RESUMO

In the context of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), characterized by dysregulated lipid metabolism in hepatocytes, the quest for safe and effective therapeutics targeting lipid metabolism has gained paramount importance. Sanhuang Xiexin Tang (SXT) and Baihu Tang (BHT) have emerged as prominent candidates for treating metabolic disorders. SXT combined with BHT plus Cangzhu (SBC) has been used clinically for Weihuochisheng obese patients. This retrospective analysis focused on assessing the anti-obesity effects of SBC in Weihuochisheng obese patients. We observed significant reductions in body weight and hepatic lipid content among obese patients following SBC treatment. To gain further insights, we investigated the effects and underlying mechanisms of SBC in HFD-fed mice. The results demonstrated that SBC treatment mitigated body weight gain and hepatic lipid accumulation in HFD-fed mice. Pharmacological network analysis suggested that SBC may affect lipid metabolism, mitochondria, inflammation, and apoptosis-a hypothesis supported by the hepatic transcriptomic analysis in HFD-fed mice treated with SBC. Notably, SBC treatment was associated with enhanced hepatic mitochondrial biogenesis and the inhibition of the c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK)/nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK)/NF-κB pathways. In conclusion, SBC treatment alleviates NAFLD in both obese patients and mouse models by improving lipid metabolism, potentially through enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis. These effects, in turn, ameliorate inflammation in hepatocytes.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the clinical value of C-reactive protein (CRP) combined with prothrombin time (PT) and partially activated thromboplastin time (APTY) in the diagnosis of neonatal late-onset sepsis. Methods From January 2013 to January 2018,100 neonates with sepsis admitted to our department of neonatology in Lishui Maternal and Child Health-Care Center were collected.According to the results of blood culture, neonates with positive blood culture were classified as sepsis group A (53 cases),and neonates with negative blood culture were classified as sepsis group B (47 cases).Another 50 normal newborns born at the same period were included in the control group. The CRP,PT and APTT values of the three groups were detected and compared. The receiver-operating characteristic curves (ROC) were plotted to obtain the area under ROC curve (AUC) and the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value.Another ROC curve was plotted to obtain the area under ROC curve (AUC) and the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value for a new variable,CPR + PT + APTT,which was established using a binomial logistic regression method. Results The results of CPR,PT and APTT in the control group, sepsis group A and sepsis group B all increased in turn (F=10.616,6.155,5.243,P =0.000,0.000,0.000).CPR + PT + APTT had the largest AUC (0.94),the highest sensitivity (93.42%),the highest specificity (91.66%),the highest positive predictive value (92.60%),and the highest negative predictive value (78.55%) in the four indicators. Conclusion When blood culture fails to diagnose late-onset neonatal sepsis, combined detection of CPR + PT + APTT can provide some clues for its early diagnosis, which is worthy of clinical attention.

RESUMO

Objective To study the clinical features and treatments of childhood systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) complicated with macrophage activation syndrome (MAS). Methods Clinical data of a patient with SLE complicated with MAS were retrospectively analyzed, and relevant literatures were reviewed. Results An eight-year-old girl diagnosed as SLE two years ago was admitted to the hospital with complaint of high fever for over one week. Peripheral blood cytopenia, hypofibrinogenemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hyperferritinemia and hepatolienomegaly occurred after admission gradually. Thus the child was diagnosed definitely as MAS. Conclusions SLE complicated with MAS is not rare. The disease progresses very rapidly and can be life-threatening, while early diagnosis is very difficult. The key to improve prognosis is early diagnosis and treatment.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVETo predict multi-targets by multi-compounds found in Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata and construct the corresponding multi-compound-multi-target network.

METHODBased on drug-target relationships of FDA approved drugs, a model for predicting targets was established by random forest algorithm. This model was then applied to predict the targets of Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata and construct the multi-compound-multi-target network.

RESULTThe predicted targets of 22 compounds of Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata are validated by literature. Each compound in the established network was correlated with 16. 3 targets on average, while each target was correlated with 4. 77 compounds on average, which reflects the "multi-compound and multi-target" characteristic of Chinese medicine.

CONCLUSIONThe proposed approach can be used to find potential targets of Chinese medicine.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To establish a HPLC method for the determination of the content of Ephedrine hydrochloride in Antiviral oral liquid. METHODS: The determination was performed on Diamonsil C18(250mm?4.6mm,5?m). The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.1% phosphate (6∶94) with flow rate of 1.0mL?min-1. The detection wavelength was 207nm and the column temperature was set at room temperature. RESULTS: The linear range of Ephedrine hydrochloride was 5.8~29.0?g (r=0.999 6), with average recovery at 98.13%,RSD=1.4%(n=9). CONCLUSION: This method was highly specific, sensitive and reproducible, and applicable for the quality control of Antiviral oral liquid.
