As manifestações cutâneas durante a gravidez correspondem a alterações fisiológicas, dermatoses próprias do período gestacional e dermatoses influenciadas pela gravidez. O uso de drogas durante a gravidez é freqüente e cabe ao obstetra informar à paciente sobre os riscos inerentes a cada droga e, junto com a gestante, optar ou não por seu uso. Faz-se necessária a produção de evidências que substanciem as condutas clínicas. Objetivou-se, com a presente revisão, abordar o tratamento das principais dermatoses próprias do período gestacional e dermatoses influenciadas pela gravidez e os principais medicamentos utilizados com seus prováveis efeitos adversos, demonstrando que o tratamento dessas doenças deve considerar os riscos e benefícios para a mãe e o concepto. A prescrição durante a gravidez e lactação deve ser segura e sempre respaldada por conhecimento científico específico.

The cutaneous manifestations of pregnancy can correpond to physiologic changes, specific pregnancy dermatoses and dermatoses influenced by pregnancy. Drugs are usually prescribed during pregnancy and the obstetrician has the responsibility to advise about potential maternal-fetal risks of drugs usage and decide with the patient whether or not it will be used. There is need for scientific evidence to support clinical decisions. The aim of this revision is to show the treatment of the main specific pregnancy dermatoses and dermatoses influenced by pregnancy and the adverse effects of the most prescribed drugs during pregnancy. It was also aimed to demonstrate that treatment of any of these diseases must consider the risks and benefits for the mother and the fetus and that presciption during pregnancy and lactation has to be safe and supported on a scientific background.
