RESUMO

The incidence of tinnitus is very high, which can affect the patient's attention, emotion and sleep, and even cause serious psychological distress and suicidal tendency. Currently, there is no uniform and objective method for tinnitus detection and therapy, and the mechanism of tinnitus is still unclear. In this study, we first collected the resting state electroencephalogram (EEG) data of tinnitus patients and healthy subjects. Then the power spectrum topology diagrams were compared of in the band of δ (0.5-3 Hz), θ (4-7 Hz), α (8-13 Hz), β (14-30 Hz) and γ (31-50 Hz) to explore the central mechanism of tinnitus. A total of 16 tinnitus patients and 16 healthy subjects were recruited to participate in the experiment. The results of resting state EEG experiments found that the spectrum power value of tinnitus patients was higher than that of healthy subjects in all concerned frequency bands. The

RESUMO

Visual fixation is an item in the visual function subscale of the Coma Recovery Scale-Revised (CRS-R). Sometimes clinicians using the behavioral scales find it difficult to detect because of the motor impairment in patients with disorders of consciousness (DOCs). Brain-computer interface (BCI) can be used to improve clinical assessment because it directly detects the brain response to an external stimulus in the absence of behavioral expression. In this study, we designed a BCI system to assist the visual fixation assessment of DOC patients. The results from 15 patients indicated that three showed visual fixation in both CRS-R and BCI assessments and one did not show such behavior in the CRS-R assessment but achieved significant online accuracy in the BCI assessment. The results revealed that electroencephalography-based BCI can detect the brain response for visual fixation. Therefore, the proposed BCI may provide a promising method for assisting behavioral assessment using the CRS-R.

RESUMO

Objective To study the preventive effect of epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG)on hyperoxiainduced bronchopulmonary dysplasia in mice. Methods Eighty-eight Kunming mice born 36-40 hours were randomly divided into four groups:air + saline group (n =22),air + EGCG group (n =22),hyperoxia + saline group(n =22) and hyperoxia + EGCG group(n =22).Drug was administrated once a day by air-driven atomization, till 28 days.Furthermore, the hyperoxia groups were transferred into the room air for recovery after raised in (70 ± 3) % oxygen for 28 days.Lung pathological morphology and homogenization ELISA were performed on the 21th,28th and 49th day.The pathological changes of lung tissue radical alveolar counts(RAC) were observed and the levels of interleukin-2 (IL-2),tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α) and myeloperoxidase(MPO) were measured. Results The levels of IL-2 and TNF-α in the air groups were significantly lower than those in hyperoxia group(IL-2:air(1 760.83 ±303.38)pg/g vs hyperoxia(4 251.00 ±644.07) pg/g;TNF-a:air(4 308.83 ±1 114.91) pg/g vs hyperoxia(8301.83 ± 802.26) pg/g) (P < 0.01),and MPO level decreased in hyperoxia +EG-CG group(7 472.83 ± 1 922)U/g,hyperoxia +NS group(4 767.68 ± 1 110.72)U/g,air + EGCG group(3712.68 ± 734.40)U/g,air + NS group(2 711.68 ± 763.39)U/g(P <0.05).In the hyperoxia groups, though IL-2 on 21th day and TNF-αt on 49th day were no statistic difference in hyperoxia group and air group, the inflammatory factors in EGCG group were lower than in hyperoxia + NS group.Pathology showed that the RAC count of the air groups increased gradually, while the hyperoxic groups were gradually decreased, however, the EGCG group tend to recover after 21 days recovery in room air. Conclusion Inhalation of EGCG can reduce the level of inflammatory response in lung tissue of hyperoxia exposed mice.EGCG attenuated lung injury in hyperoxia-exposed mice, and accelerated lung recovery after hyperoxia exposure in experimental animals.EGCG has potential effect to prevent hyperoxia induced bronchopulmonary dysplasia.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVETo observe the short-term clinical effectiveness of bone ring graft technique and to summarize the key points of related surgical operation to provide comprehensive clinical guidelines.

METHODSFifteen patients with severe alveolar bone absorption were selected to receive bone ring grafting and immediate dental implant. Final fixed prostheses were cemented five months after initial implantation. Cone beam CT scans were conducted on all subjects before the procedure, as well as four months post-operation to evaluate alveolar bone height and level of bone height and absorption around the implants. Four to six months after prosthesis installation, each implant's Jemt classification, gingiva attachment, and probing depth (PD) were analyzed. The difference of PD between implants and adjacent teeth, as well as the difference of the bone absorption between labial and lingual sides, was compared. The survival rate of the bone ring and the retention rate of implants were calculated. Complications and patient satisfaction were also investigated.

RESULTSBone graft survival rate was 94.4% and dental implantation retention rate was 100% four months post-operation. Average bone level increase was (6.06 +/- 1.06) mm, average bone absorption was (1.33 +/- 0.84) mm, and average bone thickness at the neck of the dental implant body was (6.94 +/- 0.73) mm. Approximately 4 to 6 months after crown restoration, average bone level increase was (5.62 +/- 1.03) mm, average bone absorption was (1.51 +/- 1.02) mm, and average bone thickness at the neck of the dental implant body was (6.77 +/- 0.72) mm. The PD around the implant body and the adjacent teeth was statistically insignificant. No major post-operative complication was observed, restorations were successful, and patient satisfaction level was high.

CONCLUSIONBone ring graft technique and immediate dental implantation are relatively simple to perform, and these techniques facilitate reduction in required treatment time. Short-term effect is reliable and satisfactory, whereas long-term outcomes require further follow up and study.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the curative effects of laparocopic treatment for cystiduodenal internal fistula. Methods All procedures were conducted under laparoscope. After the exposure of the cholecystic base, trans-cholecystic cholangiography was performed to detect the relations between the cholecyst and neighboring organs. Once the internal fistula was confirmed, the orifice of fistula was closed laparoscopically. Then abdominal drainage, gastrointestinal decompression, and administration of somatostatin were routinely employed. Results In a series of 327 cases of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) with intraoperative cholangiography, a total of 6 cases of cystiduodenal internal fistula were detected, all of which were anatomized and closed successfully under laparoscope. No postoperative hemorrhage or duodenal bile leakage occurred. Conclusions Routine intraoperative cholangiography during LC is beneficial to the detection of the cystiduodenal internal fistula.Effective and reliable management rests upon skillful laparoscopic techniques of dissection and fistula closure, as well as the supportive treatment.
