Research progress of suffering assessment tools for palliative care patients / 中国实用护理杂志

Suffering is prevalent in the palliative care population and is an important factor affecting the quality of life of palliative care patients and their family caregivers. In this paper, we review the assessment content, measurement methods, current application status and advantages and disadvantages of suffering assessment tools for palliative care patients, analyze the problems of current suffering assessment tools for palliative care patients and make suggestions, aiming to provide reference for palliative suffering treatment in China.

A hemodynamic and hemolysis study of the axial pump with hydrodynamic-magnetically levitated impeller in swine / 中华胸心血管外科杂志

Objective To explore the in-vivo hemodynamic and hemolysis effect of a newly designed axial continuousflow ventricular assist device(VAD) in swine.Methods Under general anesthesia,each of 5 swine [weight (40.0 ± 5.2)kg] was implanted with the axial continuous-flow VAD into the apex of left heart ventricle,and the outflow graft was anastomosised to descending aorta.Results All of the axial continuous-flow VAD were implanted successfully with post-operative survival rate 100％.All 5 animals survived over one week.There was a positive correlation between pump speed and assistance effect.The mean left ventricular systolic pressure was (131.6 ± 28.0) mmHg(1 mmHg =0.133 kPa).While the axial continuous-flow VAD was working,left ventricular end diastolic pressure decreased,along with mean intraventricular pressure declined.Peripheral hemodynamics was stable and peripheral blood pressure was not remarkably different from the pressure preoperation.Daily urine volume was in normal range within 1 week post operation.Free hemoglobin in plasma was slightly elevated on the surgery day,and gradually dropped to normal level within 1 week.International Normalized Ratio(INR) was maintained between 2.0-2.5 with oral adminiatration of warfarin of 3 mg/day.There was no thrombosis existing in VAD at autopsy.Conclusion The application of the axial pump with hydrodynamic-magnetically levitated impeller in animal experiment can provide stable hemodynamics,advanced heart unloaded effect,favorable peripheral perfusion,and blood compatibility is satisfactory.

Comparison of escitalopram with citalopram in treatment of depression / 中国医师杂志

Objective To evaluate efficacy and safety of escitalopram in treating depression .Methods In this randomized , single-blind, citalopram parallel controlled, fixed dosage study, the study group was treated with escitalopram tablet 10mg/d and the control group with citalopram tablet 20mg/d.Observation duration was 6 weeks.Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression ( 17-item HAMD),Clinical Global Impression (CGI) and Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HAMA) were used to measure the efficacy.Items including Treatment Emergent Symptoms Scale (TESS), lab examination and vital signs for assessment of safety .Results Eighty-eight patients were randomly divided into study group (43 patients) and control group (45 patients).After 6 weeks treatment, a signif-icant greater reduction in HAMD 17 ,CGI-SI and HAMA total score was found for both study group and control group showing significant difference with their baseline ( P 0.05 ) .However , after 1 week treatment , the HAMD17 and CGI-SI score reductions between two groups were significant difference ( P 0.05 ) .In study group , the positive response rates was 81.4%,and in controls was 80.8%, there was no significant difference between two groups ( P >0.05 ) .There was no significant difference about the incidence of adverse reaction between two groups ( P >0.05 ) .Conclusions Escitalopram is a safe and effective antidepressant as citalopram , however , it has a more rapid reaction than the latter .

Effect of Aversion Therapy with Furazolidone on Patients with Alcohol Dependence / 中国康复理论与实践

@# Objective To observe the effect and safety of the aversion therapy with furazolidone on patients with alcohol dependence.Methods 90 patients with alcohol dependence were randomly divided into the aversion therapy group and the control group with 45 cases in each group. The cases of the aversion therapy group were treated by aversion therapy with furazolidone and those of the control group were treated with routine therapy. The changes of the blood pressure, pulse and respiratory rate before and after drinking were observed and the rate of successful abstinence in one year was investigated.Results The effect of the aversion therapy group treated with furazolidone was significantly better than that of the control group ( P<0.05). The aversion therapy was safe.Conclusion The aversion therapy with furazolidone is more effective and safe.

