RESUMO

Objective To investigate the improve effects of environmental enrichment on maternal behavior in the adult female rats thatexperienced early-life stress, and to explore the molecular biological mechanism. Methods The newborn Wistar rats were divided into two groups randomly, the early life stress group and the control group.Pups from the former were separated from their mothers once per day for 4 hours from PND 2-21 (day of birth was considered PND =0),and suffered vicious stimulus during the daily 4 hours maternal separation from PND 8-21.On PND 22(weaning),pups from the early life stress group were divided into two groups:12 female pups were reared singly, refered to as isolated-rearing group; another 12 were placed in a big cage that was filled with all sorts of rodents toys, refered to as enriched-rearing group; control female pups were placed in groups of 4 per cage.Mating with male rats when female pups reached PND66,then being placed in cages singly when they were detected pregnant.Maternal behavior was evaluated on the second and sixth day after delivery, and the hypothalamic OTR mRNA levels were examined by RT-PCR.Results The results of maternal behavior observation showed that the total time of retrieve and the latency of licking were significantly longer in isolated-rearing rats compared with the normal and the enriched-rearing rats (P < 0.01) ; total time of licking in enriched-rearing rats was longer than the normal and the isolated-rearing rats(P<0.01) on the sixth day after delivery;and the score of the nest building was obviously lower in isolated-rearing rats, especially on the sixth day after delivery(P < 0.01).Hypothalamic OTR mRNA levels in the isolated-rearing rats showed strongly decreased compared with the normal rats(P<0.01),but which close to normal levels in enriched-rearing rats. Conclusion Early life stress can damage some components of maternal behavior, such as retrieval, licking, nest building, but it has no obvious effect on crouching behavior; it also decreases the hypothalamic OTR mRNA levels of the adult female rats; as a kind of early environmental intervention,groups-rearing could make hypothalamic OTR mRNA levels of the female rats that subjected to early life stress restore to normal, and thus reverse the disruptions of stress in maternal behavior.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the value of ischemia modified albumin (IMA) detection in preliminary diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods The levels and variations of IMA,cTnI and CK-MB in 103 patients with acute chest pain were measured continuously at 0,4,6,12,24 hours after admission respectively.Thirty healthy subjects were observed as normal controls. Results Twenty three patients were diagnosed as AMI in the end,the sensitivity and specificity rates right after admission were 89.3% and91.3% for IMA,48.4% and 92.3% for CK-MB,30.6% and 93.7% for cTnI respectively. The sensitivity values at the 6th hours after admission were 91.3% for IMA,52.2% for CTnI and 34.8% for CK-MB respectively. The specificity was 100.0% when the IMA was detected in combination with CK-MB or cTnI.The sensitivity of co-detection was significantly higher than that any single detection at sixth hours after admission (x2 =15.99,P < 0.01 ).Conclusion Plasma IMA assessment is helpful for early diagnosis of AMI,and will significantly improve the sensitivity early diagnosis of AMI.The co-detection of IMA and CK-MB or cTnI obviously surpasses any single detection, and has extremely vital clinical significance.

RESUMO

Objective To discuss the value of ischemia modified albumin (IMA) in the early diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods The IMA,cTnI, CK-MB and ECG were detected in 103 patients with suspected ACS (45 cases of NICP and 58 cases of ACS) within 5 hours of acute chest pain onset respectively. 30 healthy subjects were served as normal controls. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was used to determine the optimal cutoff of this assay for identifying individuals with ACS from non-ischemic individuals (nonischemic chest pain, NICP). Results of IMA,cTnI,CK-MB and ECG were correlated with the final diagnosis and their diagnostic sensitivities for ACS were evaluated. Results The results suggested that acute phase IMA values between those with ACS and NICP were (89.66 ± 25.82) U/ml, (46.79 ± 17.20) U/ml respectively and showed significant difference. Area under the curve (AUC) of the ROC was 0.935. As the Cut-off point was 71.6 U/ml, the sensitivity, specificity, PPV and NPV of IMA were 90.6%, 71.4% , 82.8% and 83.3%, respectively. The simutanious positive rate of IMA for ischemia origin were 29.3% of cTnI,27.6% of CK-MB and 48.3% of ECG(P< 0.01). Conclusions Plasma IMA assessment is valuable for early diagnosis of acute coronary ischemia, and will improve the early diagnostic sensitivity of ACS significantly.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the value of trauma seore(TS)in emergency care according to anatomy, physiological parameters of patients in order to improve the efficiency of emergency care.Method The injury severity of 1568 patients with trauma admitted to Emergency Department was assessed with TS,and complieations were recorded in Jinshan Branch of Sixth Municipal Hospital Affiliated Shanghai Jiaotong University. The interventions, monitoring and imaging examinations started immediately after admission. Results The lower the TS,the poorer the patient's condition. However, the sensitivity of TS was low in the patients with brain injury, whereas the Glasgow coma score (GCS)was more valuable. The patients with score of 10 or above accounted for 72.39% of patients while 27.61% patients had score of 10 or below.Alout 91.52%patients who had TS above 10 and 8.41% patients who had TS 10 or below survived and were discharged from Emergency Department(both P<0.001).The patients with score of 10 or below had a higher rate of severe complications including hypotension, shock, abnormal respiration and cardiac arrest. The lower the TS,the larger the volume of fluid resuscitation reqired. Conclusions TS is an objective valuein assessing the seriousness of the oatient's condition, which can help doctors quickly deal with the injured patients.Rapid administration of more than 1500 mL of fluid,is especially necessary for the trauma patients with hemontlagic shock in the period of"golden one hour"after injury.

RESUMO

This paper has reviewed the basic characteristics of algae toxins. The effects of several water purification processes on removal of algae toxins from drinking water have been compared and discussed. The processes such as the enhanced pretreatment+conventional treatment, the conventional treatment+activated carbon filter, the conventional treatment+membrane filter are effective in the removal of algae toxins.
