A Case of Cysticercosis in the Subconjunctiva

The authors have recently experienced with a five years old female patient who had a cysticercosis under the superio-nasal bulbar conjunctiva. The case was not associated with any other systemic lesions elsewhere in the body. The cyst was surgically removed and the microscopic examination confirmed a well preserved cysticercus cellulosae. According to the previous reports, the cysticercosis occurs frequently in the ocular region. Although ocular cysticercosis is common, subconjunctival cysticercosis rarely been reported in Korea. A brief medical history of case and a review of the related reports are presented.

2 Cases of Neurofibromatosis

Neurofibromatosis(von Reckling hausen's disease) is a congenital heredofamilial disorderresulting from dysplasia of neuroectodermal and mesodermal tissues. It is characterized by developmental anormaly, pigmentary skin lesions and multiple tumors derived from the Schwannian cells of the peripheral and sensory nerve. The authors have experienced two cases of Neurofibromatosis. which is clinically diagnosed. and confirmed by histopathological examination. It was reviewed clinically with the literature.

A Case of Incontinentia Pigmenti Associated with Ocular Complications

Incontinentia pigmenti is a hereditary anomaly characterized by hyperpigmentation in bizarre irregular patterns of striae, whorls, polyangular flecks, and fountains pray splatters. The dermatosis may be only a part of more generalized disorders which affect with great variability of the teeth, the eyes, the bones or central nervous system, or may be assotiated with other malformations or developmental disturbances. Recently, the authers have been experienced one case of incontinentia pigmenti which is assotiated with ocular complications in a 3 month old female and it was reviewed clinically with literatures.
