RESUMO

Objective To explore the value of diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) in combination with susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) in prognosis prediction of traumatic axonal injury (TAI).Methods A retrospective study of 75 patients with TAI was performed to analyze the clinical data and the follow-up prognosis in the 6 months after injury. The detection rate of TAI lesion by DWI,SWI and conventional MRI was compared.Multiple factors analysis applied logistic regression analysis to analyze the relationship between associated factors and prognosis. Results The average detected TAI lesions were (19.92 ± 8.62) by DWI and (22.17 ± 11.72) by SWI,which had no significant differences (t=1.24,P>0.05),but there was a significant difference bettween by conventional MRI and by DWI or SWI (all P<0.05).DWI was more sensitive to non-hemorrhagic lesions and SWI was more sensitive to hemorrhagic lesions. However, the lesions revealed by them existed the overlap of location and pathology of lesions.Patients with poor outcomes had more number of central lesions than those patient with good outcomes (t=2.455,P< 0.05).Logistic regression analysis revealed that the predictive accuracy provided by the combination with imaging and clinical factors was 95.7 %.Conclusions DWI and SWI both are sensitive to TAI lesions, and have ability to detect the lesions with different pathological characteristics, separately.Accurate prognosis prediction for patients with TAI may be provided by the combination of clinical and imaging factors.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To study the analgesic effect of total flavonoids of propolis(TFP)and its mechanism.METH?ODS:The analgesic effect test is performed by formaldehyde method,hot-plate method, warm bath method and writhing method. The mice were randomly divided into normal saline(NS)control group, morphine positive control group and different dosage of TFP group, each pain index under each experiment condition was determined after intragastric administration of each group of mice.RESULTS:Compared with the NS control group,TFP group showed a decreased scoring in pain reaction(15min later),reduced writhing response(50,100mg/kg),prolonged latent phases of foot licking(50,100mg/kg)and tail-shrinking(50mg/kg),significant decrease of the content of malonaldehyde,prostaglandin-2and NO in mice'blood serum and brain tissue.CONCLUSION:TFP have notable analgesic effect, the mechanism may be related to its function on inhibiting prostaglandin-2and lipid peroxidation and reducing the release of NO releasing of brain tissue.

RESUMO

The head injury patients is very common in clinic and it is complicated to cure them.Furthermore, many ethical questions are involved during the treatment, which are discussed in the article. The aim is to be helpful to protect both patients'and medical staff's right, reduce medical disputes and form a good relationship between doctors and patients from the view of ethics.Accordingly, the patients of head injury will acquire better treatment.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the effects of tea polysaccharides (TPS) on blood lipids and liver trace elements in hyperlipidemic rats. Method The hyperlipidemic rats were treated by gavage with tea polysaccharides of three purities, named TPS I, TPS II, and TPS III at 27.43%,57.82%,and 89.50% purity, respectively for 4 w. Then the rats were killed and the influence of TPS on concentrations of total cholesterol (TC)、triglyceride (TG)、low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), malondialdehyde (MDA) in blood serum, and Ca,Fe,Zn,Cu and Mg ion in liver were determined. Results The TC and MDA concentrations in blood serum of the experimental rats decreased significantly(P
