Fifty patients with typical eruption an no known cause for it were examined by a qualified dermatologist and investigated. Biopsy was done in 10 rather severe cases. Patch tests were done by using standard European patch tests. No case was observed in winter season. Lesions were more common on exposed areas. Face and neck were involved in 45 cases while 5 cases showed involvement of arms. The lesions were asymterical, often linear erythematous and vesciular. A peculiar dermatosis with obscure aetiology was being observed in skin units in Peshawar in Summer. This is the first report of pederus dermatitis in Pakistan

Skin metastases in the form of cancer en Cuirasse [scirrhous carcinoma] is an uncommon but typical pattern. The primary site may be known or not yet diagnosed. In this form infiltrated, painful, diffuse plagues are observed. A biopsy is mandatory for diagnosis. In the case where biopsy is confirmative and primary site is not found, examination and relevant investigations should be repeated. In minority of cases skin metastases may be the sole secondaries and excision of these alongwith the primary may give better prognosis. However, excision or radio-therapy may alleviate symptoms

over a period of two years, 51 patients presenting with complaints of dermatitis caused by the use of plants and plant products, to the DHQ Teaching Hospital Abbottabad, were studied. Their ages ranged between 21 and 70 years. presentation was with symptoms like erythema and vesicles, bullae and necrosis of skin and complications like -e: and scarring. It was concluded that plants without proven safety or efficacy are still being used as topical rents in our region
