RESUMO

Peritoneal dialysis is a recognized renal replacement therapy. Long term peritoneal dialysis will lead to changes in the morphology and function of the peritoneum, that is, peritoneal fibrosis, which is a known cause of the loss of peritoneal ultrafiltration capacity. Pyroptosis is a special type of soluble programmed cell death, characterized by cell swelling, rupture, secretion of cell contents and significant proinflammatory effect. The pyroptosis can be divided into typical and atypical pathways, and the inflammatory body of NOD like receptor heat protein domain related protein 3 (NLRP3) is the most important initiator. Current evidence shows that high glucose peritoneal dialysis fluid can induce peritoneal Mesothelium to scorch, and the inflammation and cell damage caused by it can aggravate the progress of peritoneal fibrosis. Different signal pathways have been proved to regulate the occurrence of pyroptosis. The latest research has proved that some potential targeted methods to inhibit pyroptosis can effectively inhibit the inflammation of peritoneal mesothelium and alleviate peritoneal fibrosis. This article mainly discusses the molecular mechanism of pyroptosis and the relationship between pyroptosis and peritoneal fibrosis.

RESUMO

Objective@#To investigate the perceptions towards preoperative assessment of the elderly patients undergoing elective surgery among surgical nurses, providing scientific basis for standardizing preoperative assessment.@*Methods@#Eleven nurses were chosen in surgical ward. Data were collected by using semi-structured in-depth interviews and were analyzed with the Colaizzi method.@*Results@#Four themes were extracted: Necessity of surgical nurses for preoperative assessment of elderly patients undergoing elective surgery; Perceptions towards the contents of preoperative assessment; Current status of preoperative assessment; Suggestions for preoperative assessment.@*Conclusions@#Surgical nurses play an important role in preoperative assessment of elderly patients undergoing elective surgery and they emphasize the comprehensive preoperative assessment contents. However, comprehensive geriatric assessment is rarely used, lacking of uniform and standard criteria. We suggest to standardize preoperative assessment, improving the implementation rate and perioperative care, thus promoting rehabilitation.

RESUMO

Objective To discuss the MRI features of testicular torsion, and to improve the clinical and imaging understanding. Methods 8 cases of testicular torsion confirmed by surgery and pathology were included in this study, the MRI signs and clinical data were compared and analyzed.2 underwent MRI conventional scan,6 underwent both MRI conventional and enhanced scan. Results The median age of testicular torsion male patients was 16.7 years, attack time 4.0-24.0 h.In MRI,there were 6 cases(75.0%)with testis and epididymis volume augmented,2 cases(25.0%)with increase of testicular signal strength in T1WI sequence,4 cases(50.0%) with decrease of testicular signal strength in T2WI sequence,8 cases(100.0%)with tortuosity, enlargement, nodules of spermatic cord,6 cases(75.0%)with decreased enhancement in testis and epididymis. Conclusion Tortuosity, enlargement of spermatic cord and decreased enhancement in testis and epididymis are the MRI features of testicular torsion.

RESUMO

Objective To reveal the mechanisms of immunological infertility, the method of coimmunoprecipitation(CO-IP) and liquid chromatogram mass/mass (LC-MS/MS) was used to screen sperm membrane proteins which interacting with antisperm antibodies (ASA).Methods This study was designed as a case-control.The disease group including 56 serum samples from 521 cryptogenic infertile patients were screened ASA positive by ELISA and conformed with mixed antiglobulin reaction(MAR).The controls were 31 serum samples which ASA is negative and already possessed healthy offspring. All subjects were enrolled from September 2015 to December 2015 in China PLA General Hospital.Spermatozoa samples from 48donors with normal sperm parameters were from January 2016 to April 2016 in China PLA General Hospital. The purified human sperm membrane proteins were then mixed with serum from disease group (positive for ASA) and control group (not containing ASA).The binding proteins of antisperm antibodies were enriched using CO-IP assay. The immunoprecipitates were separated on sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyactylamide gel (SDS-PAGE),then the binding proteins were cut from the gel and analyzed by LC-MS/MS after the enzymolysis. These proteins could bc idcntified as definition, biological function (s) and subccllular localization with Uniprot database. Results The serum samples from infertile persons (39 females and 17males) were screened ASA positive by ELISA and conformed with MAR.The healthy controls (17 females and 14 males) were ASA-negative in ELISA.Forty proteins that interact with ASA were obtained from the study and these could be divided into three groups:11 antigens detected by control serum samples only,14antigens recognised by both infertile patients and control sera, and 15 antigens specific for patients with ASA.These 15 proteins are Sperm Cation channcl protein 1,Sperm Cation channel protein 3,Sperm Cation channel protein 4,Sperm associated antigen 9,Apolipoprotein A-I,Dynein heavy chain 14,Cylicin-2,Izumo sperm-egg fusion protein 4,Thioredoxin domain-containing protein 2,IQ domain-containing protein H,IQ domain-containing protein F1,Spermatogenesis-associated protein 5,Spermatogenesis-associated protein 5-like protein 1,Sperm acrosome membrane-associated protein 1,E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RNF 114.Conclusion Fifteen proteins discovered with CO-IP technology and LC-MS/MS analysis could be referred as male immunoinfertility-related antigens and they may hold the great importance in revealing the secret of immunological infertility.
