RESUMO

Background@#Job performance is known as an essential reflection of nursing quality. Colleague solidarity, positive emotion, and turnover intention play effective roles in a clinical working environment, but their impacts on job performance are unclear. Investigating the association between nurses’ colleague solidarity and job performance may be valuable, both directly and through the mediating roles of positive emotion and turnover intention. @*Methods@#In this cross-sectional study, a total of 324 Chinese nurses were recruited by convenience sampling method from July 2016 to January 2017. Descriptive analysis, Spearman’s correlation analysis, and the structural equation model were applied for analysis by SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24.0. @*Results@#A total of 49.69% of participants were under 30 years old, and 90.12% of participants were female. Colleague solidarity and positive emotion were positively connected with job performance. The results indicated the mediating effects of positive emotion and turnover intention in this relationship, respectively, as well as the chain mediating effect of positive emotion and turnover intention. @*Conclusions@#In conclusion, dynamic and multiple supportive strategies are needed for nurse managers to ameliorate nursing job performance by improving colleague solidarity and positive emotion and decreasing turnover intention based on the job demand-resource model.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the structural distribution features and mechanism of elastic fibers and collagen fibers in ventricular interstitium of aged rats. Methods Five young SD rats (24 weeks) and five old SD rats (104 weeks) were used, and their cardiac function was examined by echocardiography. Modified Weigert elastic fiber staining, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and Western blotting techniques were used to detect the expression changes of type I and IH collagen fibers and their proteins, elastic fibers and their proteins, matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2), matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 2 (TIMP-2), respectively. Results The type I and type IH collagen in the ventricular interstitium of aged rats was very sufficient and wrapped around the cardiomyocytes. Compared with the young rats, the content of collagen protein in the ventricular interstitium of the aged rats significantly increased (P<0. 05). Elastic fibers in the ventricular interstitium of the aged rats were and widely distributed. Compared with the young rats, the number of elastic fibers and the level of elastin in the ventricular interstitium of the aged rats significantly decreased (P<0. 05), and the expression levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in ventricular muscle of aged rats increased, and the)' were correlated with the level of elastin. The level of TIMP-2 in ventricular muscle of aged rats decreased with age. Conclusion The number of collagen fibers and elastic fibers in ventricular interstitium of aged rats is fluctuated with each other. With the increase of age, the contents of TIMP-2 and elastic fibers in the ventricular interstitium gradually decreased, and the ratio of collagen fibers to elastic fibers is out of balance.

RESUMO

Objective:To analyze the differences in 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT imaging and preoperative localization between patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) and extratemporal epilepsy (ETLE) caused by focal cortical dysplasia (FCD). Methods:From April 2015 to August 2018, a total of 71 patients (45 males, 26 females, age (24.3±9.1) years) with refractory epilepsy who underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging before surgery and confirmed as FCD by pathology in Xuanwu Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were divided into TLE and ETLE groups based on pathological results. 18F-FDG PET/CT images were analyzed qualitatively and compared with the operation result, then region of interest (ROI) was used to calculate the asymmetry index (AI), and evaluated the hypometabolism of every cerebral region by |AI| semi-quantitatively. Engle classification were followed-up after surgery. Independent-sample t test and χ2 test were used to analyze data. Results:Of 71 FCD patients, 35 were TLE and 36 were ETLE. The onset age of ETLE patients were younger than TLE patients ((10.1±6.5) vs (14.9±9.7) years; t=2.48, P=0.02). In TLE group, 54.29%(19/35) were completely consistent with the operation results, and 42.86%(15/35) showed hypometabolized brain regions in extratemporal lobe. In ETLE group, 27.78%(10/36) were completely consistent with the operation results, and 47.22%(17/36) showed hypometabolized brain regions in temporal lobe. There were significant differences in the lateral accuracy and positioning accuracy of 18F-FDG PET/CT between TLE and ETLE patients (97.14%(34/35) vs 75.00%(27/36), 54.29%(19/35) vs 27.78%(10/36); χ2 values: 7.19, 6.27, both P<0.05). There was no significant difference in |AI| values between the brain regions of TLE and ETLE patients ( z values: from -1.25 to -0.06, all P>0.05). Conclusion:The lateral accuracy and positioning accuracy of 18F-FDG PET/CT in TLE patients are better than that in ETLE patients.

