RESUMO

Objective To investigate the auditory features in patients with severe obstructive sleep apnea hy-popnea syndrome(OSAHS) and the effects of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) on auditory functions . Methods Pure tone audiometry thresholds ,auditory brainstem responses (ABR) and distortion product otoacoustic emissions(DPOAE) were performed in three groups with 12 observed objects in each group ,which were the OS-AHS group(before and after treatment of CPAP) ,the simple snoring group and the normal control group .Results In the OSAHS group ,the high frequency auditory thresholds(at 8000 Hz) were greatly higher and the amplitudes of DPOAE reduced ;the detection rates of DPOAE were obviously declined .The peak latencies of Ⅰ ,Ⅲ and Ⅴ , and interpeak latencies of Ⅲ - Ⅴ andⅠ - Ⅴ were longer than those of in the other two groups .The differences were statistically significant(P<0 .05) .The differences of the interpeak latencies of Ⅰ - Ⅲ ,common pure tone au-ditory thresholds (125~4000 Hz) and the thresholds of Ⅴ -wave reaction in the OSAHS group did not change sig-nificantly compared with the other two groups(P>0 .05) .The amplitudes and the detection rates of DPOAEs (0 .5~8 kHz) increased after treatment with CPAP .The differences were statistically significant except the amplitudes of 500 ,750 and 1500 Hz (P<0 .05) .Pure tone audiometry and ABRs did not changed significantly after treatment with CPAP (P> 0 .05) .Conclusion The auditory functions of patients diagnosed with severe OSAHS were im-paired .Treatments with CPAP can partly improve the patients' auditory functions .

RESUMO

PHA granule binding protein phasin (PhaP) has a high affinity for hydrophobic materials and can bind to hydrophobic polymers via strong hydrophobic interaction. In this study, an EGFR-targeting peptide (ETP) was fused with PhaP and the fusion protein ETP-PhaP was produced in recombinant Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) (pPI-ETP-P) and then purified by Ni affinity purification. The tumor targeting PHBHHx nanoparticles were developed based on PhaP mediated ETP immobilization and the cellular uptake of the ETP-PhaP modified PHBHHx NPs and none modified PHBHHx NPs by cervical cancer cell lines SiHa (EGFR over expressed) and CaSKi (EGFR low expressed) were analyzed. The purified ETP-PhaP could be adsorbed onto the hydrophobic surface of PHBHHx NPs. The ETP-PhaP modified PHBHHx NPs could target to EGFR over expressed cervical cancer cells SiHa more efficiently than to the EGFR low expressed CaSKi cells. These results demonstrated the advantage in effectiveness and convenience of PhaP mediated ETP adsorption on PHBHHx nanoparticles, providing a novel strategy for hydrophobic nanocarrier surface modification.

RESUMO

Chlamydia psittaci is a causative agent of psittacosis, which can infect a wide range of hosts including birds and humans. However, information regarding C.psittaci infection in pigeons is scarce. In the present study,a total of 399 fecal samples from pigeons were collected from Jilin Province, northeastern China, between March and May 2015,and examined by nested PCR amplification of outer membrane protein A (ompA) gene. The overall Chlamydiosis prevalence was 5.01% (21/399),with 3.19% in Changchun City and 9.40% in Jilin City.Furthermore, breed was the major risk factor associated with Chlamydia infection in pigeon, boiler pigeons had a prevalence of 7.49%,whereas no C.psittaci was detected in racing pigeons.Sequence analysis of the ompA gene revealed that all the identified isolates represented C.psittaci genotype B.Our results firstly indicated the presence of zoonotic C.psittaci in boiler pigeons in Jilin Province, northeastern China, and effective measures should be implemented to reduce the risk of C.psittaci transmission from pigeons to humans.

RESUMO

Objective:To study the diagnosis value of Transcranial Doppler ultrasound for intracranial artery stenosis in patients with cerebral infarction. Methods:A total of 140 patients with acute cerebral infarction, transient ischemic attack and posterior circulation ischemic attack in Department of Neurology,Xinjiang cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease hospital from October 2014 to October 2016 were selected as research object,CT angiography (CTA) and TCD detection were performed in all patients.Used CTA examination results as the gold standard, the detection results of intracranial artery stenosis in two groups were compared, the diagnostic value of TCD and the diagnostic results of TCD to the degree of bilateral middle cerebral artery (MCA) stenosis were analyzed. Results:CTA diagnosis showed that 140 patients had a total of 105 patients with intracranial artery stenosis,in the anterior and posterior circulation vessel of 1155 intracranial segments,CTA detection showed that 249 vessels were narrow,TCD detection showed that 236 vessels were narrow.Com-pared with CTA,TCD was better in the diagnosis of patients (Kappa value>0.75).The diagnostic sensitivity and positive predictive value of TCD for MCA were the highest, which were 91.26% and 93.07%,the consistency was the best (Kappa value =0.917).CTA detection showed that 210 MCA vessels had 103 stenoses, mild stenosis 17,moderate stenosis 41,severe stenosis 45,TCD detection showed that the stenosis was 101,mild stenosis 16,moderate stenosis 40,severe stenosis 45.The Kappa test showed that the diagnostic results of TCD to the degree ofMCA stenosis was better consistency compared with CTA (Kappa value=0.884.Conclusion:TCD has a high diagnostic value for cerebral artery stenosis in patients with cerebral infarction, and it is consistent with the diagnosis of CTA.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the inhibitory effect of HPSE AS-ODN on the invasiveness of human Hep-2 cell lines. METHODS HPSE AS- ODN which was complementary with initiation codon region of HPSE mRNA was designed and synthesized. After embedded by cation lipofectin, it was transfected into Hep-2 cells of human laryngocarcinoma. The expression of HPSE protein and HPSE mRNA in Hep-2 cell lines were detected by flow cytometry and RT- PCR. Meanwhile Matrigel invasive assay was used to measure the inhibitory effect of HPSE AS-ODN on the invasiveness of human Hep-2 cell lines. RESULTS The HPSE protein and HPSE mRNA expression and invasiveness of human Hep-2 cells treated with AS- ODN of different concentrations were significantly decreased as the AS-ODN concentration increasing. There was a significantly difference between control group and each group of AS-ODN respectively (P

RESUMO

Objective To study the changes of AT-III and PAI-1 in the blood of patients with sudden sensorineural hearing loss(SSHL) and investigate the relationship between their levels and the disease. Methods The levels of AT-III and PAI-1 in the blood of 44 patients with SSHL and 30 healthy volunteers were detected using chromogentic substrate method. Results The changes of AT-III and PAI-1 in the blood of patients with SSHL were correlated with the process of the disease. There was significant difference between the levels of AT-III and PAI-1 in the blood of patients within 3 days and that of patients beyond 1 week(P
