RESUMO

This paper discusses the different stages of normal esophageal's developing to esophageal cancer, and the difference among dietary patterns of patients with esophageal cancer and acceptable daily intake of vitamin A, E and beta carotene intake in diet


This paper takes advantage of food composition table, calculates the intake amount of dietary vitamin A, E and beta carotene in all kinds of food for patients with esophageal cancer, and analyzes the intake amount difference of dietary vitamin A, E and beta carotene in each kind of food for different groups of people. Research conclusions: the low content level of dietary vitamin A, E beta-carotene and low intake amount of beans, vegetables and fruit intake may increase the risk of esophageal cancer' occurring, while the relationship among dietary vitamin E, the occurrence and development of esophageal cancer needs further discussion

RESUMO

ObjectiveTo compare the clinical effect of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and median sternotomy in treatment of myasthenia gravis(MG).Methods48 patients received extended thymectomy for MG were divided into two groups by operative approach,23 cases in VATS group and 25 cases in control group.The operative time,operative blood loss,postoperative drainage quantity,patients' length of stay,the incidence of crisis and curative effect after follow-up were analyzed.ResultsThe operative blood loss,postoperative drainage quantity,patients' length of stay of the VATS group were significantly less than those of the control group.There was no significant difference of the operative time.During a follow-up of 6 ~ 32 months,symptom was improved in 82.6% of patients in VATS group and 80.0% in the control group (P > 0.05 ).One case complicated with MG crisis was found in the VATS group and three cases in the control group.ConclusionVATS for MG was safe and effective with the advantages of less invasive,fewer complications and quick recovery.It was the first choice for the surgical treatment of MG.

RESUMO

Objective To search the surgical methods of esophageal carcinoma complicated with cicatricial pyloric obstruction .Methods 18 cases were treated with resection. Among the resections,16 cases underwent resection of esophageal carcinoma esophago-gastrostomy above aortic arch in chest plus gastro-jejunum anastomosis ;2 cases treatment with resection of esophageal carcinoma plus esophago-gastretomy above aortic arch in chest combined with pyloroplasty.Results Of 18 cases ,cure rate was 100%.No severe complications were occurred in the procedure. Conclusion Surgical operation is safe , applicable and effective in treatment of esophageal carcinoma complicated with cicatricial pyloric obstruction.
