RESUMO

Objective To explore the effects of enhancing confidence of active cycle of breathing technique training on pulmonary rehabilitation in elder lung cancer patients with lung resection. Methods The control group (n=35) received routine breathing exercise from September to December 2016;the intervention group (n=35) received the confidence-enhancing active cycle of breathing technique in addition to routine perioperative care from January to April 2017.We compared the 24-hours wet sputum weight, postoperative pulmonary complications, the peak expiratory flow(PEF),6-minute walk test(6MWT),and exercise self-efficacy from baseline until hospital discharge. Results The sputum weight of postoperative on day 2 and day 3 in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The PEF,6MWT and exercise self-efficacy were also improved and the differences between two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in postoperative pulmonary complications between two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Confidence-enhancing active cycle of breathing technique is a simple, effective and easy short-term pulmonary rehabilitation method.

RESUMO

Objective To study the psychosocial behavior reaction, psychosocial needs, anxiety and depression among colostomy patients prior to discharge and to explore the relationship between them. Methods Totally 67 colostomy patients from 2 hospitals in Guangzhou were recruited and investigated by demographic questionnaire,Ostomy Psychosocial Behavior Reaction Questionnaire,Ostomy Psychosocial Needs Questionnaire,Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale 1-2 days prior to discharge. Results The psychosocial behavior reaction among coIostomy patients was in the moderate level with the mean score 2.15±0.27.The psychosocial needs were in medium to high level with the mean score 2.09±0.41.About 37.3% of colostomy patients showed anxiety, while 20.9% patients showed depression.Significant positive correlation was shown between psychosocial behavior reaction and psychosocial needs(r=0.565,P<0.01),while significant positive correlation was also shown between psychosocial behavior reaction and anxiety-depression(r=-0.472,-0.319,P<0.01).Psychosocial needs and anxiety could predict psychosocial behavior reaction positively(β=0.486,-0.375,P<0.01).Conclusion The positive acknowledgement and reconstruction are the main psychosocial behavior reactions prior to discharge in colostomy patients.Patients with more psychosocial needs, severe anxiety show more psychosocial behavior reaction.

RESUMO

Objective To understand the influene of inhabited environment on psychological and be-havioral symptom of dementia (BPSD) in patients with Alzbeimer's disease. Methods Nenrepsychiatric in-ventory was used to measure the occurrence of BPSD of 100 home and 100 resthome patients with Alzheimer's disease.Tbe data were analyzed with software SPSS version 13.0. Results The scores of hallucinations, anxi-ety,aberrant motor behavior and sleep disturbance in resthome patients were significant higher than those of home patients. There was significantly difference in the extent of occurrence in aberrant motor behavior, apathy/ indifference, hallucinations, sleep disturbance, anxiety,depression/dysphoria and appetite/eating disorders be-tween home and resthome patients, among which the extent of occurrence in resthome patients was higher except for body weight decreasing and appetite/eating disoniers. Conclusions The occurrence of BPSD is different according to different inhabited environment, symptoms of resthome patients are worse, so families should be ap-pealed as far as possibile to allow AD patients living at home.

RESUMO

Objective To study the burden of main earegivers of patients with stroke and its influ-encing factors, besides, the corresponding nursing countermeasures were disucssed. Methods 56 main caregivers of stroke families were selected to complete caregiver burden inventory (CBI). Results The general level of burden of main caregivers was in the moderate level with score value (1.55±0.35),factors influencing the burden of caregivers included ADL index, number of caregivers who involved in nursing and hospitalization times. Conclusions Nurses should educate the stroke patients about their rehabilitation systematically to decrease the severity of stroke sequela and readmission times, besides, they should strengthen their family support to reduce the burden of caregivers and increase their health status both physically and psychologically.

RESUMO

@#Objective To investigate the family burden from behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) in patients with Alzheimer disease (AD) living at home and in nursing home. Methods Neuropsychiatric Inventory/Neuropsychiatric Inventory-Nursing Home (NPI) and Family Burden Interview Scale (FBIS) were used to measure the occurrence of BPSD in 200 AD patients. The data were analyzed. Results In-home patients' total score and family daily activities, family entertainment, family relationships, family members' mental health and the body healthy dimension scores of FBIS were significantly higher ( P<0.05), and the dimension scores of economic burden were significantly lower ( P<0.01) than those of patients in nursing home. Patients' total score of NPI was positively correlated with the economic burden, family entertainment, family relationships, family members' mental health and the body healthy dimension scores of FBIS ( P<0.01). Every dimension score of NPI and total score of FBIS positively related ( P<0.05). Dimension score of family daily activities of FBIS was not related to all of the dimension scores and total score of NPI ( P>0.05).Conclusion The family burden from BPSD should not be ignored, especially the patients living at home, which suggests that AD patients should be sent to nursing home to spend their rest life.

Using the self-designed questionnaire to investigate 42 postoperative colostomy patients in the first and the second year respectively after the colostomy operation. Results With the time passing by, the money which have been used in buying colostomy products increased, while, the time in the colostomy care decreased. There are no significant difference between the two time point in colostomy self-care ability. The effect factors are age and the time since colostomy in the first year; and gender, age and the time since colostomy are the factors in the second years.
