RESUMO

Introduction: The key to successful management of large number of victims with limited resources is triage, which without preparedness of nurses seem to be impossible

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of simulated training course on preparedness of nurses to do pre-hospital triage at Razi psychiatric hospital

Materials and Methods: This is a quasi-experimental study on 60 nurses in Razi psychiatric hospital who according to the inclusion criteria and randomly divided into two experimental and control groups equally by 30. The study tools developed by the researcher included [Knowledge of Disaster Triage Test] that contains 30 questions of four-choice

The [Accuracy of Disaster Triage Test] also contains 30 questions with four-choice. Face validity and content validity has been evaluated

Reliability were evaluated using Cronbach's alpha for the [Knowledge of Disaster Triage Test] 0.75 and for the [Accuracy of Disaster Triage Test] 0.78. A day workshop [Disaster Triage Simulation Method] was arranged for intervention group and two groups were assessed by study tools before and after intervention. Data were analyzed using SPSS/16

Findings: The mean score of nurses preparedness regarding triage training [Knowledge and accuracy] in the intervention group were significantly different before and after the intervention [p<0.001]

The mean difference of nurses preparedness triage training [Knowledge and accuracy] there were significantly different between the two groups respectfully [p<0.001]

Conclusion: The results of the study showed, using the simulation method on triage training improved the nurses preparedness to do disaster triage. Therefore it is recommended to do this training program for nurses' to improve their preparedness for disaster triage

RESUMO

Rhus coriaria was growth in some areas of Iran. Fruit powder is used as a flavor in foods. Fruits are used as traditional drug, too. Some researches have isolated some phytochemicals from thye herb. There isn't any report about identification of the essential oil of this plant. Identification of the essential oil of seeds and leaves from Rhus coriaria. The essential oil of frits and leaves from R. coriaria was obtained by hydrodistillation, separately. The oils were analyzed by GC/MS. Method of identification was based on comparison of mass spectra with standard and using of retention indices. Yields of essential oil extraction from both leaves and fruits of sumac were about 0.2%. 65 Components in leaves and 54 components in fruits were identified. Major component of the oils was beta-caryophyllene [32.2% in leaves and 20.2% in fruits]. Other major components in leaves are caryophyllene oxide, cembrene and alpha -humulene in leaves; and cembrene, [E, E] 2, 4-decadienal and alpha -terpineol in fruits. The sumac leaves and fruits have essential oil which extractable by hydrodistillation and the essential oils are identifiable and determinable by GC/MS technique. The major components of both essential oils are identical. The result of our study is the same of other researchers on the plants in other countries. beta - caryophyllene and cemberene which identified as major components in our samples, had identified in other research as major components of sumac essential oil, previously

RESUMO

To determine the effect of bilateral uterine artery ligation [BUAL] on mast cell [MC] distribution, 24 mature female rabbits were studied. The rabbits were ovariohysterectomized on day 23, 43 or 63 following BUAL. Histological sections were stained with toluidine blue to determine the MC distribution. In rabbits that had undergone BUAL, MCs were present extensively in the helium of the treated ovaries, in dense groups close to the blood vessels. In the control group, MCs were observed at a medium density around the blood vessels and the number of MCs in the reproductive tract was significantly [P < 0.01] lower than in the test groups. This study demonstrates that, after BUAL, the distribution and numbers of MCs differ between different parts of the reproductive system

RESUMO

Job stress is very common among nurses. The study of coping styles and related factors can contribute to affective response to stress. The purpose of present study was to investigate the relationship of religiosity and personality dimension and self-efficacy with coping style of nurse's students. This is a descriptive in the context of the cross-sectional study, which was performed in 2009. The study sample includes 323 nurse students, witch selected with cluster sampling model. Practitioner students spent at least 10 hours in week to work in hospitals. Data were collected through Islamic Religiosity Scale, NEO Inventory, General Self-Efficacy Scale and Ways of Coping Questionnaire, and then analyzed with the help of correlation and stepwise regression analysis. Results of regression analysis show that between religiosity, personality dimensions and self-efficacy, religiosity has more portion in predict of problem-focus coping style in nurses students, and only neuroticism is able to predicting of emotional-focus coping style in nurses students. With regarding to results, can concluded that religious instructions to nurses students can help them to have effective coping with stressful situations in clinical work. Also, guidance and accompanying of instructors with practitioner students to experience all pleasant and unpleasant aspects of clinical work, has important role in effective coping with them

RESUMO

So many articles on fennel [Foeniculum Valgare Mill.] essential oil constituents have been published. The goal of this article is influnce of preparations of essential oil on quality and quantity of the essence. We prepared the essences by two methods [hydrodistillation and steam distillation]. Hydrodistillation were conducted in four different process time [15, 30, 60 and 150 minutes] and the latter conducted at 150 minutes. The oils were analysed by GC and GC/MS. 37 major compounds were detected in the oild totally 91.37 to 97.57% of the essences were consisted of these compoundes. E Anethole, Estragole and D-[+]- Fenchone were the most frequent compounds. The highest percent of anethole was at 30 minute
