianxi Qianggu Pil on joint cartilage and expression of bone morphogenetic protein 7 in rabbits with knee osteoarthritis. METHODS:A total of 36 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into three groups, with 12 ones in each. The involved rabbits were applied to establish the model of knee osteoarthritis by using the modified Hulth’s method. At 6 weeks after modeling, the drug group was given 0.1 g/kg Jianxi Qianggu Pil via intragastric administration, while model group and normal control group received equal volume of saline. At 4 weeks after drug administration, rabbit articular cartilage was evaluated with Mankin’s scoring method. The cartilage morphology was observed under electron microscopy, and bone morphogenetic protein 7 expression was detected using immunohistochemistry. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The pathological degeneration degree of articular cartilage in the drug group was significantly lighter, and bone morphogenetic protein 7 expression was significantly higher than the other two groups (P<0.05). Experimental findings indicate that, Jianxi Qianggu Pil can promote the expression of bone morphogenetic protein 7 in articular cartilage of knee osteoarthritis rabbits, thereby promoting articular cartilage regeneration and reducing cartilage deformation or necrosis for the treatment of arthritis.

RESUMO

The statistical data on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has not been fully exploited, resulting in the gap between the storage and usage of the TCM statistical data resources. The study on the retrospective collection, arrangement and application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Statistical Data aims to enhance the usage of TCM statistical data, basing on the collection and arrangement of the authoritative TCM statistical data, common analysis of the TCM statistical data from the founding of the People Republic of China.A pilot TCM Statistics Information Database and a TCM Health Statistics Data Query System have been established with the computer database technology, the object-oriented programming tool (C#) and the Internet Browser-based presentation programming tool (ASP. Net), providing the initial functions of the data retrieval and the graphical presentation of the search results on TCM statistics data. This paper explores "statistical data-oriented with attributes description" as the idea to establish the statistical database of complex statistical data, with the solution of the data problems such as numerous of data, diverse of data units, lack of regularity and hard to be classified. The study realizes the building of TCM Statistics Information Database and the retrieval finction of TCM statistical data, which lays a foundation on the building of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Statistics Database and the information services of TCM statistics data in the future.
