RESUMO

Acute leukemia marks the main type of non-solid cancer in children.Studies have proved that long non-coding RNA plays important roles in the pathogenesis of hematological malignancies and can be applied as a biomarker for diagnosis, prognosis and efficacy monitoring of leukemia patients. This article briefly reviews the roles of long non-coding RNA in the tumorigenesis and progression of childhood acute leukemia.

RESUMO

Cancer stem cells (CSCs) refer to a kind of cells with self-renewal ability and multi-directional differentiation potential inside the tumor. Although only occupying a small part of the whole cancer cells, they are the " original cells" that cause tumorigenesis, spread and recurrence, which is also the root cause of radiotherapy failure. CSCs are virtually resistant to radiotherapy and promote tumor metastasis either in a direct or indirect manner, which are therefore believed to serve as the basis of tumor metastasis. Moreover, the heterogeneity of CSCs may be responsible for the complexity of organ-specific metastasis. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a class of RNA molecules with over 200 nucleotides in length without protein coding potential, which are involved in the initiation and progression of several cancer types and closely related to the radiation tolerance. Recently, lncRNAs related to tumor radiation tolerance and its relationship with CSCs have attracted widespread attention. In this review, lncRNA-mediated regulation of CSCs following radiotherapy and the role of lncRNA in radiation tolerance were summarized.

RESUMO

Medical imaging technology is a "medicine plus engineering" major, with high practicality. It has characteristics of various courses, professional teaching, and expensive and rapidly-updated special equipments.Current investment in education cannot meet the training teaching requirements for cultivating the talents in medical imaging technology. Therefore, cooperation of school and hospital is necessary. The enrolled student of the five-year higher vocational education is the fresh graduate of junior high school. The practice proves that methods like progressive teaching,theory-practice integration, situational teaching and work-learning integration are suitable for five-year higher vocational education. In our study, the "3.5+0.5+ 0.5+0.5" work-study integration teaching mode in medical imaging technology of five-year higher vocational education is explored.

RESUMO

Objective The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of piplartine on the proliferation and apoptosis in human breast cancer MDA‐MB‐231 cells line and the mechanism involved .Methods Human breast cancer MDA‐MB‐231 cells line was cultured in vitro .The inhibitory effect of piplartine on the proliferation of MDA‐MB‐231 cells was measured by CCK‐8 assay after treatment with piplartine at different concentrations .The apoptosis rates were measured by flow cytometry .Western blot was used to explore the effect of piplartine on MDA‐MB‐231 cells Bcl‐2 and Bax protein expression .Results The CCK‐8 assay showed that piplartine had an inhibiting effect on the proliferation of MDA‐MB‐231 cells in a concentration and time dependent manner .Piplar‐tine induced apoptosis of MDA‐MB‐231 cells obviously .The antioxidant N‐acetyl‐L‐cystein inhibited the apoptosis of cells .By Western blot analysis ,we found the expression of Bax was up‐regulated whereas that of Bcl‐2 was down‐regulated in a concentration dependent manner .Conclusion Piplartine possesses a significant function for inhibiting proliferation and inducing apoptosis of MDA‐MB‐231 cells ,and its mechanism would be associated with the down regulation of Bcl‐2 and up regulation of Bax .

RESUMO

Piplartine is an alkaloids/amide component of Piper species, having diverse pharmacological and biological activities.Recent studies have indicated that piplartine has inhibitory effects on several kinds of tumors and is a kind of potential antitumor drugs. It can inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells, cause cell cycle arrest and induce apoptosis.More investigations suggest that targeting the reactive oxygen species(ROS) stressresponse pathway is closely related to its antitumor activity.
