RESUMO

OBJECTIVETo explore the method repairing the infra-orbital defect after basal cell carcinoma resection.

METHODA facial rotation flap was applied to repair the infra-orbital defects from tumor resection in 28 cases.

RESULTAll defects were repaired by this one-stage method, which avoided skin graft, shortened the operation time and minimized the operation trauma. The incision sears are inconspicuous. The facial contours are more satisfactory.

CONCLUSIONThis technique is simple and effective in repairing the infra-orbital defects, worthy of extensive application.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the methodology of repairing secondary nasal deformity of congenital unilateral cleft lip after operation and clinical outcome of the patients. Methods The repairing operation were performed in 46 cases,in which polyterafluoroethylene (PTFE) implants were inserted into a pocket under the nasal dorsum, ala or base through a small incision. Results The flat nasal dorsa, tips and hollow nosal base were elevated. The profile view of noses was improved apparently. The outcome was satisfactory. Conclusion PTFE is a optimal plastic material, which is compatible perfectly with circumferential tissues. The outcome of filling is excellent. Therefore, this technique is one of the efficient methods to repair secondarynasal deformity of unilateral cleft lip.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate a simple, valuable new method for coverage of the soft tissue defect over the lower one-third of the leg, ankle and the foot. Methods The distally based peroneus brevis muscle flaps were applied for coverage of the soft tissue defects over the lower one-third of the leg, the ankle and the foot. The muscle flaps were covered with split-thickness skin grafts. Results The distally based peroneus brevis muscle flaps were applied for coverage of the soft tissue defects over the lower one-third of the leg, the ankle and the foot in 16 cases. The largest area of the soft tissue defect was 5 cm?7 cm. The smallest was 3 cm?4 cm. Primary healing occured in 14 cases undergoing muscle flap construction, second-stage healing occured in 2 cases, no total flap necrosis occured in any cases. Conclusion This technigue is a simple and complications are lesser. The successful rates are higher. This muscle flap is suitable to the mudium or small soft tissue defect especially.
