RESUMO
El propósito de este estudio, fue investigar la eficacia del simulador endodóntico tradicional para mejorar las destrezas clínicas mediante un instrumento que permita evidenciarlo de manera objetiva y demostrar su ayuda como estrategia de enseñanza, en la asignatura de Clínica Integral del Adulto II, en los estudiantes del tercer año de la Facultad de Estomatología de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. Las destrezas de los estudiantes en el tratamiento del conducto radicular de dientes uniradiculares se evaluaron con una lista de cotejo, en las fases de acceso cameral, de limpieza y desinfección del conducto y de obturación del conducto. Los resultados demuestran que, en el tratamiento con el simulador endodóntico tradicional, el desarrollo de las destrezas de los estudiantes fue favorable; destacando la limpieza y conformación del conducto con un 65,4%. En el tratamiento con el paciente, el estudiante logró desarrollar las destrezas clínicas en forma favorable logrando en la limpieza y desinfección del conducto radicular en un 97,4%. Se concluye, que los resultados encontrados fueron altamente significativos, logrando un buen desarrollo de destrezas clínicas en la asignatura de Clínica Integral del adulto II.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the Traditional Endodontic Simulator efficacy through an instrument that is no found in the field but can evidenciate it, in the improvement of the clinical skills in the Adult Integrated Clinical II from third year students of Dental School at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in order to show that is helpful on teaching strategy. The investigation method was no experimental in seventy eight students. The skills of students in the root canal treatment of teeth uniradicu lares assessed using a checklist at the stages of access opening, cleaning and shaping of and the canal filling. In the treatment with traditional endodontic simulation the results show that, the development students skills was positive, highlighting the cleaning and shaping the canal with a 65.4%. In the treatment with the patient, the student was able to develop clinical skills achieving favorable way in cleaning and shaping the root canal 97, 4%. We conclude that the findings were highly significant, and the good achievement in the development of clinical skills in the course of Adult Integrated Clinical II.