RESUMO

Objective:To evaluate the effect of all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) on the expression of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) -related molecules in human malignant melanoma A375 cells. Methods:Cultured A375 cells were divided into 4 groups: control-1 and -2 groups treated with Dulbecco′s modified Eagle medium (DMEM) for 24 and 48 hours respectively, and ATRA-1 and ATRA-2 groups treated with DMEM containing 10 μmol/L ATRA for 24 and 48 hours respectively. After the treatment, real-time quantitative PCR was performed to determine the mRNA expression of EMT-related genes E-cadherin, N-cadherin, vimentin and β-catenin in the above 4 groups, Western blot analysis to determine the relative expression of the above proteins, and direct immunofluorescence study to assess the fluorescence intensity of E-cadherin and vimentin in the ATRA-1, ATRA-2 and control-1 groups. Statistical analysis was carried out by using two-way analysis of variance, one-way analysis of variance and least significant difference- t test. Results:Real-time quantitative PCR showed that the E-cadherin mRNA expression was significantly higher in the ATRA-1 group than in the control -1 group ( F = 13.148, P < 0.05) , and higher in the ATRA-2 group than in the control-2 group ( F = 31.529, P < 0.05) ; the mRNA expression of N-cadherin, vimentin and β-catenin was significantly lower in the ATRA-1 group than in the control-1 group ( P < 0.05) , and lower in the ATRA-2 group than in the control-2 group ( P < 0.05) ; the ATRA-2 group showed significantly increased mRNA expression of E-cadherin ( F = 13.148, P < 0.05) , but significantly decreased mRNA expression of the other 3 proteins compared with the ATRA-1 group (all P < 0.05) ; there was no significant difference in the mRNA expression of the above molecules between the control-1 and -2 groups (all P > 0.05) . Western blot analysis showed that the protein expression of E-cadherin significantly increased, but the protein expression of N-cadherin, vimentin and β-catenin significantly decreased in the ATRA-1 and ATRA-2 groups compared with the control-1 group (all P < 0.05) ; compared with the ATRA-1 group, the ATRA-2 group showed significantly increased protein expression of E-cadherin ( P < 0.05) , but significantly decreased protein expression of N-cadherin, vimentin and β-catenin (all P < 0.05) . Direct immunofluorescence study showed that the fluorescence intensity of E-cadherin was significantly higher in the ATRA-1 group and ATRA-2 group (6.23 ± 0.08, 10.37 ± 0.13, respectively) than in the control-1 group (2.37 ± 0.14, both P < 0.05) , while the fluorescence intensity of vimentin was significantly lower in the ATRA-1 group and ATRA-2 group (15.17 ± 0.18, 10.29 ± 0.03, respectively) than in the control-1 group (50.16 ± 0.26, both P < 0.05) , and the cells in the ATRA-1 group and ATRA-2 group transformed from spindle- to cobble-stone-like in shape. Conclusion:ATRA can up-regulate the expression of E-cadherin, down-regulate the expression of N-cadherin, vimentin and β-catenin in A375 cells, and may inhibit the EMT of A375 cells.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the effect of fibroblast growth factor (FGF) on the proliferation and transdifferentiation of cardiac fibroblasts ( CFs ) into myofibroblasts ( MFs ). Methods Rat CFs were isolated and cultured, and then induced by FGF. CCK-8 was used to detect the cell activity and proliferation. Immunofluorescence and Western blotting were used to detect the expression of a smooth muscle actin ( α-SMA ) and collagen I ( Col I ). Results The expression and activation of α-SMA and Col I increased with the increase of CFs culture generation. The number of CFs induced by FGF did not increased significantly; the expression of α-SMA in CFs induced by FGF1 and FGF2 decreased, and the number of activated MFs decreased. Conclusion FGF family has no effect on the proliferation of CFs, but FGF1 and FGF2 can inhibit the activation of CFs and reduce the differentiation into MFs.

RESUMO

Aceria pallida is one of the most common pests in the main production areas of Lycium barbarum in China. The mite mainly feeds on foliage, leading to local tissue deformation and formation of massive galls, which seriously affects the growth and yield of L. barbarum. However, little is known about the influence of galling organisms on plant primary and secondary metabolism. In order to compare the metabolites differences between healthy and the mite infested leaves of wolfberry, and provide a scientific basis for the development and utilization of the galled leaves, L. barbarum seedlings were infested with A. pallida artificially in the laboratory, the metabolites of L. barbarum leaves were determined by LC-MS/MS. Our results showed that the leaves were rich in amino acids and flavonoid compounds. A total of 204 compounds from 16 classes were detected in L. barbarum leaves based on LC-MS/MS. The primary metabolites are mainly amino acids, and the secondary metabolites are mainly organic acids and flavonoids. The content of the metabolite in the leaves of L. barbarum was significantly affected by the mite, 30 metabolites such as flavonoids and phenylpropanoids were significantly changed, 21 metabolites were up-regulated and 9 metabolites were down-regulated significantly. There were 8 compounds which has pharmacological and biological activity, such as eriodictyol, isorhamnetin-3-O-neohesperidoside and scopoletin up-regulated significantly. Based on the above findings, we suggest that the galled leaves of L.barbarum have a potential to be developed in the future.

