RESUMO

A one year study was carried out to determine the outcome of the seminal fluid parameters collected via masturbation and coitus interruptus in 151 patients who were undergoing intrauterine insemination (IUI) and patients who came for seminal analysis. There were no statistically significant differences in terms of volume, concentration, progressive motility and normal morphology from specimens collected via coitus interruptus compared to specimens collected via masturbation. Pregnancy outcomes were also comparable.

RESUMO

Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) is associated with subfertility. Despite efforts to induce ovulation, success rates are low. We report a case of POF spontaneously conceiving twins while on hormone replacement therapy.

RESUMO

A series of two hundred patients with ingrowing toe-nails has been operated upon using simple technique based on solving the suggested aetiological factor initiating and perpetuating the condition in a so called pressure circle. A wedge of tissue in removed from the external surface of the nail wall parallel to and away by one m.m. from the site of contact of the nail wall with the nail edge. The thickness of this wedge should be wide enough to evert the swollen nail wall away from the nail edge so as to cut short the successive effects of the pressure circle. Soft shoes were allowed by the third day, while normal footwears and activities were permitted by the fifth day. The early as well as the late results were excellent. The recurrence rate was 2.5% and was attributed to inadequacy of eversion of the nail wall
