Hernia hiatal paraesofágica: a propósito de un caso / Paraesophageal hiatal hernia: a case report

Se presenta un caso de aparición poco frecuente, atendido en la consulta de Gastroenterología del Hospital Provincial Dr Antonio Luaces Iraola de Ciego de Ávila. Se trata de una paciente femenina, de 67 años de edad, que acude a consulta con dolor en epigastrio que aumenta con la ingestión de alimentos, pirosis postpandrial, vómitos frecuentes y ocasionalmente falta de aire, el examen físico fue totalmente negativo. Se realizaron estudios pertinentes y se arribó al diagnóstico de Hernia Hiatal Paraesofágica. Se realizó cirugía por vía abdominal se logró la reparación del hiato esofágico y se realizó funduplicatura gástrica.

A case of little frequent sappearance is presented, taken care of Gastroenterology service from Provincial Hospital Dr Antonio Luaces Iraola in Ciego de Avila. A feminine patient, of 67 years of age, that goes to consultation with epigastrium pain that increase with food ingestion, postprandrial pyrosis, frequent vomiting and occasionally lack of air, the physical examination was negative. Pertinent studies were carried out and it was arrived at the diagnosis of Paraesophageal Hiatal Hernia. Abdominal Surgery achieving the repair of the esophageal hiatus and gastric fundoplication were carried out.

Tumores estromales: a propósito de un caso / Stromal tumors: apropos of a case

Se presenta un caso de aparición poco frecuente atendido en el Departamento de Gastroenterología del Hospital Provincial Docente Dr Antonio Luaces Iraola de Ciego de Ávila. Se trata de una paciente femenina, 73 años de edad, que acude a consulta con vómitos frecuentes, de contenido bilioso, sobre todo después de la ingestión de alimentos, cambios en el hábito intestinal y síndrome general marcado, y al examen físico se palpa en abdomen una masa de aspecto T en región hipogástrica, grande, no dolorosa a la palpación, movible. Se realizaron estudios pertinentes y se arribó al diagnóstico de tumor de intestino delgado. Se realizó cirugía abdominal con exéresis del tumor, se realiza el estudio histológico y se obtiene el diagnóstico tumor del estroma intestinal fusocelular.

It's a female patient, 73 years of age, who comes to consultation with frequent vomiting of bilious content, especially after the ingestion of food, changes in bowel habit and marked general syndrome, and a mass of T aspect in hypogastric region is palpable in abdomen to the physical examination, big, not painful to palpation, movable. Relevant studies were carried out and tumor of small intestine was the diagnosis. Abdominal surgery with exeresis of the tumor was coductive, The histological study is carried out and gets the diagnostic spindle-cell intestinal stromal tumor.