RESUMO

Heortia vitessoides is the most serious pest of Aquilaria sinensis, which is an economically important evergreen tree native to China and is the principal source of Chinese agarwood. In severe infestations, the insects completely eat up the leaves of A. sinensis, causing severe economic losses. In a more recent study,we found that the antennal sensilla of adult play important roles in the host location, mating and oviposition of H. vitessoides. Here, the external morphology of the antennal sensilla of H. vitessoides were examined using scanning electron microscopy. The result showed that the antennae of both sexes of H. vitessoides were filiform in shape, which consist of the scape, pedicel and about 64 segments of flagellomeres. Eight morphological sensilla types were recorded in both sexes, including sensilla trichodea, sensilla chaetica, sensilla basiconica, sensilla coeloconica, sensilla styloconica, sensilla auricillica, sensilla squamiformia and böhm bristle. Major differences were recorded in the distribution and quantity of different sensilla types in each segment of antenna. The sensillas are almost confined to the ventral and lateral surfaces rather than the back side of antennae. Antennal flagella contained the most sensilla while the scape and pedicel segments only contained böhm bristles and sensilla squamiformias. Sensilla trichodea Ⅲ were only found on male antennae. These results are discussed in relation to the possible roles of the sensilla types in the host location, mating and oviposition selection behavior of H. vitessoides.

RESUMO

To identify the wolfberry gall mite species and their overwintering situation in different wolfberry production areas and to provide a scientific basis for their prevention and control. We investigate the phoresy overwintering situation of gall mite, and identify the species of gall mite. Our results showed that the phoretic gall mite was Aceria pallida in all the production areas. The phoresy of gall mite was a common occurrence in different production areas, and the phoresy probability was above 75%. The phoretic behavior of wolfberry gall mite occurred commonly in the other production areas. The control of this mite in different production areas should pay attention to their phoretic behavior.

RESUMO

Periplaneta americana is an important medicinal insect. A series of new drugs developed from it have remarkable clinical effects and are in great demand in the market. Because of unclear biology, the quality and yield of P. americana are affected. Understanding the developmental threshold temperature and effective accumulated temperature of P. americana can provide theoretical basis for standardized culture of P.americana. Under climate chamber, the threshold temperature and effective accumulated temperature for egg development of P. americana to were determined through effective accumulated temperature law. The threshold temperature was (15.8±0.71)°C, the effective accumulated temperature was 415.8±38.05 degree days. A model of the relationship between temperature and developmental rates was established.

RESUMO

Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease that can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract. Major complications include formation of strictures, fistulas or abscesses. These complicating factors of CD pose significant challenges to the clinician. Despite significant advances in therapy over the past decades, a significant proportion of the patients will eventually require surgery, with at least one third of patients requiring multiple surgeries. The surgical treatment of CD focuses on the elimination of disease symptoms while solving the complications and maintaining intestinal continuity. Before surgery, patients may have experienced long-term course of disease, repeated treatment failure, malnutrition and side effects of medicine. Postoperative complications are seen more frequently in patients requiring abdominal surgery for CD than in patients requiring abdominal surgery for other conditions. Therefore, perioperative optimization strategy is critical to reduce the postoperative complications, to avoid future recurrence and to maintain surgery induced remission.

RESUMO

Heortia vitessoides has been a serious defoliating pest of Aquilaria sinensis forests in recent years. The adults displayed strong tropism to the frequency trembler grid lamps and the nectar source plants. The favorite nectar source plants of H.vitessoides adults as the trap plants and the frequency trembler grid lamps in the integrated management of H.vitessoides were studied in the adult eclosion period through both the laboratory and field. The results showed that Kuhnia rosmarnifolia and Santalum album plants showed strong attraction to the H.vitessoides adults, with significant differences among the different nectar source plants.K.rosmarnifolia and S.album as trap plants with board type of planting area to total planting area of 5%-10%, and the frequency trembler grid lamps trapped significantly more adults of H.vitessoides. These results suggested that the frequency trembler grid lamps and trap plants could play an important role in the integrated management of the pest H.vitessoides of A.sinensis.

RESUMO

As a traditional Chinese medicine, wolfberry (Lycium barbarum) has a long cultivation history and a good industrial development foundation. With the development of wolfberry production, the expansion of cultivation area and the increased attention of governments and consumers on food safety, the quality and safety requirement of wolfberry is higher demanded. The quality tracing and traceability system of production entire processes is the important technology tools to protect the wolfberry safety, and to maintain sustained and healthy development of the wolfberry industry. Thus, this article analyzed the wolfberry quality management from the actual situation, the safety hazard sources were discussed according to the HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control point) and GAP (good agricultural practice for Chinese crude drugs), and to provide a reference for the traceability system of wolfberry.
