RESUMO

Heterotopic cornual pregnancy (HCP) is a rare special type of ectopic pregnancy.The incidence rate has risen in recent years due to the development of assisted reproductive technology.Currently there is insufficient evidence to recommend any single treatment modality,and the decision should be based on such factors as clinical presentation,surgeon's expertise,imaging feature,and the patients'preference.This article reviews the etiology,diagnosis and treatment related to HCP.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE@#To evaluate the therapeutic methods and their effects on patients with cornual pregnancies.
@*METHODS@#A retrospective study was performed on 83 patients, who were diagnosed as cornual pregnancy at Drum Tower Hospital from June 2010 to April 2015. The patients were divided into 5 groups: a laparoscope group, angle resection and uterine repair guided by laparoscope (n=16); a surgery group, operated with angle resection and uterine repair (n=49); an abortion group, guided by ultrasound or laparoscope (n=6); a drug group, treated by methotrexate and mifepristone (n=8) and a pregnancy bursal puncture group (n=4). We compared the general conditions, surgery circumstances and average days in hospital among the laparoscope group, the surgery group, and the abortion group. Moreover, we also investigated the outcomes of the drug group and pregnancy bursal puncture group.
@*RESULTS@#Compared with the surgery group, the intraoperative blood loss in the laparoscope group and abortion group was less (P0.05). The length of procedure in the abortion group was less than that in the laparoscope group or the surgery group (P<0.05). The cure rate was 100%.
@*CONCLUSION@#The therapeutic methods based on patient's condition can improve the curative effect and prognosis in cornual pregnancy, which can keep the integrity of generative organs with less injury. The laparoscope might be a main therapeutic method for cornual pregnancy due to its safety, effectiveness, and minimal invasion.

RESUMO

Tie2 expressing monocytes (TEMs) only present in human circulating blood and tumor organs,and have an important role in tumor angiogenesis and progression.TEMs are effectively recruited to tumors by angiopoietin 2 (Ang2) and hypoxia and then differentiate into macrophages,which promote the angiogenesis in experimental tumor models by providing paracrine support to nascent blood vessels.Studies show that TEMs are up-regulated in hepatocellular carcinoma,colorectal cancer,breast cancer,malignant glioma and other human cancers,which suggests that TEMs are conducive to diagnosis and prognosis of tumors.With the further research,TEMs are applied to deliver drugs which can obtain significant anti-tumor responses and inhibit metastasis with the ability of tumor-homing.Meanwhile,TEMs may also be a potential target for the anticancer drugs.However,the present researches indicate that the effects of TEMs in tumor microvessel density,clinical stage and prognosis are still questionable.Current works that aim at describing and predicting the concrete function of TEMs have attracted significant attention from researchers.

RESUMO

As a kind of polyphenolic phytoalexin,resveratrol exerts protective roles in anti-tumor,antiinflammatory and promoting metabolism.Resveratrol's anti-tumor mechanisms may be involved in upregulating tumor suppressor microRNAs and downregulating oncogenic microRNAs,and affect its relative pathways and target genes in different cancers such as colon cancers and breast cancers.This will provide a new theoretical basis for the further clarification of resveratrol-associated tumor suppressing mechanisms and its application to the clinical.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the effect of umbilical artery blood pH on the diagnosis of neonatal asphyxia and the evaluation of its prognosis. Methods Blood samples were obtained from 108 normal newborns and 51 asphyxial newborns,who were randomly chosen among newborns delivered in our hospital from november 2007 to may 2008. Umbilical artery blood gas was measured and compared with apgur rating. Results With the degression of umbilical blood pH, the incidence rate of neonatal asphyxia increased and the normal apgar rating decreased(P < 0.01), which suggesting that there was tight relevant between umbilical blood pH and neonatal asphyxia. Conclusion Compared with apgur rating, umbilical artery blood pH could reflect the asphyxia degree of newborns more objectively andsensitively and it might play a guiding role in the prognosis of neonatal asphyxia.

Objective To study effect of the antisense oligodeoxynucleotide (ASODN) of small subunit of human ribonucleotide reductase (RRM2) mRNA on cell line of human choriocarcinoma in vitro. Methods Two 20-mer gapmer ASODNs with a full phosphorothioate backbone were artificially synthesized, which were complementary to nucleotides 626-645 (a coding region) and 1572-1591 (a 3′untranslated region) of RRM2, respectively. ASODNs were transfected into JAR cells through oligofectamine. The survival rate was assessed by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MMT) assay, and RRM2 expression was detected by immunoblot and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) methods. Results Antisense oligodeoxynucleotide one (ASODN1) targeting the coding region significantly inhibited growth of JAR cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner and downregulated RRM2 expression in a time-dependent manner. ASODN1 at 100 nmol/L could inhibit significantly cell growth ( P =0.000), and the effects of ASODN1 on JAR cell proliferation were enhanced with increase of ASODN1 concentration and reached the peak point at 400 nmol/L concentration ( P =0.000). Cell growth was significantly inhibited by 200 nmol/L of ASODN1 after 24 h of treatment ( P =0.000). The effect of ASODN1 was at the maximum at 48 h ( P =0.000), and began to decrease at 72 h of treatment. RRM2 expression started to reduce after ASOND1 treatment for 12 hours, and was obviously downregulated at 24 h of treatment, and decreased to the lowest level at 48 h ( P