Symptom Checklist 90 profile of women during peri-menopause / 中国康复理论与实践

@#ObjectiveTo investigate the psychological state and distribution of emotional symptoms of women during peri-menopause.Methods56 women with some emotional disorder (sick group) and 37 women without emotional symptom (control group) peri-menopause were measured with Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90).ResultsThe scores of total, quantity of positive items,average of positive,somatic factor,compulsion,depression and anxiety,phobia in sick group were more than that of control group significantly.ConclusionWomen during peri-menopause present serious emotional disorder mainly in somatization, compulsion,depression, anxiety and phobia.

This essay introduces the new development of rotary impeller blood pump technology in three design aspects, i.e. pump structure, bearing and seal, control system. Moreover, an expectation for the development trend of artificial heart technology is presented.

Forecasting system on spatial coverage of cumulative phenotypic frequency of HLA class Ⅰ for designing HLA-based vaccines in China / 免疫学杂志

Objective To build the forecasting system on spatial coverage of cumulative phenotypic frequency (CPF) of HLA- Ⅰ for designing HLA-based vaccines (epitopes or DNA vaccines) and evaluating their effects in China. Methods The spatial database of HLA- Ⅰgenes of Chinese (across the land of China) was set up, and then the spatial forecasting system of CPF was designed using Kriging technique.Results Using this spatial forecasting system, the vaccine designer could predict the spatial coverage of CPF for any combination of the alleles confined to a single class Ⅰ locus, either HLA-A or HLA-B, as well as for any combination of alleles at these two loci of each given population at any geographical location across the land of China. Conclusions This system is applicable in the following rields: ①To provide for the identification of alleles that represent a desired percentage of populations across the land of China and that can be targeted for vaccine composition. ② To predict the theoretical responder status of vaccines whose HLA restricted epitopes have already been known in given population at any geographical location across the land of China. (③) To identify how many individuals will be non-responders to a HLA-based vaccine across the land of China.

Affection of guiding vane on axial flow pump heart assist device and its clinical relevancy / 医疗卫生装备

Objective To observe the response of the guiding vane to axial flow pump by testing two types of miniature axial flow pump,which have been developed by our group in recent years.Methods Two types of axial flow pump were tested in a mock circulation apparatus.Results The outputs of the two types of miniature axial flow pump all attain 5L/min against the pressure of 13.332kPa,which is enough for left ventricular assistance.The outputs are similarly related to their pre-load and after-load pressure.In this study,the guiding vane does not produce a significant affection on the hydrodynamic characteristic of the axial follow pump.Conclusion The guiding vane may be neglected in the design to improve the blood compatibility of a axial flow pump heart assist device.

药物注射配合强化训练对颅脑损伤患者运动功能的影响 / 中国康复理论与实践

@#目的探讨药物注射配合强化训练对颅脑损伤患者运动功能的影响。方法将60例住院颅脑损伤患者随机分为治疗组(30例)和对照组(30例)。治疗组在常规综合康复治疗基础上加用针对性药物注射治疗及强化训练,而对照组单纯采用康复治疗。两个疗程(20天/疗程)后,采用Fugl- Meyer运动功能量表评定两组的治疗效果。结果两组患者的运动功能均有改善 ,但治疗组的改善程度明显优于对照组(P<0.01)。结论药物注射配合强化训练能够明显改善颅脑损伤患者的运动功能。

Study on Extraction Technique of Biyanning Granules / 中国药房

OBJECTIVE:To find out the optimal extraction technique for Biyanning granulesMETHODS:According to the orthogonal design L9(34),the optimal extraction technique was sought through experimental investigation,and the content of the imperatorin in Radix Angelicae Dahuricae,a main herb in Biyanning granules,was determined by HPLCRESULTS:With the optimal extraction method,the extraction rate of the imperatorin in Biyanning granules was 5766%CONCLUSION:The results indicates that the extraction technique which we found out is optimal and feasible in extraction of Biyanning granules

Cytochemical study on glucose-6-phosphatase activity in skeletal muscle cells in rats / 第三军医大学学报

Glucose-6-phosphatase (G6Pase) activity in the skeletal muscle cells was observed with electron microscope in rats.It was found that the reaction product of G6Pase activity was localized in the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) and nuclear envelope and a heterogenous distribution of G6Pase activity in the SR was shown.On the basis of the position relationship between SR and sarcolemmal system,the skeletal couplings can be classified as follows.1.The coupling between the terminal cisternae and the transverse tubules such as a triad.2.The peripheral coupling between the peripheral SR and the surface sarcolemma.3.The coupling between the subsarcolemmal SR and the subsarcolemmaltransverse tubules.The significance of the findings was discussed.
