A Case of Primary Ureteral Tumor / 대한비뇨기과학회지

Primary ureteral tumor accounts for an estimated about 1 percent of all tumors of the urinary tracts. We observed one case of the ureteral tumor in 65 years old male patient and he was treated by complete nephroureterectomy with an excision of a cuff bladder wall around ureteral orifice. A case of primary ureteral tumor was reported with a brief review of the literatures.

A Case of the retroperitoneal Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma / 대한비뇨기과학회지

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma is uncommon pleomorphic tumor of the soft tissues possibly arising from the histiocyte. A case of malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the retroperitoneum stimulated our interest in this uncommon and pathologically intriguing lesion. So we report a case of malignant fibrous histiocytoma in the retroperitoneal space.

A Case of Reiter`s Syndrome / 대한비뇨기과학회지

Reiter`s disease can no longer be considerded a rare and relatively benign syndrome, defined by the clinical triad of urethritis, conjunctivitis and arthritis. In the etiology of Reiter`s disease, it can be regarded as a post-infectious syndrome after certain enteric disease or veneral infection and usually occurs in patients between 20 and 40 years old, with a male to female ratio of 10:1 in dysenteric cases and 50:1 in veneral cases. The diagnosis of Reiter`s disease should quite obious when the clinical manifestation of non specific urethritis, conjunctivitis, arthritis and mucocutaneous lesions. Recently, HLA-B27 antigen is strogly associated with Reiter`s syndrome and may be diagnosticlly useful when HLA-B27 is positive. There is no specific therapy for Reiter`s disease, but conservative treatement is aviable of acute stage oir recurrence of the disease. We have experienced a case of Reiter`s syndrome in 27 years old male and reproted with review of some literatures.

A Clinical Observation on 33 Cases of Donor Nephrectomy for Renal Transplantation / 대한비뇨기과학회지

A clinical observation was made on 33 cases of donor for renal transplantation in the Department of Urology, College of Medicine, Hanyang University from June 1978 to March 1981. The results are as follows; 1) In 32 cases of the 12 cases were male and 20 cases female, 5th decade was most common among them. 2) Relationship between donor was 20 cases, unrelated donor 2 cases and 2 cases cadaver donor. 3) The side of donor kidney was almost left side kidney.; Lt. side: 21 cases, Rt side: 6 cases. 4) There were no specific complications except 5 cases of wound infection.

A Case of Prenephrectomy Renal Artery Embolization for Renal Cell Carcinoma / 대한비뇨기과학회지

Prenephrectomy therapeutic renal artery embolization by injecting gelfoam into therenal artery was done in a 47 year-old female patient with hypernephroma. This technique facilitated nephrectomy and decreased blood loss. A post-infarction syndrome characterized by flank pain, fever and nausea also occurred in this patient. We report our experience herein with review of literature.
